Wow,  a great achievement if the bank is willing to accept deposits in the form of bitcoin. But if you look at the fluctuation price of bitcoin, I can not be sure who is more fortunate. If the price rises then the bank will get a big profit but if the price falls then the customer who gets big profits. So far, I have never heard of a bank offering a bitcoin deposit facility. Hmmm, I also recommend if any bank that receives bitcoin then it can also receive deposits in the form of other crypto currency, such as ethereum and ripple. This will be very profitable too.

At the moment, that's impossible, because there's competition between Banks and bitcoin.
So bitcoin has the potential to bring down the traditional banking industry, so why should Banks accept it? Grin

I am very positive that the banks are now studying and making ways for them to be able to still be adaptable with the demands of the market, with Bitcoin around. I am sure that they would want to be part of its success at the same time, be able to make profits and business out of this hype on Bitcoin and crypto currencies.

Banks are main competitors for bitcoin at the moment. And because many banks are governmental, many governments are removing bank competitors by banning them. Maybe after a long time, when governments will realize that they can make money on bitcoin if they will embrace it instead of eradication, it will be possible to do make bitcoin deposits in banks.

I think it will never happen. Banks are identical to the government. And the government has never allowed the bitcoin to circulate. While bank interest has been low as well.
So it is inversely proportional to bitcoin.

I believe it can happen, because most banks are interested in earning Hugh from peoples sweat and money. Some countries will soon pass it into bill, because the banks and government wants to be in charge and control of the people money.

We all know how risky bitcoin is. Let's imagine the most riskiest money deposit situation.
What do you think guys, will this moment ever come and banks decide to offer us Bitcoin deposits (e.g. fixed profit on 1 year deposit and etc).
This can be very, very profitable for banks if they make correct decisions.
P.S I don't mean freebitco.in's offer of holds on their wallet. I mean if official banks ever offer us this service.

Depositing your money on the bank aren't giving you chances to get a big profit and sometimes you loss some of it due to the annual deposit fee on their banks. It isn't bad to save money on the bank but investing and waiting for it to grow on the bank wont make you rich. I know someone who does deposit a large amount of money on bank after a few years their money don't grow only 1% is their profit.

I want to ask what bank you are speaking, and in which country. Because I almost never see it in my country.

It will take quite sometime for Bank to accept or offer bitcoin deposits, Bitcoin in itself is a competition to the banks, therefore they might not be willing t0 take part in their competitor's activities. I also don't think Bitcoin needs the banking system, the fact that its free of any institutional control or regulation mean that even the banks shouldn't have control over BTC, if they accept BTC deposits then that means that Bitcoin will be taxed, something that might not be as attractive to the Bitcoin Users.

I think it will be very problematic for the banks if they will accept Bitcoin. Banks rely on constant flow of money and putting Bitcoin in their system or any cryptocurrency would ruin their flow. Banks are connected to the government that's why they only accept fiat money. Its just banks are just currently made for physical currency. Maybe in the future we can have banks for cryptocurrency which we can use and benefit from.

I can see it happening because there is an example of countries that officially legalized the bitcoin so I do not see why banks would not start offering deposit for the bitcoin owners in the future.

I think this is very unlikely. Because most governments always forbid bitcoin, kgoong for bitcoin circulation, and vice versa the government has always created the conditions to protect the bank.

I do not think. The bank is always looking for benefits. Everything depends on the demand and value of bitcoin.

I think the banks are at a disadvantage. If we bear in mind constant growth of this asset - it does not make any sense.

ruly, banks offer advances taken against Fixed Deposits. The Fixed Deposit in such advance is the Collateral. In this manner, it is a secured credit. If banks actually are smart enough as you said they can earn from it and get some profit but it really depends on the business.

It would be great but I would not let another take care of my bitcoin for me, I do not trust the banks but if that happened bitcoin prices would get very high

If bitcoin continues to improve and potentially skyrockets next year then it is certain that banks are not able to stop users so receiving bitcoin deposits is something to be done.

It will be very difficult for the banks if they will accept Bitcoin because banks normally
rely on constant flow of money and putting Bitcoin in their system or any cryptocurrency
will hamper that flow. There is a chance maybe in the future we can have banks for cryptocurrency
which we can use and benefit from that

I doubt that the big banks will offer bitcoin deposits, but the small ones, I think , sometimes it is possible someday and will start. Wink
Yeah maybe someday, we do not know it's possible the government started to legalized cryptocurrency in the next few years and when the legalization has been obtained then the bank may offer a good deal for cooperation with bitcoin or other crypto, in the form of deposit or withdrawal using crypto, it might just happen
