Hi, everybody.
Could you please explain about the issue pointed at cryptolife.net.

The issue is the collision of addresses.
What if two or more private keys give me two or more addresses, like this:

sha256(curve29519(sha256(PASSPHRASE1)))    -    address1:1461501637330902918211111832716283019655932542976
sha256(curve29519(sha256(PASSPHRASE2)))    -    address1:1461501637330902918222222832716283019655932542976
sha256(curve29519(sha256(PASSPHRASE3)))    -    address1:1461501637330902918333333832716283019655932542976

visible address both times will be 14615016373309029182.

is it possible or client will raise an exception? if not, who will receive payment if I send to 14615016373309029182?

The issue is the collision of addresses.

Provided that the "account holder" has made 1 transaction (either by sending NXT, creating an alias or forging a block) their account will have a 256 bit "public key" associated with it.

Someone trying to create a new account that has an account id already in use would receive an error (due to the public key being different).

The only problem that arises is if people don't do a tx at all - in that case whoever does the first tx will *own* the funds (so yes you should always do a tx before asking others to send NXT to your account).

With CIYAM anyone can create 100% generated C++ web applications in literally minutes.

I think videos so far have been good, but we should maybe think more of Average Joe in this respect:

=> What efforts do I have from NXT - and HOW does it work (practically)?

I'm thinking of something like "Today I've heard about Cryptocurrencies...what is it?...Oh, nice, 1000 TPS, that's fast... coloured coins - what's that? Oh wow, using coloured coins I could ... (add any advantages of nxt)" => concrete examples showing the advantages of NXT.

So the focus should be more on users that do not know much about the topic as such (yet) imho.

Gold.  Gold.  Gold.
We must establish a precedent that any NXT coin representation will always be seen in a gold color and never in a silver color.

- Asset defined voting cards haven't been mentioned. (These can have a minimum fee to greatly reduce spam)
- Decentralised identification verification hasn't been mentioned. (Not necessarily for the entire network. Just particular groups/communities).
- Pre-voting hasn;'t been mentioned.

Can you elaborate on these 3?

Really? Why not do something more original - perhaps something darker/blacker might stand out from all the shiny silver and gold coin graphics we see around.

Part of getting our company together aligns with the goals of Nxt. In other words, we look forward to spending a lot more time helping bridge connections with this community.

A portion of the 10M NXT needs to go towards this effort.

That is what 3mil is for, more than enough.

This might sound like a n00b question, but I have no answer.

As we all know NXT price seems to stabilize around 0.00008500 BTC.
Why doesn't the price increase as BTC loses value? This doesn't make sense to me.

It's like a currency exchange rate. When the Euro gains value, the Dollar gets cheaper and vice versa.

How come we stay on these prices then?
Since there is no direct NXT <>fiat conversion (yet) available, this makes it even weirder. Am I right?

Then when NXT seems to lose value you get LESS BTC for your NXT, but when BTC loses value, you do not get MORE NXT...??

What am I missing?

- Iceland is very free and green country that supports Bitcoin and will be supporting Nxt when we beat this bastard. So I don't want to be cruel to our crazy friends Cheesy

Hopefully, they have a sense of humor.

And a green NXT blockchain logo goes well with a gold background.  Gold and green are traditionally linked colors.

We should decide on the official RGB shade of green to use for any and all future NXT blockchain logos.  We should push the green angle with a green logo color as an option (tho our official color is blue), but if we're gonna show it in green occasionally, we need to establish the exact shade of green...

Anyone can help me to solve the account investigation problem on DGEX website about NXT trade?Huh Cry

The story is: On 05.01.2014 05:09:40, I have sent 299,701 NXT from 3298827274938912391 to 6635869272840226493, which shows on blockchain, but no manual confirm and no NXT deposit into my account! Then I contact with admin of DGEX, but no one reply to me two days later, so I cancelled this deposit and then multiple crediting(2 times) of this same deposit. One day after, my account is suspended and locked by DGEX. I just try to get my desposit into my account and do not want to cheat anyone...I post the explain on 06.01.2014 in th link 'https://nextcoin.org/index.php/topic,2700.0.html', a person named Graviton told me that "Like described, You failed to submit the deposit form until 26 hours from deposit. Before that your transaction was credited to another account claiming to have deposited it, who sold the NXT and withdrew the BTC." Even I can accept the reply of this deposit from DGEX, I can not afford to lose my control of my NXT which is already in my DGEX account. 3 weeks passed, my account is still locked, and I check the NXT amount of DGEX NXT address 6635869272840226493, only 727,628 NXT left.... I know not only my account is under investigation from DGEX, I'm really worried about my NXT and I'm afraid DGEX can not afford to pay back all the NXT in the locked account...

HELP~~~~~~~~~~~Anyone can contact with the owner of DGEX?

just a guess but ppl might be selling there nxt for btc and btc for usd... thus both being sold at the same rate... if btc is falling in value your not just guna stop when you get to btc.. you will trade out to usd and make more btc and then be able to buy more nxt..

Actually there is direct NXT <>fiat conversion available, and the fiat is CNY. You can find it in Bter.
As to the price, I don't think BTC is losing value, the BTC price is just fluctuating a little bit, nothing more.
So is the the price of Nxt, 0.00008500 or 0.00009000, no big difference.
Once thing you might notice is that the trade volume in DGEX or Bter is declining sharply, about which I am curious.
