Holding Bitcoin isn't a crime at all. Simply, we can consider bitcoin as a means of payment in itself. In this case, there is no difference between bitcoin and fiat money. Some countries are still banning bitcoin as a way of making transactions because they have not taken regulative steps towards it yet. However, using bitcoin in line with other altcoins will become a matter of fact.

I agree, that such a thing is not a crime because the crime is very harmful to all people, we better believe and believe that bitcoin is not a crime

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

It depends on the person holding the bitcoin. Will he use it in illegal or legal transactions. But I am sure that bitcoin must carry a peaceful mission. And most people have good intentions.

I do not think so, because bitcoin or cryptocurrency are goods that can be used for investment. people in general might also think so.

Do not be afraid to hold bitcoins if you know that it is legal here in your country be afraid if you live in china area

Owning BTC cannot be compared to owning a weapon, and guns can still be legally held for self protection. BTC isn't harmful to anyone and cant kill either, so holding it isn't as illegal
the punishment of having btc is not to be disputed in law like possessing a weapon, btc can instead serve as an economic auxiliary not like a weapon used for a crime.

For me its not, but due to the fact that Bitcoin is a very expensive cryptocurrency I guess you are puting the gun unti yourself specially if you let other people know that you are having Bitcoin, not being selfish but be practical and secure that people will attack you whenever they have the chance.

Depends and may be illegal, Especially in countries banned the use of bitcoins. There is a law that each country should follow as it is in the Philippines must know the government how much we hold bitcoins so we can pay a tax. But some of us do not say it because they find it difficult to find out if we have really hidden bitcoins

That's where the problem is. Even we can't deny the fact that crypto currency is an ideal medium of payment for such illegal trades. That's where the gap exists. Neither the Canadian government nor this article mentioned that owning crypto currency is illegal in Canada. It's the usage of crypto currency to facilitate such illegal trades through dark web

Is owning bitcoin a crime ?, is owning coin a crime ?, is owning money a crime ?,I do not think so, basically bitcoin is a medium of exchange as well as the definition of money in some countries there are legitimate, there are countries that do not legalize, there are also countries that have not yet legalized but can be used bitcoin as one of the means of exchange.
in the article or news bitcoin only seen from the negative side only while the positive side is not seen. all countries will receive bitcoin because many things are profitable only time can answer and I believe owning bitcoin is not a crime because I'm not doing anything crime from bitcoin.

Owning bitcoin is not a crime because bitcoin is not the equipment for crime.  Bitcoin is digital money.  So nothing to do with evil.

Owning a bitcoin is just like holding a money. Only that the difference is money is not digital unlike bitcoin . So pessessing it is not a crime.Just make sure your also using it in good things or not to use it for scamming other people. And  if its regulated in your country that bitcoin is not allowed so,  thats when crime exist.

Assuming bitcoin to be criminal is the same as assuming having money is a criminal. Or think that having gold is a criminal. All three have a volatile value, only bitcoin has the highest volatility. What makes it a criminal is the user who uses them for criminal purposes.

Holding bitcoins in your wallet has no relation to holding a gun and i don't think holding bitcoin is that much Dangerous in any country. Well there are countries out there in this world where holding and trading bitcoin is illegal and i think holding bitcoin is illegal only if your government says so otherwise, you can hold it there is nothing wrong in it and also if it is really illegal to hold than you must not disclose to anyone there are many traders who are using loopholes to use bitcoin and other Crypto's.
