something wrong with Waves?
Markets it strong rising but Waves is sleeping.............
bitcoin price is 4000 plus dollars and waves is 2 plus dollars, the rise in btc will also cause a rise in the waves price in usd, i think after the AMA, waves will start to rise, but for let push btc.

I think Waves is growing more faster than BTC let check the last 3 month charts than it seems this is nice investment but in future we will see where it will stand. At the moment it have good hype and can get more value.

Well if we talk about prices, waves is now being under accumulation, the price isn't moving that much (versus btc, in usd yes since btc is growing)

What is this LuckyCoins 777 ? You can't send it, can't sell it unless in units of 1000, and I see only the address issuing it has sold any (correct me if I'm wrong)
The coin ID is ELzPGDcDofrJPkp1WurDhDfo7X8HPinyw6Ls9FYGvWKX
Greetings. This is a Smart Asset. You can identify them by checking whether they have <> in their logo. The issuer set some requirements in regard to trading and transfer operations by using his asset.
You can read asset's description to check more details concerning this asset or check its script here https://nodes.wavesnodes.com/api-docs/index.html with assets/details/{assetId}?full=true
Most probably, this is a scam attempt to ask you to buy more in exchange for provided opportunity to place an ask order.

Sincerely,
Waves Community Manager

so this is the beginning of an explanation (though complex) , thank you.
however from now i will take a distance from ALL smart contracts.

Stay away from this scam token and all token look like it (surge , sheer , Jewel , goldmine etc) all these tokens most probably are made by one lowlife scammer behind them.... Even if you buy more (which scammer want you to do) you cant sell them because of script , also i saw many members on waves telegram bought more than 1000 Luckycoin and they cant sell it....

Good day dolores, you are still alive?  Grin

I never heard of you in bitcointalk for a long time, I use to read your post everytime there is a suspicious scam attempt. Yep scamming never ends here. Poor guy have send his 1000 WAVES to a scammer. WAVES team should really be monitoring this like EOS are doing that if they didn't endorse a coin, then its a possibility of scam.

That kind of incident happened lack of knowledge and our greedy nature when we take action without making any research and letting know who is behind the scene. The people must have to understand how this ecosystem than we can reduce the risk factor to being get scammed otherwise we will hear this kind of sad stories.

The scam only works because people don't think if they can have a few bucks for free. Then they invest blindly. It will take a while for the last one to realize the intention behind such assets. They have to learn it, even if it gets expensive for them.

Nonetheless, it is slowly getting out of hand and Waves should consider making such assets as possible scams or, on the first trade of new assets, display a message box indicating that there is a possibility of a scam including information about knowing scam patterns. At least, this could increase the awareness.

Agree with both about the responsibility of the people involved ( greediness and/or lack of knowledge) but if the goal is the massadoption of waves, or of cryptos generally speaking, the efforts of learning how to read a smart contract is an important obstacle to it.
So tagging an asset would be a good solution in my opinion for lazy/non tech savvy people even if in contrast with the decentralized nature of this thechnology.

nobody wants SUCH smart contracts,

smarts contracts are not bad per se, but constitute important innovations;

however it is necessary to avoid or eliminate unfair ones, like such wolf traps.

New Ride smart contract language is going to be on $waves testnet in mid-March.
When launched on mainnet it will make everything you know about smart contracts obsolete.

Scammers gonna scam since there are ppl who fall in obvious scam tokens such as Jewel.... but i think awareness is spreading among crypto users and newbies are getting smarter and they start asking experienced members before invest or buy any token (many threads opened every day by newbies asking info and guidance about different projects and tokens) which make scammers job very hard and nowadays scammers can't scam huge amounts of btc like in 2014/2015/2016/2017.
