Hi,
I have an idea but this is just an idea and I want see what you guys have to say.
What if we auctioned off the GLB held in storage( both reserve and dev tax) rather than trying to get buyers based on current trading price?
This would have a couple effects and I will list below
Positive
1. The currency would be backed by more BTC and LTC
2. We could spend the dev-tax BTC to really develop the project faster and turn it into cold hard cash to spend on advertising
3. The GLB held would not be "hoarded" by us but sent into circulation having positive impacts for the economy. (more people buying services, more flow of money etc.)
Negative
1. It could considerably reduce the trading price of GLB. However, by selling in large quantities e.g. 10,000 GLB those wanting to buy on smaller levels such as 1,000 GLB would still have to buy from the miners and they could set their own prices. Having said this our large cheap sales would still probably effect your small sales.
I know this is not going to seem great for the miners but i think the three positives will over the long term push the price up. I would really like to hear what you would have to say both positive and negative so please comment below.
Thanks Sphere

Here is the thing though, what is "resonable" .... ? and also its an auction so it may go for really cheap or reasonable price. I don't know. Maybe we could do a trial run. Thanks for your feedback Sphere

Hi everyone, as a real world trial of GLB's commercial value, I am putting up the following Magic Card up for auction in it! Ali From Cairo - Arabian Nights, Near Mint Condition http://magic.tcgplayer.com/db/magic_single_card.asp?cn=Ali%20from%20CairoAll bids for this card MUST BE IN GLB. Anyone from the United States is welcome to bid, and shipping is free with your win (sorry, no international shipments.) You can submit your bid either in the forum or to me personally. I will keep a running tally of the top bid in this thread. The auction ends in a week, on January 17, 2014 at 11:59:59 PM GMT (6:59:59 PM EST.) Any bids that are timestamped after that time will not be accepted. Okay then! Happy auction, and lets see where GLB goes! Yes guys we are try to establish a price for GLB based on goods sold. Feel free to make a bid

Sounds like something interesting in principle, think you'd be best off trying a single auction with a chunk of GLB and seeing how it goes. That'll give you an idea of level of interest and potential price points. BTW - the main web site seem to be out of action at the moment, I get an message saying it has an error connecting to database.

Hi, Yes it would be a single auction just as a trial run. I will see what can be done to fix the site. Thanks Sphere
