Unfortunately, it is really seems to be so. The lack of a control has it's flaws, so scammers have a great range of ways to fraud on cryptocurrency market. However, now even good and promising projects sometimes can't reach hardcaps, so maybe the situation will become better in the near future

Scams among ICO are many but not more than 30-40%. Many investors want to see a rise in the price of the token as early as possible, but until the project team achieves concrete results this will not happen.

I have no idea about the breakdown or the percentage of scammers in initial coin offering companies.
All I know there are some opportunist people that will used that chance to steal your money and they are the one who will benefit from that money.

there are a lot of scams, that's true.
but 80% seems like a lot of overkill to me.
I think that there are especially many bad projects, badly prepared, and launched by incompetent teams.
that's why when you want to invest in a project, it's very important to be well informed and not just follow a buzz or a popular project.

And despite this horrifying statistics, many people are still happy to invest in ICOs. It seems to me that only lucky men win here and this group of people that are true professionals. Many investors lose.

It still all boils down to having due diligence in researching the ICOs you're interested in. That's pretty much enough 90% of the time.

I read somewhere that even an even greater percentage of ISO is just scammers and I think that this is a true truth, because he himself was convinced of how many swindlers and how much money they had already stolen from investors

There are already over 1,600 sighted ICOs this year since January and sad to say there are about or around 20% of them had passed and bumped into www.coinmarketcap.com list as newly listed altcoins to be legally traded in the crypto market so I think Yes, most of the ICOs running today cannot proceed to the finish line as some of them are scams, fraud and bogus ICOs that were trying to rob investors' money and crypto assets.

I joined a lot of bounty campaigns since last year on 3rd quarter and until today but unfortunately half of them went suddenly gone, stopped or suspended and half of them are indeed paying but half of my altcoins in my wallet have still no value until today.
that's why we couldn't always rely on bounty campaigns and the reason why most of the bounty campaign participants are having multiple forum accounts in order to join as many bounty campaigns available.

Scam? notes. serious ico will not do a scam. because they are already in preparation. different if ico is a ico that originated from a lending or an unnatural investment. no team appearance. this is obvious they want to commit fraud

I think 95% of the ico is fraud, which is to defraud the investor's money, and then increase the encryption price, and investors buy more expensive encryption to lose money.

This is exactly why you should research any investment vehicle.  Please read my other post on investing in crypto.  There are fundamental principles that should be followed to decrease your chances of becoming a victim of fraud!!

unfortunately yes, because in this world there’s a lot of scammer that the only thing they want or called objective is to gain profits for their own goods even
if fooling others in terms of business is absolutely prohibited.

To my great regret, statistics are really very deplorable, I think that such a percentage is really real, because now it is more and more difficult to select projects, but we are going to a better world, so today the best option is integration of verification not by investors themselves, but by developers themselves.

Sometimes I think that more than 80% ICO is a scam! It is awful and if it will be so in near future I don't know how will we make cryptocurrency more popular...

This is a huge problem because it's hard to choose a real project. Even very promising can turn out to be a scam. Tami I've had lately. I received tokens but nothing worth it.

There are good, there are bad, and there are simply losers. The last two options are succeeding in the market. Therefore, everyone believes that the bench a lot, in fact, some projects practice instantaneous transfer of investment in the case and after the failure can not return anything.

if in my opinion not also ICO until fraud, I think the average ICO may be a fraud from the stack division only. If it's not getting paid it's impossible. According to my find and I have ever felt such a thing.
