I will repeat my idea again as a solution for AM to make it easier to send AM while saving us from spam & also save blockchain bloating.

I still like your Idea !!!!
message on invitation carries some potential.
Later, if more people got it, we could discuss the aspect:    1440 blocks vs. X blocks...

how would AM by invitation work?

CfB, would you be so kind to add the link to the summary of the thread to your signature?
http://www.nxtcoins.nl/bitcointalk-summary-17-01-2014/
at least temporary. It would help noobs a lot.

In this case I have to revise the summary but I don't have time to do so. Sorry.

When the community had to choose 3 questions to BCNext it managed to do it quite quickly. Now, when a lot of money involved, we all see that the community can't come to a consensus that easily...

Let's continue this psychological experiment!

Interesting.

I suggest to send those Nxt to the genesis account. What we care is Nxt itself whether Nxt idea is valuable and worth to develop and invest in. If yes, the community doesn't lack those Nxt. So many stakeholders have more than 10 M, and if they care Nxt they know how to do it. If yes, we know how to earn Nxt if we don't have Nxt through our development, marketing and any kinds of work. If not, send anyone those Nxt means nothing.

If the community strongly suggest keep those Nxt, I suggest Anon136 be my vote.

Why is it that realism evades so many here?
Yes we all have ideologies and want NXT to succeed based on it's own merits, but without PR nxt is nothing.
The best paintings have never been seen and the best music never been heard and the best codes has never been ran.
PR is the key that unlocks NXT's potential, not the other way around.

We are a semi-small team of people who do 90% of the promotional and activist work surounding NXT and we don't get paid for it, we do it because we believe in NXT, but would it help TREMEDNOUSLY if these 10M got put into our work? Obviously.

And if you truly want NXT to succeed you will see that marketing and promotion is necessary.

I was on an electrical engineering conference in Munich and thus was absent. I will catching up with the thread now (since the milestone, page 1000) and update my site with the newest download link for the client tomorrow!

Soon I will announce my AM project! Smiley

Anon136 is an elder with 100% trust. If he is willing then problem solved. If community destroyed 1% of NXT because nobody can do this task and be trusted, who would stakeholders send their NXT to in the future? NXT needs trusted people to survive.

It's already too hard for many to keep up with NXT details, so community needs leaders and trusted people. There is no other way. This is a crucial test. 1% of NXT can pay for enough activities to establish NXT without stakeholders. Further development comes from internal NXT payments for services. People earn their NXT which is good and proper way to develop the NXT economy

If Anon136 is not able to be the keeper of the NXT, then keep looking for another trusted person. It is worth the effort.

I wouldn't block anything at all. There is no problem to find 10 trusted people.

What about sending 1M to 10 accounts without changes in the code?
This is a good idea, imho.

ethereum has some interesting features. esp. the DACs getting my attention.
some questions for those with a fresher overview about this:

1. DACs are first defined by a company called invictus?
2. is there any real working DAC in any running system now?
3, if so, where and what kind of task?
4. would it make sense to create DACs for nxt?
5. if so, would this lead into real media attention or is this just buzz?

1. Yes, Daniel Larimer (bytemaster) is the coiner of the phrase.
2. Bitcoin and many many other crypto-protocols
3. See no.2
4. NXT is a DAC but could be subdivided into smallers DACS by forking the protocol like protoshares will be forked to bitshares, etc.
5. No it wouldn't lead to any extra attention

thx for the info marcelus, it seems i have had a totally different approach in understanding DACs.
calling bitcoin a DAC seems not very logic to me, autonomous neither, perhaps i mixed up with
smart contracts.

All distributedly managed blockchain's are autonomous by their very nature. Bitcoin is an autonomous payments corporation and people who own bitcoins are its shareholders. This applies to any blockchain with tokens (coins).
