in my opinion, we have to keep privatekey wallet, don't give it to anyone. and be careful with phishing websites that can steal our assets in the wallet.

Most people who are very involved in cryptos prefer to use a hardware wallet, you can use a Z ledge which is an encrypted pendrive that works to store your different wallets and so far has worked excellent, you also have to be careful with phishing scams that are the most common forms of theft in this space.

Watching where you keep them? On the exchange? Or on myetherwallet? If on myetherwallet it means that you need to transfer all the altcoins to the exchange, since myetherwallet is the easiest to hack. And on the exchange you need to configure access by phone and two-factor authentication

What is the best methods to protect altcoin from hacker?

Dude i am using trezor wallet. So i am really feel great about my safety. I know no one can not steal my money or my tokens from my hardware wallet.
Beucase of that i am suggesting all the crypto investors to these hardware wallets ledger or trezor . They have the best security and you can send your tokens to hardware wallets and after that
you can sleep without nightmares.

Of course protect your private key to your ETH based wallet, but try to look at ledger nano - it's the safest option in my opinion, it's something like your real wallet and it's almost impossible to be robbed.

The key is know what are you clicking on the Internet if you ask me. Don't click suspicious links. Don't use the same password for everything. Don't hold your private keys or password on pc use flash drives or do it old school use paper and pencil  Smiley or do both

I am sure that now there is little salvation from hackers. But you can try using hardware wallets and creating a good key, and beware of suspicious links. Cool

It is necessary to adhere to banal precautions. Also, do not once again go to the wallet. I also advise you to write down all the passwords and secret keys in your notebook. You can also upgrade to a hardware wallet to reduce the risk of losing funds.

Using several wallets and separate your funds is a good way to protect your coins from hackers. Also don't keep your funds on exchanges because they might be hacked or closed.

One way is to use hardware devices to secure the coins and a number of wallets for each fund. And don't go about unlocking your wallet every now and then only when it is necessary and confirm you are on the right address.

For now I choose to use a nano-s wallet that is safe to be able to protect my digital assets from hackers. because now more and more hackers are doing their actions to steal the assets of many people who are off guard
Thank you for the tip, I will try nano-s wallet. I don't think that anything is safe 100%. I agree that we need to keep our guard up and try to save our assets from hackers as much as possible.

Firstly protect your PC and control all the files and programs on it because that's the biggest threat, crypto wallet is nearly unhackable.

What is the best methods to protect altcoin from hacker?
Keep on the safest wallet like have 2factor authentication or wallet have a sms verification because before to withdraw or to transfer the wallet they have confirmation from us. That was a safest wallet ever, Many of hacker targeted a not secured wallet like MEW. (Myetherwallet.com) Because that was only using a private key. But its up to the owner if the owner are careless so they can gave his/her private to the scammer.
Thank you for this advice. SMS verification works great unless it's overridden by hackers which I hope won't happen. I don't think anyone can give scammers the key voluntarily. That's just plain stupid.

This are my way of protecting my coins/tokens because recently my wallet been hack and some of my holdings gone. First create two wallets one for your holding or banking then second wallet for transactions or some aidrops. And try to download meta mask this app can help you to prevent phising site. And lastly keep your password/private key on your own way try to hide it.
I am very sorry your wallet has been hacker. Terrible experience. I think having several wallets is a better idea. I will also try to download meta mask. I keep my password private but I do not feel secure.

What is the best methods to protect altcoin from hacker?
The best way to protect your Altcoins is to save them in an external device or hard disk such as ledger📒 but if you don't have the fund to get external device you can save your coins in your Eth or Btc wallet and keep the private keys safe I believe if you did not disclosed your private keys yours crypto coins will be fully safe and secured.

The method I applied to protect coins from hackers was to divide the place into several altcoin baskets for me to put money. Choosing a classic altcoin is not always a wrong decision, as long as it can continue to develop its value, like the ETH, I think my money will be kept safe and will get development after the crypto market value increases.
