I, too support this unique coin and will do whatever I can to help. I am a veteran Windows/.Net/MSSQL developer but I'm pretty rusty (like, 10 years ago rusty) on Linux/C++. I do however own a web hosting company with several servers, 40+Mbps of very reliable bandwidth, backup generators, the works. Don't forget to vote for DTC on Cryptsy! https://cryptsy.freshdesk.com/support/discussions/topics/41704

Well, I'm not miner, I'm investor that put some BTC into this coin. I do not plan to dump, I sure this coin has a great idea and future. It's ideal complement to namecoin, but looks like we have really small community.
I am both but with limited money. My theory about price being so low and no movement is that BTER is not really the best exchange, people afraid of it so noone cares. The bet is what happens once we reach cryptsy. Hopefully the coin will rise and will never again drop so down. The faster we reach cryptsy the faster this coin is getting more solid. Thats my bet with my limited money. And i am glad my money support a real coin with innovative ideas. P.S. Putting Stalin's face on the blockchain worths the money i have invested I completely agree with you. I just lost a few thousand DTCs on BTER. I have contacted support a few times and not a single reply, dead silence. I have now lost all confidence in DTC trading on BTER. Up until a couple of days ago, I had no issues with them, please use BTER at your own risk. Somebody has my coins and they are dumping it fast and driving down the market. I just wish that they would disable trading until they have the issue resolved, but it seems like that is asking too much from them. Datacoin is a great coin and I wish that BTER does not destroy it. Also I stopped mining Datacoin a couple of days ago until I can safely trade again. If you want immediate profit, then your best option will be to allocate your resources and mine Primecoin. BTC-E is a solid exchange for Primcoin, I have had zero issues with them. Unfortunately, I think that Datacoin's trading volume is too low for them. I will help with the giveaways if we can get this coin on a good exchange. I still have about 1,200 immature coins that I will be willing to contribute to the giveaways.

Supercomputing don't worry about your coins. I had issue with NMC deposit on bter in the past, they solved it after 5 days(support is very busy/unresponsive). Most likely coins are not stolen. Try contact them with QQ(like icq) 930605188 I have more faith in bter stability then in cryptsy, had much more issues with cryptsy than bter

Thank you and I will try contacting them with QQ. I did some research and I now understand the issues BTER is having. Due to some programming error on their part, some accounts were over credited while other accounts were under credited. This seems to have been going on now for about a week and it affected more than just DTC. Of course, those who got the extra coins tried to dump them for whatever they can get for them. But BTER is not going to let them make any withdrawals until they reconcile the differences. So the good news is that I will get back my DTCs but I do not know when and how much they will be worth then.

Cryptrol, do you know in which source files to find the Protoshares personal chains?
I forked/copied the datacoin source on github. Perhaps, if you are interested, you could do the same. We need a sandbox in which to play with the source. If we implement something interesting we could send a pull request to the dev, and maybe help the project a little.
For now I am just reading the code, trying to see where it differs from the bitcoin client.

I think you can get advanced info from their forum. Don't know about this 20DTC reward, how did you notice it?

I have noticed stuff like this also where the coinbase transactions plus the transaction fees do not add up correctly while using this chain browser: http://www.chainbrowser.com/datacoin/I haven't had the time to look at what is going on, but either the Datacoin implementation is broke, or the chain browser implementation is broke. They both cannot be right and give two different results on the same block. The transaction fees plus the coinbase transaction should equal the block reward, at least that's how it works with Bitcoin.

Chain browser have some simple problems recently, like http://www.chainbrowser.com/datacoin/address/DD38QeAXrD2QqkjJ1mqMrpTrmiRTQhhC27/. Or maybe its not a bug, but feature Anyway, little confusion 101 here. For what kind of disscusion is this topic? For what kind of disscusion is that topic?

Difficulty:9.81400681 Coinbase Transaction :10.37 DTC Transaction Fees:3.42846212 DTC Block Reward:11.12 DTC <- Does not add up Now I'm trying to understand if there are issues in parsing transaction listed here: http://www.chainbrowser.com/datacoin/tx/6a24eec6c55499d1487ca0d5705ed0b7a971b9bda73a2850f5d542460de40716/seems that real fee was not 3.42 DTC (for 9 DTC transaction), there is no data attached
