In other news:

Fork and orphans.

Tagmining is on block 39802, and Hashfaster is on block 39760.  Just a heads up.

-Fuse

There's got to be a solution to the forking, and I'm starting to wonder if there's more of a technical issue behind it than previously though. Bitcoin forks usually erupted because one pool was larger than all others, and just started freight-training away. In our case lately, tagmining has usually been ahead of other pools, despite having less hash and knocking out fewer blocks.

Really makes me raise my eyebrow.

OK, have send several emails, but since nobody cared to reply, not even after waiting 3 days, I will post it here.

ekylypse is the OP for scryptmining.  Please PM him or post something in the pool thread or the thread here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=213619.msg2257292

The botnet pool is a Chinese pool.  I don't believe the pool op is very active in this thread, so please PM user innovation for the botpool, or post in the ANN thread here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=320788.0

If you're looking for a solid pool, try tagmining.com, mate.(shameless plug over)

-Fuse

Excellent, thank you very much, will contact them.

In fact I was at your pool first and later again, in total more than 30 hours, but didn't receive even 0.0001 TAG due to all blocks being orphans at those times.

And yes, seems that the problems we were having have been solved by the update - does not seem to be many orphans generated anymore, and PoS is definately working - I successfully mined PoS coins recently..

Define 'many'. I've seen some waves of orphans hitting the network in the past 12 hours.

is there a fork goin on? seems like all the pools consider mining themselves...

i.e
pool hashrate = 100 MH/s
net hashrate = 100 MH/s

Huh

No, this coin does not have a network hashrate indicator.

The sample longer tagcoin.conf that dabs posted on page 117 of this thread is working. It's now syncing for me once I created it and restarted the wallet.

I'm using tagmining.com, and it shows last block found 56 minutes for the pool. Is that usual/unusual or just unlucky? Are there other pools with a higher hashrate which may give more luck?

The sample longer tagcoin.conf that dabs posted on page 117 of this thread is working. It's now syncing for me once I created it and restarted the wallet.
Finally I managed to figure out. All explanations wasn't clear enough so here it is:
Step 1:Go to folder \username\appdata\roaming\TagCoin (depends on your computer, often is C:\Users)
Step 2:Open your Notepad and add
rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=pass
maxconnections=500
reservedbalance=100000000
addnode=tagmining.com
addnode=cryptominer.net
addnode=hashfaster.com
addnode=162.243.125.91
Step 3:Save it like tagcoin.conf
Step 4:Start TagCoin-qt.exe

Sync should start

Trying this now. On a side note, what the hell is wrong with developers that this constantly is an issue with many different coins?

Update the damn client with the right seed nodes! How hard is that?!?!?

... and that doesn't even work.

Basically the wallet that the TAGcoin people are providing just plain does not work. Failure.

Its only the most profitable in theory, in reality with TAG it has always been far from the most profitable.

There is definitely a fork at moment.

TAGMining.Com is reporting a block count of 39949 and explorer.tagcoin.org is reporting a block count of 39792.
