Owning bitcoin isn't crime because it is just a digital money. On the other hand bitcoin can be use for commit a crime. You can buy whatever you want totally anonymously. No one can trace from where bitcoin come and that this is your money. For now mostly countries allow to having bitcoin.
Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

I think generally it's not a crime, it's not like drugs wherein caught
possessing one simply implies the premise of an illegal activity.
This is another example of misconception with bitcoins, Bitcoin may
be used by criminals or illegal transactions but that doesn't entirely
place it the same shoes as criminals. I think it's a loophole that
authorities are looking into, that's why I believe regulation is an
inevitable possibility with cryptocurrency.

If you have bitcoin and use it daily to send and receive bitcoin or make a trade I think it's not a crime at all, so use bitcoin wisely. Because having bitcoin is not a crime, the crime is if you use bitcoin to deceive people or use bitcoin to corrupt, and something else that uses bitcoin for criminal activity

I think having bitcoin is not a crime, for example if you have what property it is also called a crime? certainly not but will be called a crime if you use to fund illegal activities such as terrorism or drug transactions.
having bitcoin is a good thing for being a wealth asset

Possesses bitcoin as well as holding a gun  Huh Smiley Huh
http://bitcoinnews.com/cryptocurrencies-gun-crime-canada/

I believe not, it has never been a crime. We all know that having a bitcoin is also having a big ooportunity and responsibility and holding it isn't a crime but it's actually a blessing. It becomes a crime if we use it in negative and illegal way. It is different from possesing an illegal weapon.

The question is where do you live? It might be a crime to possess Bitcoin depending on your location. If Bitcoin is regarded as illegal by the government of your country, then it is a crime to possess and you will also be punished if you’re caught. But for where I’m living, having Bitcoin is not regarded as any crime and people who use it can even talk about it in public. There are even open stores where you can go in to exchange your Bitcoins or any other cryptocurrency for cash.

It depends on the laws applicable in a country. Each country has a different policy towards cryptocurrency. Make sure you fully understand the laws of your country, before deciding to invest with bitcoin.

owning bitcoin is never a crime and it can never a crime since its not an illegal deal. though we have countries with their policies but since bitcoin is not an harmful object or weapon but an online means of exchange of goods and services. which can be use for trading or shopping. Therefore owing or investing into bitcoin is not a crime but a choice.

in some countries like China it could be indeed considered as crime. However in wide majority of states it's not the problem at all, while in some countries it perfectly legal
Bitcoin is just a currency which is helping people in becoming rich and financially stable over the passage of time. Bitcoin is simply entertaining and helping those who are really interested in changing their lifestyles. The thing is that bitcoin is the one which is helping everyone without any sort of discrimination. So I think it is really a shame for them who have declared bitcoin illegal.

Owning and holding bitcoin is not a crime because it is nothing illegal about it. Governments can ban it but this doesn't make it illegal

Well, it's too rude that this is scam, for me if you do not know about the block system and just call it a scam it's not to have experience with it.
