I know you addressed this, but will Alias be assigned by first come right after 22000 is generated (not on Nxt Fee)?  Also, what can we expect as server response when the Alias is registered using system tool?

Higher fee - first served.

U'll get {"transaction": "8347618348346834301"} after sending a transaction. When it's confirmed u'll get valid response from http://localhost:7874/nxt?requestType=getAliasURI&alias=Google

I just tried to register an alias and I got: {"transaction":"9572417790216964671"}

what does it mean?

It means that u sent a transaction and its id was 9572417790216964671.

so this transaction id will only show up in the blockchain explorer after block 22000? and the 1 Nxt fee will be charged

No. It was ignored by the network so u have to reassign the alias after block 22000.

ok thks...tmmr is sure gonna be exciting

Best would be if there is some kind of a page I could link to.

No errors displayed. But after several minutes, I got tx id in sever response's textarea. So why it took so long time?

U connected to a lot of peers. Change pushThreshold and pullThreshold in web.xml to "1".

Oh, OK Sad

Could you maybe write a short explanation, just what it is and what it can be used for? So I have somthing to link people to?
That would be great!

Alias System is like decentralized DNS but, unlike DNS, Alias System can link names to any URI - website, phone number, email, bitcoin address, location, anything. Alias System is included into version 0.4.0 and will be activated at block 22000. Nodes that don't upgrade to 0.4.0 won't be able to validate blocks containing AS-transactions.

To assign an alias someone should open https://localhost:7875/alias.html, fill the fields and hit OK.

Aliases may contain only digits and case-insensitive latin letters. Currently it's impossible to transfer aliases to other accounts, but owner of the account can reassign an alias to any URI at any time. Alias is considered tied to an account after the 1st confirmation of the AS-transaction. NRS picks transactions with higher fees in the 1st place (actually fee/size ratio is used).

The most valuable aliases (like "nxt", "sex" and "batman") r waiting for that lucky guy/gal who will become a billionaire after squatting and reselling them...

Can we change URI afterwards? I have no idea what to put as URI...
