In the last 24 hours, the trading volume of FUN/USDT on Poloniex is only 567 FUN tokens or $6.5. This is ridiculous because this volume indicates that there is no interest in the FUN token from traders.

I don't have FUN tokens, I don't know about their trading. As for the site, it is the most stable and has been working since about 2014. Well, the only thing that comes into my mind is that it is the traders who are bringing volume in this coin and it is not driven by the ones who invest in the project for the long term after studying the fundamentals of the project. Also when the volume comes into any coins that many traders jump into that coin for scalping and day trading too and also there are bots who get activated seeing the volume is coming in any coin. So a lot of factors are there due to which a lot of volume may be coming into this coin.

As I understood, FUN token is on its own now and you can't find ties between FUN and freebitco on FUN token's official website while in the past, FUN token was trying to associate itself with Freebitco and related projects like XFUN, Club Riches and Dplay. FUN token offers separate games like Coin Flip, Hi-Lo and Roll the Dice on their Telegram channel. They are almost trying to be their own independent casino. They also updated their Roadmap a few months ago. They are trying to build some hype, so maybe that's why this token is getting so much activity but I'm sure that a huge part of it is fake trading volume.

Daily volumes on exchanges take into account not only buy orders, but also sell orders. So, manipulators can make up huge volumes by buying and selling tokens from themselves. In other words, it doesn't mean that there are suddenly many people willing to purchase FUN tokens on Binance. This is just wash trading.
I think that if the Freebitcoin team or the FUN token developers themselves were not inflating trading volumes, the situation on FUN/USDT on Binance would be the same as it is now on Poloniex.

It is quite possible that the volume could be because of the FUN token stakeholders.
It can also be those people who are looking to get some quick profits since FUN has recently announced few updates.
It has been losing price over the years and hasn't delivered any value which is enough reason for everyone to keep a distance from it.

I'm not the kind of person who really follows FUN Token too closely. I’ve had some here and there, mostly because I sometimes convert my RP into FUN via the reward option (the one where you earn FUN with each faucet claim), and then I convert them again later.

That said, I want to say a few words in support of the team behind Freebitco. From what I remember, a few years ago the person responsible for managing FUN Token sadly passed away. After that, it’s clear that the project hit a lot of issues.

I used to work at a company where, when the historic CEO left, the next 18–24 months were a total disaster. New CEOs came and went every couple of months, people left, new people came in, no one knew who their real boss was… total chaos.
Only when the right leadership finally arrived did things stabilize and start growing again.

I feel like something similar may have happened here — a lot of issues piled up, the project probably went without proper management for too long, and when that happens, there’s not even time to rebuild; all you can do is try to patch the major problems and eventually relaunch.

The recent listing on Poloniex might be part of this relaunch — maybe we’ll see FUN getting listed on more exchanges in the coming weeks. Who knows, it might start recovering slowly.

I didn’t mean to suggest it was a hype move or anything like that. I just meant that maybe the FUNToken team has finally found a way to restart the engine — fixing a few things first, like reopening their Telegram channel, getting listed on a new exchange, and possibly aiming for more listings. Not necessarily to create hype, but to slowly rebuild the project.

As for whether Freebitco.in and FUNToken share the same owners — honestly, I don’t know. I have my doubts too. But it looked like, for a long time, the two companies worked in sync, maybe with some formal agreement that eventually fell apart due to various issues. Now they both might be trying to bounce back — together or separately.

When a token is listed on Binance like the FUN token in this case, there is no hype for the token if later it gets listed on low volume exchange like Poloniex. The current surge in the price is not because of this listing news, but it is just the pump as bitcoin reaches all time high and most low cap coins are having some short term pumps.

if that was the case, you would see the unconfirmed coins in your wallet and you could actually spend them, assuming your wallet allows it.

the fees did increase over the past few days from 1 sat/vB to up to 6 sat/vB, but the mempool isn't that congested, and could still get away with paying ~2 sat/vB and get your transaction confirmed in a reasonable time.
so the delay in your payment has nothing to do with the high bitcoin rate or transaction fees, it's just how it is with freebitco.in unfortunately. you never know when your withdrawal request will be processed.

The problem is that these people deposit their Bitcoins on any random website they see on the Google Search engine. This thread is full of newbie accounts, which means that lots of them have no idea about the existence of Bitcointalk or ignore this website but they only come when they get scammed by freebitco and then type freebitco scam on Google Search and get Bitcointalk threads in result. That's when they come here, register and post their issues.
If people had the habit of checking the casino of bitcointalk.org at first before registering on the website, then they wouldn't have so many issues.
