I'd like to make some suggestions for the program then, mostly about getting feedback on how the algos and markets you have chosen are performing....

• I think most people would like to keep track of daily earnings over a 24hr period, so sum of all ping pong successes. This should be calculated between a user configurable set time each day. I think many users would do their daily housekeeping around the same time each day and then want the 'new' period to start after this. Historical daily earnings in a graph would be great. Graph needs to be interactive, so can hover to see actual values.
• It would be great to see which markets have given the best returns on each previous day, so users can make decisions as to if it is worth staying in that market or not. Maybe this is easiest shown on a stacked area chart with one colour to each market, as this also shows the total (above). The problem with this is what happens when users remove markets and add new ones to their trading ? What you could do is simply make the colour code for each market directly from the market ID via a formula. There is a chance you might end up with too similar colour next to each other, but on the plus side users would be able to post and compare charts, and each market colour would be consistent.

I think both of these are good suggestions, and it would be nice to see users posting their results, gloating over their massive profits  Might be good advertising for CAT too...if you want that....

These are definitely 'nice to have' suggestions with low priority

do you know of a way to do automatic withdrawals in cryptsy through their API?
Their API doesnt list anything about withdrawals.

Say I like QRK, and as I trade it and want to withdraw automatically to my wallet...

These markets are completedly Frozen?
Today i have run a 24H test with new code to avoid API error result. And what i see is that Cryptsy sometimes return bad JSON Formatted Result. I wasn't expected something like this (and i don't know the reason). So i have write a more resistant code in the API Interface, and i hope next release will correct all these problems.

Is it to do with trying to push through an order on the API which is under the minimum order limit for a market ??

I checked in CryptoMinQuantity.xml, and it seems FFC min order is set to 10, where Cryptsy website says 100...

Any chance you could check to see we have up to date minimum order values in the xml file ? Maybe Cryptsy increased min. orders !

[Edit] NET/BTC is also wrong...1 in XML but 10 on Cryptsy

Also, is this file read on the fly, i.e can I change it with CAT running or do I have to restart ? (and enter all my orders again!)

That's bearish market. When we bought position and market go against,  CAT still hold  position in loss and waiting for trade which never come.
Try try to select markets which grow up (bullish markets or sideways markets), there works fine.

Look for bullish markets or sideways markets.

Maybe I'm just losing it.. But say I buy 100 wdc and ping pong that.. then again and again.. C.A.T. seems to buy the 100 wdc, sell it for so much btc, then buy 100+ wdc and then sell only 100..  I'm accumulating dust and then full coins over the course of the day and C.A.T. won't sell it.  This would also apply to mining deposits to my cryptsy account.  I want to sell it all (or buy and hold).  Can there be an option added to sell the chosen coin  to zero coins each ping pong?

I think the problem is that C.A.T. is only trading part of your 'pot' to fill an order that meets your gain selection.

- Don't create ping with total < Than. After a successfull Ping-Pong the total amount of this order will be put in the "Cauldron" and from the "Cauldron" will be created new sell/buy orders. With this option activated you will limit the creation on "little orders". If total in Cauldron will be < than this parameter, C.A.T. will wait for more money in cauldron.


e.g. if we were using DOGE/LTC, would the total be referring to total Doge quantity, or total LTC quantity?

Total = Quantity * Price = Value in BTC/LTC/XPM

I think i will do it, but i must choose what to do with multiple markets (i think i will use a message for users to choose wich markets open)

hello. I've been following this topic for a while and i am rather interested. The thing is, i hardly see any results here. I imagine those guys want to keep the results for themselves but i'm quite curious on how much money there is to be made. I am active on a lot of coins/markets on cryptsy manually, and i do daytrading from time to time. I know what are default values, and what are usually good prices to buy certain coins. Again, i do everything manually.

So, I'm assuming i have the knowledge to set up the bot to my needs. I am however wondering, what the average profit is to be made when i set it up correctly. Let's say I have 2 BTC in my cryptsy account. How much can I make if i setup some markets, let's say for 5 coins. I don't need a correct answer but something similar from users would be nice. Is it possible to get 0.1 btc per day portfolio value (considering markets are rather stable and no extreme pump and dumps are going on) or would it be more in the order of 0.01.

Just some general questions. Feedback is appreciated.

This is the problems : too much factor.
You must find your way.............i think that people does over 0.2 Day, doesn't come here to tell parameters 
I have never seen people who have set %Gain > 10, but if you choose markets that have +/- 20% difference each day, is better to have 1% Gain or 15% Gain?
It's better to make 10 Ping-Pong of 15% GAIN of 1000 Ping-Pong of 1% GAIN? Very hard to tell.....

yea i understand. Like i said, I am not asking for parameters, just asking on what is realistic to make with 2 btc. Thanks for your answers. Maybe another idea is to offer trial keys? 0.8 btc is a lot for me for something I am not so sure of yet. I'd rather try a license for a week or so, for a smaller sum. Too bad this is not possible

If you buy a key, you can use C.A.T. on every PC you want, but it works only on your Cryptsy Account.
And if you sell you C.A.T. copy you must sell your account.

Sampey, can you make the currency values in 3 - Calculator in Ping-Pong Creator clickable so that they load into the quantity field in '4- Generate Ping-Pong'?  If not, at least make them copy-able?

But there's the combobox in quantity when you press the "Sell Function". In the combobox you will find Full Quantity, Half Quantity, 1/3 Quantity...........
