I do not think that 80% of ICOs are scams. You need to analyze them first before joining an ICO. And, not all ICOs will succeed. Therefore, you have to be wise while choosing your own ICOs in order to invest. There are many fail ICOs out there and people keep saying that they are scammers. That is wrong. Fail does not mean they are scammers

With the number of ICO at this time of course scam opportunities are very large, based on data tokenmarket.net currently live ICO reaches hundreds, in addition to prone to scam would be more difficult to achieve softcap especially hardcap.

Now there are a lot of scam projects, but not more than 20-30%.  But good, successful projects are also few.

Well scam and unsuccessful are both the same to me.

If they keep the prices and hard-cap too high intentionally, then I would say that they are scamming the unsuspecting investors. The legal definition may differ, but this is what I think. Those who invest their money in the ICO will lose most of their capital, once the tokens are listed.

Conducting KYC makes crypto-currencies and ICOs more legal. And the day approaches when they will be accepted by the whole world and equal in importance to securities. Therefore, one has to understand this procedure with understanding, since the benefits from it are obvious. Cool

80% is a very loud statement. There are a lot of good projects. That's just confused by the fall in prices in the market, because of this will be a lot of unhappy investors and participants bounty

It is only our responsibility to find out whether some ICO project is worth participating because there are so many fake ones in the market that you do need to spend time and research before joining them.

80% are too big. Maybe for this time just 20%-30%. But it will be growing again and again. Maybe in the future, people will be hard to distinguish the legit and the scam. And maybe, because of all of SCAM ICOs, Crypto market has fall drastically.

It's just my opinion, don't take it seriously.

Characteristics ico scam usually offers a project, with low capital but will benefit doubled, if in the crypto world is usually the characteristics are expired
the domain is only briefly, the web display is less interesting (lack of a reliable programmer), the roadmap is not clear, etc.

Scammers will not be eliminated in this crypto world, we can only anticipate it, so as not to be fooled, Careful in choosing an investment.

This can not be, I follow the rating, and sometimes those ICO projects that have gone out of their way, come back, most just stop believing in these projects after this and that's all, this cut a percentage.

I think so. We can be cheaten by others if we are not careful enough. We need to make enough research while we do the the investment. The more careful we are, the better we will be. Just do the right thing.

today there are many bad ISO, fraudulent projects ... I hope that in the near future such projects will be much less, and the team will be criminally responsible for the fraud project. then it will be easier to invest in projects and there will be more trust in them.

It seems to me that the scam of projects is less than 80%.  A lot of projects that have not reached the soft cap.

Now really a lot of scam projects, but I think not more than 30%.  The remaining projects do not reach the soft cap.

When you invest in something there is always a risk. The same is with ICO. Not all of them are scams some of them just cannot complete all the tasks. But I agree with all who are telling that large amount of ICO like 70% are just scamming because you can gather a lot of money.
My advice if you invest in something then analyze it from all perspectives. Don't be greedy and don't invest with blindfolded eyes.

All ICO project should has rules to protect investor from lose by program buy back token and burn token model, by this way developer can avoid big loss of their investor from big drop of token price. Regulation is also very important to make sure the project has awesome product and will manage by solid team. ICO market now to big in quantity but low in quality product, because they can issued and create token easyly without any working product, many project does not continue to development the idea of project.  Smiley Wink

I agree that there are  a lot of scam projects on the crypto market, ICO has became the way to earn free money, this makes very bad influence over crypto market. But we should not forget that there are a lot of good projects and we need them, so we should support them. For example Ambit Mining ICO - very good project, which has potential to make some changes in crypto world.

Not just 80% but probably higher than 90% because legit ICOs only exist twice or thrice a week but scam ICOs are created and announced 10x or more than that everyday.  And by just looking at those data, I'm having so much disappointment seeing a lot of money goes to these scammers.
