http://tag.hashfaster.com is on new version and solving blocks. Payouts will be paused for 24 hours.

Are the orphans still high when finding a block or is the new version on the pool solves that?

Due to the nature of whats going on, no coins should be sent or received until after block 12000, which should be in a few hours time.

What's the reason for the fork? Just curious...

Bug in the difficulty algorithm causing the difficulty to drop to 0, which causes a bunch of forks to happen.

on the site it says found:14 valid:14 orphan:0
yet the notice states: "Orphans will be normal until network fork occurs! BEWARE."

Does this mean they also won't be showing up in the "Unconfirmed" earnings field? Because they aren't.

Right now the longest blockchain is 10780.

If you're below that, delete your block data and restart the client.

Read:

Due to the nature of whats going on, no coins should be sent or received until after block 12000, which should be in a few hours time.

There are multiple forks occuring right now, these issues won't be resolved until block 12000.

"There is only one blockchain and yes it is safe to use cryptsy, there is no fork as such. Just the difficulty going up and down as PoS blocks mined, which will be resolved from 12000 block coming in about 24 hours. Just giving everyone time to upgrade the software."  (from tagbond)

So which is it?

Guess it doesn't matter, there are noticeably different forks out there.  Is it first to 1200 wins the race?  What determines the chain used pre-1200 once we hit 1200?

Up in smoke? You mean it's going to die? You're wrong mate Wink

This is just a problem because the TagCoin is new. It will be solid later, believe me Wink. I see a bright future for this coin.

He didn't mean it like that, he meant all the coins from mining on the wrong chain are lost forever. Smiley TAG is a solid coin, hope this makes it stronger.

Ah yeah, unfortunately those coins are probably gone indeed. I'm glad the news about the fork was so fast reported here, and the pools reacted quite fast on it. I didn't really lost any TAG, as I started mining DGC for a little while.

@ Tagbond; the website is currently really slow. It looks like it's especially the TagExchange part of the website. It seems unavailable to reach for me.

I am new to TAG, which pools have been updated and are actually working?

I tred http://tag.cryptominer.net/ and just get a blank white page.

stratum+tcp://mine-tag.scryptmining.com:3448 doesn't accept any of my mining output even though I triple checked my worker name and password I have registered there. cgminer says I even found a block but nothing shows on the website.

Any list of addnodes with updated version? to sync main chain?

Minar.cc pools are not running anymore, the domain was registered by someone else and I don't have any relationship with the new owner.

Same situation here, for so many hours, and quite a balance, not withdrawn. No explanation given, so I'm calling out scam on cryptominer.net. :/

As for the rest, I'd also love to know which pools are updated to the last version!

Slow down, chief.  Torzy's pool isn't a scam.  There was a fork in the network that caused multiple forks to occur.  Everything will go back to normal once the total block count hits 12000.  Until then, transactions and trades on Tagcoin is in limbo.

Cryptopools is up to date but we've shut off mining until the fork is fixed as a true pps pool its far too costly to operate on a fork

I understand that, but it doesn't really explain why there is only a blank white page.

Secondly is not going to get to block 12,000 very quickly if you can't mine!

It's a blank white page because Torzy said it was down until things were resolved.  Why do people still not understand that?  Shit is jacked up right now.  Instead of people trying to mine on a defunct fork, he shut the site down until things get resolved.

There are a few pools(mine and hashfaster's for instance) that are "working" on a fork right now that is at 10871, which I think is the highest out there.  This was at 10200-10300 this morning.  It's getting there... just let it happen, and let things get ironed out.
