We all know how risky bitcoin is. Let's imagine the most riskiest money deposit situation.
What do you think guys, will this moment ever come and banks decide to offer us Bitcoin deposits (e.g. fixed profit on 1 year deposit and etc).
This can be very, very profitable for banks if they make correct decisions.
P.S I don't mean freebitco.in's offer of holds on their wallet. I mean if official banks ever offer us this service.
It become very profitable for banks if they make good decision but how if not? Bank is not handled by one man power and ot has management and sometime below government so all the decision has to be made by many people in magament. With that reason i think it would be very hard for bank to make it true.

I think if the bank uses bitcoin as an alternative deposit in the bank it will make the customers confused and will arise various conflicts, I think banks will use blockchain technology but not to use bitcoiin.

In my opinion the bank may start offering people to deposit their bitcoins with legal accounts inorder to survive,
the whole concept of bitcoins is to provide financial freedom and not allow any third party to interfere between the person and his/her earnings, so privacy would be a whole lot different , they won't be able to sneak peak into anyone's account like they used to do .

That is surely going to happen. People can't always bring their ledger or trezor with them all the time because they can be lost or misplaced so the banks are going to be the alternative way of accessing our bitcoin when we are travelling.

I think it can be done under centralized cryptocurrency but Bitcoin is a decentralized cryptocurrency, so this is very unrealistic thought, and there's no need to deposit your BTC or any Altcoin in the bank as well as it is in your wallet is already secured , then hold and wait for the right time to dump. I'm pretty sure it is profitable .

There is a small chance of a banks to offer a bitcoin deposit because bitcoin is a very complex thig and it is decentralised so they wil not get a tax with the bitcoin, and also banks are usually lead by some of the government of a country. So it can be a good idea but it will takes time to manage it completely.

BTC deposits may occur at any bank if the owners of each bank or btc only talk. but at the moment many wallets are out there that we can just get BTC so it's good to get into your mind thank you

I have never heard and seen in my country in Indonesia. government / central bank managers offer bitcoin or other crypto deposits to the people of Indonesia. probably because the government still considers illegal bitcon for now .it is possible for the coming year Indonesia will accept and join bitcoin officially.

Currently, I have not seen any banks offering bitcoin deposits. But with the speed of development of bitcoin today in the cryptocurrency market. I think the future banks will provide bitcoin deposits. Many people use bitcoin as a business or investment tool in the market and they make a lot of money. That is the reason they have many free bitscoin and they will deposit bitcoin into the bank for storage.

I think if bitcoin is acceptable to many people and accepted by many countries. Then surely many banks will try to offer to deposit bitcoin, because basically bitcoin investment is almost the same as stocks or mutual funds.
Banks will definitely do something like make a bitcoin deposit as long as they think it's profitable.

It may become a reality in the near future but at the current moment, I will say it's a big no due to the hostility that most banks have shown towards bitcoins in the coming years.

Banks Will not offer Bitcoin deposits if ever because of being volatile. The fuctuation of the price Will cause  big loss for the banks if ever and  it contributes  big benefits for the deposiitors.
They will offer such services if they find a way to make it profitable and when you look at the history of money is not really difficult to think that they will find a way, it is entirely possible that they allow you to you to deposit your bitcoin and then they give you a receipt and then people out of convenience begin to use those receipts instead of bitcoin, that is how we switched from gold to paper money.

I would like to see this. I also think it won't be long before high street banks allow crypto trading in the same way they offer trade on stocks and shares. If the banks simply change a small percentage on each transaction, they make money regardless of whether the coin price goes up or down.

But like property, if governments don't de-rail crypto, I can see BTC or ETH, for example, being good medium to long term investments.

it may also happen, but to make the decision, the bank should have calculations and policies about the bitcoin as well, so it may take a long time it will happen.

recently the Japanese company Coincheck announced the first interest-bearing accounts in Japan in bitcoins. Despite the fact that in general the project looks quite attractive and can promote the distribution of bitcoin among the population, there are certain problems associated with the mechanisms for making profit from such deposits.
