I am hoping I am on the bad side of variance and not doing something badly.
Went up from 1.87btc estimated balance to 2.06 but now down to 1.85 in the course of 1 week.

this is due to price volatility... collect your price increase gain, if it is higher than cumulative gain

Sorry for my ignorance but what do you mean by price increase gain and where can I find it?

cumulative gain is really the only thing that counts. C.A.T increases your BTC. The markets always go up and down

price increase gain is estimated portfolio value - initial portfolio value - total cumulative gain

CAT increases your BTC for ping buy/pong sell (sell for more) and increases your altcoin on ping sell/pong buy (buy more), let somebody correct me with an example from gain log if it's not true (I saw several times higher "end quantity" for sell-buy pairs).

Ah, ofcourse. Seems logical, thanks.

I can't wait for Cryptsy to add more servers and add fiat currency. That will also hopefully lead to more volume.

I'm losing my balances on cryptsy (wdc, anc and ltc's).

As I'm a new owner of CAT; i think i'll give up until they fix everything.

I'm a bit scared of doing any error, but if cryptsy make me doubt; that too much pressure for me.  Tongue

What do you think ?

And, as I'm a big noob with trading; I will be gratefull if some CAT users want to give me some advices.  Undecided

I just put all my saved $ into bitcoin.  Grin

I reckon most people do not want to share their parameters/strategy because they do not want other people to eat into their profit.
But I wonder, even with the current state of cryptsy, how badly would profit be compromised when 1/2/10 people use the same parameters?

Yeah I don't need exact pairs but just some thoughts... right now I am getting killed overall.  Is it because of the Cryptsy servers?  Very well might be.  But I would like to know that Smiley

Well, I do get a lot of HTTP errors, every couple of minutes or so. Next to that I get the "Call Aborted! Json" and "Lost order" error a couple times an hour. Hope that will be fixed soon.

What do you exactly mean with "getting killed"?
Is C.A.T losing you BTC, then there is probably an error or you are using very little % gain, so fees are costing you more. (Not sure Sampey already addressed this?)
Is C.A.T making you little BTC; use a decent balance and at least trade in 10 markets.
If you are losing money despite of C.A.T than it is probably devaluation and sadly there is not a lot you can do about that. Simply wait it out until C.A.T finalises the order.

With regards to parameters and settings, I am not sure. I have only been using C.A.T a short while and I am not quite familiar with the best settings.

I guess what I am wondering is do people evaluate all the markets and trade for instance the top 10 markets by activity.  I made serveral mistakes where i got into lower volume markets and at the amount of BTC I was spending I was almost overwhelming things Smiley

Seems to me that selecting markets with high volume trade seems the best option. Does not hurt to look at each market graph specifically as well although I personally have yet to do that.

but in the high volume trade often returns wrong data
Code:
Max Buy < Min Sell
and % Diff is -xx (negative) Huh

I don't need anyone's parameter; I just want to learn from someone how to plan a trading strategy with CAT  Wink

it's a community of crypto-maniacs or what ^^

research, and implement, always put small btc first, after several days, if you get good result, put more bitcoin, gradual,
put more coin only if it get you constant result, if the result is not constant, try another strategy, always start small btc
maintain CAT at least once in day

never put all of your bitcoin into your trading strategy, keep your bitcoin any amount that you feel safe
small reward also means small risk

remember, now cryptsy is slow, I don't know how long it going to stay like that
CAT is enable user to do rapid transaction,
with number of CAT user now and crypsty slow server is just like a very long queue into a small elevator
most people will only lose opportunity to trade, and leave behind with lots of altcoin

well, I guess it just common investment strategy

before cryptsy change (black template), I can get gain beyond my target,
for now, wait and do research
