I think we will only see more manipulation if this happens , if the banks will profit of bitcoin going up are down then they are gonna make sure that is what happens.Like someone said above , this defeats one of the reasons why bitcoin was invented in the first place.but maybe this is will happen if someday bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies is accepted in all country ang governtment.

I don't think they will offer bitcoin deposits because the banks are centralized and they want to get control of what they are using and since the bitcoin is not stable then it is not a good option for them because they might loss some profit or money if they will accept or offer cryptocurrency deposits so i think, they will never offer bitcoin deposits.
It seems to me that they will, but only when the bitcoin's volatility becomes very small.

I do not think that this will happen in the next 5 years.

Banks are not technologically ready for this yet, moreover, the question of anonymity is important here.

I do not know, but it looks like it will not happen any time soon. Currently bitcoins and banks are the opposite parties. So I do not think that's possible.

I think Banks may have a plan on how they can survive if people would choose to invest on bitcoins rather than their own bank.
As a solution for them, banks have to do an application or develop a work and create a digital wallet for them to get even those who invest in Bitcoin.
If Bitcoin will become an Alternative Currency in the near future, especially businesses should adopt it wisely. Particularly the Bank, as a banker or a businessman, you must be in a trend and be able to follow trends.

In my country, I think there are two banks who are already riding on with the Bitcoin trend. One of them have decided to implement blockchain payments later on which includes Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, Bitcoin Cash and so on. We can say that Bitcoin is a threat to government and banks, but others have a different perspective. It's either you stick with the old system or you should ride on with the trend. Either way, the blockchain age is coming and BTC might replace cash in 10 years or more.

Depositing your bitcoin to banks could not be the best idea at all.  How many percentage of interest will you get if ever? 1, 2 or 3% per year?  Where as in investing and trading, your could get the percentage you wanted in a matter of hours or days compare to the year any banks could offer.

It can happen when the bank will start to operate in bitcoin just like fiat currency like deposit , bitcoin wallet in bank, then only they can start deposit as when they get deposit then they have to give interest on that and to give interest they have to earn from the deposit so they will also start lending or giving bitcoin loan on which they will get interest. Just like what they are doing in fiat currency banking system. Then only the bank can offer bitcoin deposit until then it will be fully risky by both side.

Banks that are fighting bitcoin will find it difficult to adopt bitcoin for both deposit and other banking services. Unless the adoption of bitcoin became overwhelming by other financial institution then banks will have no other excuse but to offer full scale banking services using blockchain technology.

It is a dream of sky sky. If everyone is allowed to deposit the bank then everyone will be benefited. I believe this will be beneficial to the government and the bank. This will be easy for investors who work for them.

This could happen in the future as banks functioning completely with bitcoin has come into existence. As growth gets priority automatically banks try to stick to the growth as people were in need of the same. Based on the support the country gets from the government can expect banks accepting bitcoin deposit. Formally this can be expected earlier on the grown countries.

I think every possibility must exist. But, we can not make sure when and how the banks will offering the bitcoin deposits. And if that become reality, banks that offering bitcoin deposits it would be so beneficial.

They can come with such schemes but do not expect more than 20-30 5 guaranteed returns. They will take most of the profits themselves.

There is zero possibility that the banks will ever let the bitcoin deposits nor offer bitcoin deposits. First, the banks and government  didn’t like the idea of bitcoin. Means they dont like the bitcoin and how it works because they know they wont have any benefits that they can get from bitcoin. Second that they oppose the decentralized. So i think that they wont accept or even offer any bitcoin deposits

They are already against bitcoins and thus they will not allow this. However, this can really boost bitcoins as it will encourage traditional investors.
