Chrome down message: resolving host..., then This webpage is not available

Just tested on chrome, works like a charm. maybe you have some SSL certificates blocked that are not "official" ?

In the morning worked normally, cleared cache, nothing helped. No errors or messages regarding SSL. Very strange Sad

You can always dig out the ol' firefox Smiley

My message edited: the same with firefox...

Wow, ok so maybe the server banned your IP (unlikely)
or your ISP fucked with your line?

Very strange indeed

Redtube and other shit is working, instead of nxtforum Smiley P.S. I live not in China, but in Europe.

otpkeyprov plugin configuration

Quote
The difficulty arises with the user authenticator Google documentation . One Base32 ( secret ) key is expected . You must set the secret key to Base32 in KeePass and restrict your secret key to the base 32 character set : az, 2-7. KeePass allows "= " but not Google authenticator . Base32 length secret key Apart expressed in multiples of 8 characters.
A configuration that works :
Adjust the settings OTP Lock :
Long: 6
Secret key : abcdefghxz234567 ( Base32 )
Counter : 0 ( Dec)
OTP Number 3
Looking forward 9 (allows 3 failed attempts to unlock using KeePass newly generated OTPs before a recovery is needed because the counters have become too out of sync. )
Set Google Authenticator
secret key : abcdefghxz234567
counter : counter based
The first 6 OTPs are:
442843
724600
994 767
847 513
160505
583 080
Make sure you never lose the secret key or it will be permanently locked out of KeePass if counters lose synchronization. It also recognizes that the real secret is the secret key is not the OTP .

Quote
real secret is the secret key is not the OTP

otpkeyprov plugin, actually, enter the same secret key both in kee pass as google autenticator .
this is the same passphrase that synchronizes tokens.

I'm not clear if this is a point of trust
google autenticator is a point of trust?

is There a trust third part required??
someone can argue?

I learned to type on a "typewriter" but I never used *two spaces* so am not sure where that idea came from.

(I am 46 so I guess that makes me a good candidate to be BCNext also)

google "typewriter spaces after period"

http://www.writersdigest.com/online-editor/how-many-spaces-after-a-period

I also have never heard of this rule.
However, being the last year to even get typewriter lessons (and still able to make a magazine using tape and scissors and a Hectograph Smiley) it may be that standards at that time had already slipped.

I miss the sound of a typewriter...

Though I come from the post typewriter era, I have heard of this rule. Maybe it's not as universal as I thought, though.
I think certain "schools" of typewriting really emphasized this rule, while some had no cares about it. I think it was to make typewritten pages more readable. Maybe European countries didnt have this "rule"?
So maybe BCNext is from America? Havent heard from British peoples on the two space rule.

James

P.S. Of course, this could all just be misdirection, but interesting how certain things are "universal" in some parts of the world and unheard of in others

Does NXT have a desktop GUI client yet?  The OP has some screenshots that look like real apps... is there a page about them anywhere?

It used to be a universal rule at least in the US back before word processing. Every character was the same width -- like the courier font, so you were supposed to put two spaces at the end of a sentence because it made it easy for the eye to see the break in the sentence and know that it was not a comma or something.

This has not been the standard for many years, because computerized fonts are designed to be easy to read with only one space and you actually have to go looking for a fixed width font if you want to use one.

When searched Orwell's 1984 from net, I found few books with ".  ", e.g.
The Secret Service., by Albert D. Richardson
The Cruise of the Midge (Vol. I of 2), by Michael Scott

1984 was easier to interpret with the common ". "  Smiley

I believe you can leave it blank for now. I think its for using the alias as a pointer to a website, but you can always change once you own the alias.

you can enter a nxt account number for sending money in a client like Wesleys, or the Android App, or even an http:// like http://google.com

you can also change it later once you own it. you just do the whole thing over again with a different value in the URL box, pay 1 nxt, or .01nxt when it changes and point it where ever you like.
