tagbond, post back your results or if you need help. I can post up what I do to bamt if you need.

24kilo & tagbond, try 1080/1500 i-20 powertune-20 on the MSI 280x's, it's what I'm running. I tried variations on engine clock from 950-1100 with 1080 being about the best so far. Everytime I twiddled with memoryclock it funked out. I get some variation in the hash, I'm not sure if it's cgminer or driver related (using old 12x drivers).

I'm on cgminer 3.4.3, will try a newer version when I get a chance. Maybe tonight.

Here's a quick snapshot of the rig with the R9's. GPU0 needs to be spaced out more:

And one of several rigs using MSI 7950's, this is the the one with the normal hottest temps. GPU1 is too close to GPU0:

Mark, Can I pay you 350 TAG for each rig? (350 TAG * 100 PHP = 35000 PHP).

How are you getting intensity of 20? I can nothing over 13 to work... the hardware errors just go through the roof.

It's probably OS and/or driver related. You're running 13x drivers. I heard horror stories about folks under linux trying to use those with the 79xx series cards, so I never updated BAMT from the 12x drivers. I would say to start there, go back to whatever the latest 12x drivers were.

If that doesn't fix it, I'd say it might be Windows, but that's just a maybe. I'm thinking more driver related.

I'm using BAMT 1.1 modified (a debian OS) with 12x drivers on cgminer 3.4.2/3.

@24kilo - regarding charges, we are dependent on the banks for the wire transfer charges - Standard Chartered charges $10 to receive and $20 to send, and we add on $5 to each. Within the Philippines, in PHP there are no charges dealing in Pesos. If we were to open a bank account in USA, that would require me creating a company there, which is not an option right now due to regulatory concerns in USA. So we are stuck with the charges for wire transfers.

Paypal have recently made positive comments about Bitcoin, so we have decided to take in up to $200 ($50, $100 and $200 payments), with a 5% fee taken off each before depositing to the Tagbond account (they charge us 4.4% plus transaction fee). For payouts we can pay out with a $5 fee. However, we can only pay out from the Paypal account as much as in there - we will display the Paypal balance publicly so people know how much is available. With our Philippines Paypal account, we cannot deposit USD from a bank, we have to depend on USD coming in from customers, so no choice on that. We would also require KYC stuff done (govt ID and utility bill, same as for wire transfers) and display a message stating that if any chargeback was to take place, the user would be permanently banned from Tagbond. We have to do this to make sure we are protected. China now has KYC regulations for people trading crypto currency, and even though we don't have it yet, I think it is not far off where exchanges in the West are also required to do the same.

We will work on other emoney systems to get money into Tagbond, but that's what we have at the moment. If anyone has better ideas let me know - it' a problem for all businesses like ours - cannot imagine what Cryptsy will have to do to satisfy banks and regulators in USA...Wink

hey mark I had to cancel that transfer of aud450 that we agreed since I wrongly sent it in php instead. I that I will get time to resend when I got to south Sudan but am currently caught up in the coup attempt in juba. Can't wait to get back to Australia. Three days of gun fight is more then I wanted on my holiday. Been holed up in my hotel for 4 days now.using my mobile to access internet.

@nmak - keep safe, need you back home in one piece so we can talk more about how we can push TAG into Africa...

@Dabs - Not going to sell rigs at a future price of PHP...that's the price I will be selling it for, not buying at..lol... but perhaps we can do a deal so you can pay me back in TAG while you mine it - ..Smiley - Let me get BAMT working to get the cards up to 750khs.

to the miners: I have 2 GPUs per mobo, and they are close together, so one is always hotter than the other..they are on a shelving rack, so will re arrange it so there is room for a PSU connected fan to blow straight through the cards - I cannot get PCI risers here so not an option just yet to separate them - will buy some in from china, as they are about $3 and no doubt people will want them as more miners come online here in Philippines. As for the horror stories, I guess I have gone through those problems and using latest beta drivers so that's why I can't get them higher than 600 at most. High temps don't help either.

Okay. Hmmm...  Yah, you should be selling them for 100.01, and buy them for 99.99.

I got a few TAG which I will put on your exchange for sale for 100.01 PHP, over the weekend, see if that gets things moving. I don't think anyone from here will buy, but your merchants might.

