Yeah I'll put on the tinfoil....

I just find it strange when an account is created - releases a coin - posts for about 2 weeks - then posts nothing for 4 months and then pops back with your endorsement.  Then I have  a look through the original announcement thread and see this :

its only been 6 days since release, have some patience guys...

if you want it to get on cryptsy, send emails to vern (cryptsy admin), post around about SBC, etc. thats the only way its gonna happen.

meanwhile mine the hell out it. Cheesy i expect a very high starting price of this coin..

Yet this coin had a pre-mine and you are so against those aren't you.... anyway carry on I thought I would just do a bit of writing like your blog.
If you bothered to read the main post, you would have seen that the premine was provably destroyed... Unlike megacoins premine which was dumped onto cryptsy. Roll Eyes

I was a big fan of this coin back when it was originally released, so naturally I'm excited to see it's return. It was one of the standout coins of it's time period, and had a lot of potential before artos vanished.

StableCoin P2pool is back up and running Smiley
No registration required, just point your miners to the pool and start receiving payouts!

Is this normal? I seem to be getting more work restarts than I can even get shares submitted...

What that mean is that a new block was found on the network. Each time a new block is found stratum aborts the current work for the previous block and gives out new work!

Multiple times a minute, though? See, it happened 5 times in a 60-second time period in that screenshot - I thought blocks were only created about every 40 seconds...

It does seem to have smoothed itself out a bit, though... so I might just be seeing some weirdness. The coin-base.org pool wasn't doing anything close to that crazy, but it doesn't seem to be working properly, hence adding another pool...

Derp, I just needed to look up what a "P2Pool" is.

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/P2Pool

"P2Pool creates a new block chain in which the difficulty is adjusted so a new block is found every 10 seconds."

Ah. *reduces queue to 1* Wink

I've been following this coin for a while, but never had an account. It's cool to see the developer back and active now. I remember there was a post in the original topic about having a shop or a market of some sort for SBC - do you still see that as being one of your goals? That was one of the points of the coin that seemed like a good idea to me. A way to actually purchase goods with it.

I have started to mine this coin now. Really seems like a good one. Keep up the good work guys!

Also, the mining pool seems to be lagging a bit sometimes Smiley

F-secure says "this program is potentially harmful". What's up with that? Will try other scanners...

Probably multipool's influence. It's at the top of coinwarz right now.

Just part of the game, man.

In light of the rebirth of Stablecoin we will be continuing the Stablecoin pool at:

http://www.miningpool.co

We never actually closed down the pool since it was launched quite some time ago. It was however scheduled to be closed down tomorrow (1st Dec.) until I saw this thread - just in the nick of time  Cheesy.

Nice, switched over to your pool since it seems to use better servers.

That's every single altcoin these days. You can thank the multipools for that.

Go mine bitcoin if you don't want to see orphans.
