@xploss - there is a survey tagvert that can reward users for answering surveys  Smiley. Agree as well on avoiding mainstream markets.

@centurion - excited for tagyak!

I too like the idea of gaming companies making use of Tags. In-game achievements go with the rewards aspect, micro-transactions for premium items for the currency.

Can anyone think which company might benefit from using TAG as a rewards coin and why... I will reward someone with the best idea..Wink - we are approaching companies here in Philippines but for USA, Europe, elsewhere thinking about which company would be a likely target...not too big, not too small...without a rewards system already..Wink

So ideally a company that can use it both as a rewards currency, as well as micro transactions which solve a problem for them..

My idea is from china online shops www.dealerextreme.com and www.buyincoins.com both company selling small electronic etc stuff from clothes to everything you need and dont need with really low price. Quality is not many times best but they delivery and prices is fast and good to europe also.

Second idea is www.iherb.com and www.vitacost.com both USA companys selling nutritional supplement and delivery to everywhere in world. Both offer already own rewards program where you get small price from customers what you invite so maybe they want offer that also in coins.

Last two i think is too big companies but maybe good to try never know Smiley

Third idea gaming company like www.innogames.com they have many small web browser games what is free to play but if you want use all features you need pay small prices $1-5 per month and can use so much money you want to get different features to your game. No have any reward program yet.

You mean DealExtreme right? (DX.com). That would be great, I think their company and business is huge. I like them Smiley

 Can you post a link what all these can be used for? I'm just a miner, don't fully understand Tag yet.

They connect to your Tagbond account via the smartphone app, and are used for check-ins and such at TAG adopting businesses.  Currently in the US, there aren't any that I know of, but that doesn't mean it won't happen.  I am offering these as an early adopter item, and a way of spreading the word on TAG and it's various services.  Telling someone about TAG is one thing, but being able to show them the app, the services, the card that connects to the profile, all of that... it all makes it a reality.

So as far as a use... right now in the states... getting the word out, and pure bragging rights that you have one of the first 100 brought over Smiley

We have just moved tag.cryptopools.com to its own server.  The slow response of the website is resolved.  Pool is back online.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

Happy mining.

I shoved some machines over there and got nothing but rejects and 'share above difficulty' errors. Only tag pool to give me that since switching back. Any idea what's going on there? It's like it couldn't compensate for the speed.

Guys, thanks for the feedback - just finished our TAG Hackathon, and had 2 clear winners and a close 3rd..Wink - All using the Tagbond API and TAG, crypto and all done over 24 hours by teams of 3 people.

1st - Find For Me: An site for helping others find what they want. Like Quora but for actual work done, like:
- Find me a girlfriend (bit of pimping anyone..), but seriously, get rewarded for arranging a date for someone.
- Find me an office to rent in a part of town I an interested in. You are paying a reward for someone to do the research for you, if you don't have time
- Handling any kind of research via virtual assistants, kind of a freelancer system for someone to help others find what they want.

2nd - Tag-Help: A site for charity management and giving - ie: you can manage your own charity and track members, present projects (tagverts) to them. On the member side, you can manage different charities that you donate to, or want to keep track of what they are doing. This will work well with another coin I am developing, Charity Coin.

3rd - Whack a bunny. A hybrid android app / web app for whacking cute bunnies back into the rabbit hole (like whack a mole), getting points or crypto that can be used to upgrade to better weapons to whack the bunnies, buy bunny merchandise, or choose different bunny types to whack. I suggested we could have an adult version of Spank the monkey...:-)

Some comments on the suggestions:

- Via Tagbond, anyone create competitions, polls and surveys and get rewarded based on input or just for taking the survey. I might do that shortly to get feedback and ideas, with a stated limit on how many to take.

- We need to beta test a game app to give points or crypto...personally i think giving points is better as game currency that you can then convert through another tagvert to TAG will circumvent some of the problems related to currency growing rapidly in value. Crypto has the same problem with pricing something that moves up or down so rapidly.

- I think because of regulations, games would be better to use Tagbond, that way they move the responsibilities of AML, KYC onto us, and let us deal with the problems of money transfer.

- I will be investing in games and sites, either buying them or building from scratch, possibly using open source or engines to make them faster, as a way to earn TAG.

Within the Philippines, we will be pushing education into crypto, but not from a technical perspective and not as a replacement for money, more as a reward that can be transferred to others, can give interest (when we sort the PoS issue), and may grow in value and can be used to purchase from other companies that participate.

If you want to see the growth of TAG, as I do, please let any companies, shops around you know about it and to suggest using it in some way. Not only do you educate people about crypto but if hold TAG, it will be a place you can spend it other than simply trading it on here. I disagree when stating that it should just be for people who are technical - this can and should be given to people who just appreciate the fact that is like airmiles, but you can transfer and spend it anywhere...that's the message to spread.

@Tagbond

Find a way that OFW's can send money back home via TAG and you will have a hit.

Growing up in Hong Kong our domestic helper was from Cebu and was always looking for a cheaper way to transfer money.

A TAG/XOOM partnership or TAG/LBC for some digital Balikbayan action..... (<--- It's a Filipino thing)

@BCX - We are working on it...although TAG may not be suitable for that, will probably create something specifically for that, either through Tagbond or via another niche coin.. It's not just the Philippines but Mexico as well...those are the biggest markets - however for USA to Mexico there are a few regulatory hurdles. One way or another we need to bypass Western Union fees...

Suggestions for block explorer. Search by address. But I think thats obvious. Essentially, try to make it look like blockchain.info.

I'm offline during the weekends and everything happens on those days, huh. Exciting times for a new coin.

Any miners with a 4+ GPU setup, would you kindly PM me, or post here? I'm going to acquire some 7950s and need a little help.

I'm mining there now without issues.  Did you change your miner to connect to tag.cryptopools.com:3334 instead of cryptopools.com:3334?  Need the http:// also

Ah thank you! I didn't notice that on the homepage I guess, as I had the same problem ^^. However, it seems my old miner was submitting accepted shares and a newer miner wasn't, but they had the same config. Weird, but now both are working again. Thank you!
