If any coin/token will be able to replace bitcoin after several years, I think that the most possible one is ethereum.

to talk about bitcoin replacement, it will be very hard to predict which one will be the best arrival to btc, because looking at the chart rightnow, we can see btc dominance is always more than 40%, while ETH and Ripple is too small to be compared with btc, i don't mean Altcoins will never be able to replace btc but they will have a very long time to fight against btc dominance.

Bitcoin is still the master of all coins and even a strong etherium cannot replace it. Its dominance is still high until now and it will continue to rise in the future. Not unless the world will turn against it. But, altcoins can become the next bitcoin someday. Who knows?. For now, ill bet for etherium because its the second popular cryptocurrency here in our country.

I think that no altcoins will replace bitcoin. This is the core of all cryptocurrencies.

I still see nothing for now but it's really possible that bitcoin might be replaced. It could be bitcoin 2.0 with a new name or a coin that is supported by the masses, government, developers or etc.

Cryptocurrencies are evolving and everything could be happen anytime. So many of us are wondering what could replace the Bitcoin due to the fact that some cryptos has the potential to grow its value as the years are passing by. Also, they keep making innovations and upgrading the system. So, we never know what would happen in the future but there are a lots of potential crypto that has the chance to be its competitors.
Irreplaceable , that's Bitcoin. Even there's a lot of great coin invented with purposes and outstanding feature , Bitcoin would remain as the one that people wanted. Too much factors support that Bitcoin are irreplaceable , the most important are how to get an attention , Bitcoin ecosystem has been built very well until today.
Never easy to build another one with same level , it's common for crypto enthusiast to call a coin with high marketcap like ripple , eth or Bitcoin cash as the one who considered as a major contender.

I'm in 400,000 euros debt , dont help me , i rather die

Ethereum does have the potential to cross the pioneer but it will still take many years to achieve the task. Not only the coin has gained huge acceptance in a short period of time but is also used as a token for smart applications. The coin currently has a market capital of $49 billion. It has also been accepted by some major companies like Microsoft, Intel, Jp morgan. Also, it is backed up by a very secure cryptography. It is used as a platform for posting new ICOs.
Hence, the coin has many unique features which bitcoin doesn't have but the pioneer due to its much wider acceptance and more greater market capital remains the king of the crypto.

I think the bitcoin will always dominate the pricing of other cryptos. reasonable just because bitcoin is the first and certainly as a reference. but it is not impossible there are other coins that replaced. If there is indeed a very long process certainly also could replace the bitcoin.

Which coin came into your mind when you frame this thread? I don't have any coin in my mind that will ever replace bitcoin in future because no other coin has such potential and developed technology and you can easily exchange it for fiat due to higher liquidity in market.ETH has such potential but still i will say that it will remain one step back of btc.So btc remain king of cryptocurrencies for me forever.

We know ethereum has the power to show the n number of coins to market but still bitcoin will not allow anyone to give the competition for over riding the bitcoin at all.
As of now bitcoin holds the 45 percentage of the volume in the market so far.
But in we may find it reduced or increased in the market. All the cryptocurrencies are volatile in nature this may make anything in the market after some years.

Nothing is going to replace bitcoin. Many people believed bitcoin cash to beat bitcoin because of its slow chain but they were proven wrong! Ethereum has no chance to beat bitcoin too. Litecoin is just clone anyways.

I have come to realise in recent time that Bitcoin cannot in any way be replaced by any altcoins in the years to come as it has gain ground and as number ONE crypto currency in the world. Why should one thought of such a thing to happen in the nearest future because i personally don't see any reason behind such thought as Bitcoin has use for which you need crypto currency for except ethereum that one will need for convertion of Token.

I don't see any reasons for it. The coin that could replace BTC should be convenient as a payment method first of all, but ETH is a platform for smart contracts, so we cannot compare them. For example, it could be replaced by Litecoin, as their main purposes are same.

Ethereum had good potential in the crypto currency.I think future bitcoin will be successful replaced by the ETH .Rome was not build in one day.So Ethereum replace the
Bitcoin, but the limitation is we don't know when it will achieved .Next to ETH ,some of trusted coins are available in the market. They are Ethereum Classic, litecoin and bitcoin cash.

I don't think any other crypto coin can replace bitcoin. Though we do have many coins competing each other to take next place of bitcoin, its hard to reach bitcoin's marketcap. BCH and Maker are behind bitcoin with good growth trend. ETH is on fourth place and its said to grow threefold in its values this year. Maker has silently came over ETH and competing with ECH now.

If bitcoin would be an afterthought it might be worth the ethereum to replace the bitcoin position as the king of cryptocurrency. We still do not know with the future, but holding altcoins that have great potential is highly recommended.
