Hey Sampey, regarding my suggestion for an estimated portfolio value, I might be slow on the uptake here, but Cryptsy already does this and displays it on the bottom of the balances page. Maybe you could talk to Vern about adding it to the API since they already do the calculation. Might make it easier on you. 
Good news is, I've had a gain of 0.05 even after not updating my algorithms for two days

Hey Sampey,

Since allot of users are asking for a review etc im going to do a thread on CAT.

It will basically be a report of me running CAT over a week and displaying all Data, gains, XBT balances etc.

I keep getting a 0.11000 Pong order which I mentioned before, either in a PM or in a post on here earlier. For some reason when CAT waits too long when there is less % gain than set, CAT eventually puts in an order for 0.110000 and carries on from there, pinging and ponging the 0.110000 instead of the original amount set.

Hum.....seems strange.
When this happens, copy/paste the general log, and i will try to find the reason  

With new version of CAT i need all your help to improve next version, there will be only the JAR Version, because i need that users let the DOS windows of bat launch open, end tell me if they see some Error Exception.

Can we get a column for total gain after fees.

I noticed it only shows total cumulative gains before fees are applied.

Also, has the unprofitable trades been fixed? (Fees greater than total gain on the trade?)

This is the Analyzer Guide 

Analyzer

Market Analyzer is a tool created for compare market currencies values taken at different times.
And also to give you an hand to choose "massive" buy/sell and sell/buy when currencies values are at your advantage.



- First things to do is Load Current Market Values (you can choose all values, or only BTC,LTC,XPM)
- If you are going to sell/buy, set in the table : Action + Price + Quantity
- Save the Snapshot (xml format)

When you want to make a compare you must load 2 Market Snapshot, and then decide (select the snapshots from the combobox in the botton of Analyzer Panel) which market is the market FROM and which is the market TO. Then press COMPARE Button



Each value from the Snapshot FROM will be compare against the same value in Snapshot TO.
If Value is higher you will see in GREEN Color
If Value is lower you will see in RED Color
If you have set a BUY/SELL operation in the Snapshot FROM, you will also see a estimated value of how much can you gain/lose if you sell/buy now your previous buy/sell orders.

I will never see a column "GAIN" that is GAIN+FEE. As i said, all GAIN Columns are without FEE.
So if you get a trade of 0.005 GAIN, and 0.004 FEE it means that total was 0.009 (and you don't see this values because i split Real Gain and Fee....so 0.005 and 0.004)

Hi all. I'm back with some pretty sexy results  .

I've been using CAT for 11 days and have already made back around a third of the cost! I've noticed not many users are posting helpful hints about what settings to use, which is a bit of unnecessary secrecy considering they'd have to be on your exact buy/sell thread to actually be competing with you (I think).

Anyway, Here's some tips for fellow CAT users from my more successful days. As a note, I trade exclusively on XXX/BTC markets. Most of this is probably elementary/common sense so I hope you veterans will forgive me.

• Trade in as many markets as you possibly can
• Trade in as large of volumes as you can (I trade around 15-20% at a time)
• Choose which markets you trade in by looking at the "Buy Trade 24H" tab in the Markets Lookup
• Reset your algorithms at least every day or two
• XPM/BTC has seen the most stable high volume of any market I've observed, it is responsible for ~17% of my total gain. Trade in XPM/BTC!
• Unless you're 100% sure about what you're doing, use Aggressive mode (mine is set to 1.25%). I've never had a market with 0 gain and restricting when it can create orders seems counter-productive to me, most likely because of my ignorance.

Just to reiterate: I have no idea what I'm doing, but it seems to be working pretty well, even though I'm sure it's suboptimal. In the 11 days straight I've used CAT on aggressive mode, I haven't seen any of the negative gain glitch some users are reporting (knock on wood).

Quick question for Sampey: Is CAT fully portable? As long as I have my keys (or xml file) I should be able to use CAT on any machine, right? I'm going on vacation and want to monitor my gains

Yes fully portable  but you must have java virtual machine installed.