Everyone else who got TAG, you might want to do the same. (don't price it at 99, that would defeat the point, but hey, free market.)

A deal is fine with me. You have my email, let me know. (or PM).

makes no sense to have the spread that slim - sell price at 100, and buy price at 80 - means that merchants can buy from 80 upwards, especially larger blocks at 100 - customers that earn TAG that want to cash in can sell them to merchants on the exchange or directly in person, probably in exchange for goods and services tho. The idea will be be to create a stable price - this was the original idea we had when first starting Tagbond, before we knew of Crypto. The idea then was to create our own centralized currency with a cap on how many there were, and then sell for a certain price, and pay back at 80% of value. So now with crypto, we can approximate that by controlling the supply at least for the Philippines market. We will see how that goes..Smiley

Mark, see if you can get these on the cheap: http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/1021325751/1x_to_1X_4x_8x_16x.html.  I've been eyeing this style for a few days now.  I just got a regular 1x to 1x powered riser and it ended up being bad.  I'll scoop up a half dozen or so of these via a tag transaction if you can get them cheap.

I need risers badly... not available for any price here.

I just brought another veggie crate miner online today... took me most of the day... this unit is abit more professional... a few less zip ties!!!

I still need to figure out how the whole TAG thing works... will be trying to get my account set-up and move some TAG to the exchange tonight.

I think it has to do with your "--gpu-threads 2" setting.  If you set it to 1, then you can go above intensity 13.  But for the 280x, you run at 2 gpu threads.  For 290x, you run with 1.

Installed and booted BAMT 1.2 on 8GB stick...but no networking, tried to add from right hand menu, tried to set manually via /etc/network and resolv.conf but no luck. Does BAMT need configuring of network cards?

I tested the cards, seems 1.2 needs updating of drivers, will try the v12 drivers before beta 13...

UPDATE: seems the mobo needs an update of the lan driver..

will try that later and see if it works..

So, I should sell at 100, and buy at 80. And you (tag business platform) will also sell at 100 and buy at 80. What might happen is all the miners will sell to you at 80, and the merchants will buy from you at 100, unless you run out of TAG, and then the merchants buy from the miners at 100.

In any case, I think we can work out a deal where I buy some of your P35k miners outright, and I can get the rest for your proposed TAG-back arrangement.

The problem is, I don't know where to put them. I can only keep one unit at home. I have a friend who's got a server, so I can stick another there.

I'd be interested. Can you post specs, like what mobo, memory, cpu, psu?

Keep us up to date Smiley

Regarding settings, I don't specify the gpu threads flag in my config--I can't recall what it defaults to. Here's a rough breakdown of what I do have:

Intensity: 20
Worksize: 256
Kernel: Scrypt
Threadconcurrency: 24000
Expiry: 120
Engine: 1080
Memory: 1500
Powertune: 20
Queue: 1
Scantime: 60

Those risers look good, have asked them to send me pricing - Schenzen is a place I go quite often for supplies..seems there might be a small market for stuff I can sell via Tagbond for crypto (TAG, BTC etc), stuff I can source in China...

The specs I use are

Adata auv128 usb 3.0 flashdrive (8GB)
Intel g3220 @
Gigabyte GA-z87-d3hp
gskill 2gb 1333
Cougar gx1050 1050w
2 x Sapphire r9-280x

Had them working with xubuntu on USB stick, but no more than 600khs..I know they can do more..so just experimenting and learning..it's a hobby tho..:-)

Struggling a bit with BAMT...cards not registering properly, or just one is - playing with AMD drivers to see if I can use 12.8 since they get more khs than latest beta drivers.

I use BAMT successfully and have 7970s, and R9 280s running. They average right at 744Kh/s, so 2.9 Mh/s per rig. I run 4 cards per MB with risers.

One note of caution on the BAMT rigs I go through USB drives every 30 - 60 days. Not sure why. I can repartition, reformat and reuse them but each time the length of time they run goes down. On the other hand if I just leave them run and do not make any changes they will keep running even if the USB goes bad. I always catch it when changing to  a different coin or doing something else that interrupts the machine.

Good Luck!

Just one card is showing up on bamt in cgminer? Hrm. You cuold try the fglrx trick.

Also, I haven't tried 1.2, I'm using 1.1. Wonder if that makes a difference.
