we as a person who owns altcoin and holds altcoin in the wallet should always keep the passkey unknown to others and not trapped, I think that's one way to secure our account

To protect your altcoins, you must protect your coins storage of course.
By using a secure wallet, you can avoid yourself from hackers. Many hackers try to get your password and keys.
just be careful when exposing your key, some site may phishing you.

What is the best methods to protect altcoin from hacker?
Depositing an offline wallet instead of a hot wallet or an exchange, as long as the private key does not appear in the network environment is safe, and the only way for a hacker to attack is to crack it, which is a very difficult one.

Just invest some money and buy a hardware wallet, you will not regret.  For me, my opinion in that make sure that your altcoin you recieve or earned has a wallet and safe storage, and dont let any advertisements let into you. While reading the title I thought that this was about hedging but I was surprised that it was about hackers.

It seems that, nevertheless, the Ledger remains the safest method of storing crypts at the moment. And also the Linux system in combination with disconnecting the Internet and creating a purse for these same coins in such conditions.

If it is against hackers, then it is necessary to do more preventive measures, on the exchange to complete a variety of certification, so even if you forget the password can also be recovered through the identity, and then often do asset photography, retaining evidence.

Care must be taken to secure your private key (s) as everyone is vulnerable to hacking. Do not save your private key(s) in any email account. Do not click on any suspicious mail in your inbox.

the most important thing in maintaining our crypto asset is not based on the security of a wallet or exchange, but more to our own individual, never indiscriminately enter your private key, because very many phishing websites today, and also do not click the link you get via email or other unidentified personal messages.

Stop clicking suspicious links and pop ups, check if the website is secure and always check anything you're going to download.
Yes it is not necessary to do or to visit sites regarding to you altcoin or cryptocurrency. You must need to read and update yourself on the project itself on wallet or exchanges for you to avoid fishing site and getting scam by other people.

Security is the most important thing when working with crypto.  Do not store keys in accessible places, that is on a computer.  Better on a flash drive and on paper to write down, and there are still cold wallets.

To make sure all your coins, tokens are safe and secure in your wallet you have to have some by using methamask it's like software that would protect your wallet and can detect even stranger or any foreign thing who wants to steal your coins this way you're safe.

What is the best methods to protect altcoin from hacker?
take care of your private key, passwords and dont click any suspicious link that has been sent to you through pm, shared on any social media sites, etc. the only reason why hackers have the access on your account is because they successfully get your key.
I keep my coins by holding them. because the level of security I get for Altcoin that I have is quite high when I hold it. so to produce such a thing I use my coins to be held in the long run to generate profit and security on my coins. so this will be good for the future.

Keep safe with care, use different security apps like metamask and google authenticator for your google account. Dont go in any site, clicking an unidentify link must be avoided. Be sure for the real url link. Dont input your personal keys such as private key in any exchange. Better to use a nee wallet for trading. Your main account private key keep with you. I guess this few tips make our altxoins safe from hackers. I have been 5 months when start and untill now i never exoeriemce being hack

The only safe way to store you alts is to store them in a hardware wallet such as Ledger or Trezor. When you generate a seed using a hardware wallet it is not shared with the computer system.

I use some of these common rules, I always check the link to the site so that it was not fair, I always go to my wallet only with a secure login, and try not to post my wallet anywhere!

You don't need to protect your altcoins from hackers - you need to protect your whole data from hackers. They got access to your accounts only if you have failed providing protection to yor operating system. That is if you don't just give them your privat key Wink
