and if we are only owning bitcoin it is not included in a crime because we don't use the bitcoin and only have in our wallet. and I think if we use bitcoin too, it is not a crime and I don't think that the government can check for every their citizen to know which people that have bitcoin in their home. it still far away from the government and they cannot detect who is owning bitcoin in their country.

No, not at all. why owning bitcoin is related to crime ?
It is not that we got bitcoin from nowhere, we buy and invest bitcoin with our money, so it is legal.
bitcoin is a long term investment. everyone can earn profit from holding it long term.

Holding a gun? Why do bitcoins kill? Bitcoins are not illegal. Can be abroad because it is illegal and can be complied with. But in countries like the Philippines it is legal and you can freely use it

owning bitcoin is not a crime, the crime is if you using bitcoin to scamming people or use bitcoin to do a corruption, and something else that use bitcoin for criminal activity, if you have bitcoin and use it daily to send and receive the bitcoin or make a trading I think its not a crime at all, so use bitcoin wisely

Bitcoin is not synonymous with crime, but it is true that many organizations and even governments try to associate crypto with criminalization.

It's pretty sad that anyone would put kidde fiddling on the blockchain.  It's even sadder if any governments would attempt to punish all the users of that blockchain for something they have no control over.

I don't think that owning a BTC can be compared to a gun possession. You can use BTC both for good and bad purpose just like you can use fiat currency for legal and illegal purpose.

I don’t think that owning bitcoin is crime. The article is telling about that crimes are done by using cryptocurrencies. But there is no fault of cryptos own. Some people are using it in wrong way. But imposing some rules and laws, this kind of crimes can be eradicated.

If owning a gun is not a crime, then how can we consider that owning bitcoin is a crime. And if it is so, then why owning Dollar is not a crime which is also a currency. I think that those people who are owning bitcoin are the most lucky people specially those own are owing bitcoin for last few years.

Since the word Crime is subject to the law of a given territory/organization, so it can be a crime if holding it is considered so where an individual resides.
That's the simplified answer.

Definitely no, even that of gun. If your gun has license, why would it be illegal. Even in Bitcoin, if you acquired it through your hardwork and your money, it is not illegal. Unless, your country banned bitcoin, which make your bitcoin illegal one.

Owning a bitcoin is not a crime. Are you using your bitcoin in an illegal way? I think not. Are you using bitcoin to take advantage to others or to scam? No. So how come it will be illegal, like using a no license gun. I use bitcoin for a long time and I don't see any bad about it. Please, stop this news.

Gun kills bitcoin don't. There might be an idea around this post that they equate bitcoin with a hand gun. It is not just to say that a person had made a crime for possessing bitcoin. What crime will occur if a person is just using the coins to buy something not even illegal online? I think there must be some big points for such a declaration.
