The thread has been active since 2013 and the title change referring to our wagering contest is fairly recent. Maybe you could do some research before spamming suggestions like that.

If you do not take your own security seriously than I can not think how many people will try to rip you off by doing as much as they can because stealing money from someones bank account or wallet on the street is dangerous and risky and would probably result in jail time most of the time but stealing someones crypto is not that dangerous for the person who steals it.

Take care of your own security and make sure you are at all times have the access to it with upmost features including 2fa, I had my phones screen broken for the past couple of weeks and I have used my wife's phone for 2fa in the past weeks just to make sure I stay on top of things, never let go of your crypto for even a second because its incredibly important to keep an eye on it.

I think this applies to anyone who wants to go online and connect to other computers and other people. Does not even really apply only to Bitcoin/Crypto users.

2fa has a lot of sense, only if you can restore synonymous. Of course I was stupid and did not write or find my secretkey anymore. and now you can not restore. it only has no meaning at freebitco. It looks like fraud. and the only excuse is safety. in other side I could restore everything.

Well, there is a difference

For example, you may have your Facebook account hacked, but that in most cases will not be a big deal anyway unless you keep some private information there (read, you are a celebrity and uploaded your home porno to your account). You just restore your access, change password, and that's pretty much it

On the other hand, when your bitcoins get stolen, there is no way back and you irreparably lose financially. That likely explains why people are so negligent about keeping security at a high level now that they are using crypto. With their skin in the game they simply don't fully understand the consequences of their negligence until it is too late

I wish I also had some referrals making money for me. How do people collect them? I know posting it on other forums, twitter etc may get you 1-2 refs if you are lucky but I am seeing people with hundreds of refs.

I hate to be a ref to somebody else and my mistake is I assume everybody is like me so I don't even bother with sharing my ref link.

Just getting enough referrals is not enough (pardon the pun)

They should also be doing something like rolling, dicing, etc to actually bring you dough. Out of my 123 referrals only a couple has been active recently, and I expect it to be no different on average from other folks having so many (or even more). If you want to make money through them, you should always be devising new methods of attracting a fresh flock of referrals as there is tough competition in this field (apart from people going away constantly)

Hey Freebitco is indeed one of the oldest and my favourite faucet site, I have very found memories there most notably hitting the 9999 number. Also the key to getting referrals is to act smart, don’t target every forum you know select the one where you can offer commission to people who sign up under you. Those people with 100+ referrals offer 80 -90% commission to their referrals, which is automated in freebitco hence their referrals are more active.
