I sent an email to the dev of http://cryptexplorer.com/, I like the simple design of that site. Maybe he wants to add Globe as well.

This was my first coin wallet that I downloaded (other than litecoin) but it can't be launched from my computer files? I have to launch it from winrar each time and it never saves my nodes. I want to buy some GLB but I want to sort this out first in case it deletes my coins.
How would I save it to my computer? Like there is a Litecoin logo I just launch from my programs. Can I get a Globe icon to click?

I see what you mean. Other bigger coins have installers that install the files into the "Program files" section of your computer and create some shortcuts on the desktop etc. You can always un-zip the file and place it in your documents. To my knowledge these coins don't save any nodes. The only way to save nodes is to add them onto the globe.conf file. Also their is no risk of deleting your coins unless you purposefully delete a file known as "wallet.dat". Its stored away in a different place on your computer so you won't see it. You can get a nice Globe icon. Extract the Globe-QT folder --> Right click on Globe-Qt-0.3 --> select Send to --> click Desktop. This will create a nice shortcut with the Globe logo on the desktop. When you click it the Globe QT will run. Hope that's OK If you have more questions feel free to post again .

Hi everyone,
Im thinking of uploading the tax wallet onto a VPS. It will be more reliable than my frankly pretty slow and disk space deprived laptop . Security is a concern e.g. what if the VPS provider runs off with the wallet file but I think this can be overcome with encrypting the wallet. This is a feature already built-in the Globe QT and daemon.
What do you think ?
Thanks Sphere

The wallets are not encrypted yet? Sphere.... Security 101! Make sure you use a passphrase with 13 characters or more, with at least one of each group (number, lower case, upper case, special character). Then, make a backup of the wallet.dat file, that you store on two USB thumbnails - kept at two different locations (in case of fire). Save the handwritten passphrase at a different physical locations also. Then you can put the file on a VPS. Even if someone steals the wallet file, they won't be able to do any withdraw from it (unless they also have the passphrase). Hi, The wallets are encrypted . The paraphrase even even longer than 13 character . I was simply pointing out the feature. I apologize for the misunderstanding I should have probably written that the wallets are encrypted. D'oh.

! Important Announcement Read Carefully ! I found some Freicoin code that was not meant to be there. Fixed the issue but this will require you guys to download new QTs Linked below. Github has also been updated with the new source code. I predict this will cause the dreaded hard fork but it will be after 160,000 blocks so it gives you guys enough time to switch over. Hopefully this should fix the issue (after a certain point the tax was designed to stop in Freicoin had to remove this). You won't realize anything different on the front end and your QT will work and look the same as it did before. On the bright side I took this opportunity to update the checkpoints Windows QT : https://www.dropbox.com/s/bci4l5o2rkpc2e7/Globe-QT-Windows-0.3.zipLinux QT : https://www.dropbox.com/s/187to8wmmm9167h/Globe-QT-Linux-0.3.zipMac QT: https://www.dropbox.com/s/e12zeughbp2zprg/Globe-Qt-0.3-Mac.zipAgain sorry, but as I said development is not my strong point and I'm no coder my skills lie in Business. EDIT: removed new checkpoints they where causing syncing issues
EDIT 2 : added the RSV & STB to the mac qt Thanks Sphere May I remind everyone who has not yet switched to the new wallets to do so. Thank you

The current GLB network has been stable at 13k difficulty for the last 24h. At that diff, a miner can expect about 5.9 GLB per GH, per day - check globe.ecoining.com Estimates on the "Pool" page (note that the globe.suprnova.cc estimates are wrong, they use 10 GLB per block to calculate their estimates). BTC profitability is currently at 0.235 mBTC per GH, per day (ref: CoinWarz). For GLB to be equal, the price of GLB should be 0.04 mBTC (5.9 x 0.04).
I don't see any reasonable and fair Buy offers at 0.04 mBTC on the exchange. If there was, maybe some people will sell them... I truly believe that people should at least put some "fair" buy offer on the exchange before asking to buy on this forum.
BTW: If someone expects to buy over 10-15% of all the coins ever minted (and that is good for any coins) - don't expect to pay the current trade value. Expect to pay a lot more! Try it - go on Cryptsy and try to buy 10% of Doge, or 10% any coins - look at the volume and see how much it would cost to get 10% of that coin...
Good point. GLB is underestimated. We need to work hard and work together to make GLB more valuable.

buddy, be patient, because you know the value of GLB.
It might not be a bad thing if someone sells GLB at very cheap price. It makes GLB more decentralized. As only miners are care about the profit of mining, it's better to have it displayed on the pool. I saw many pools have such feature to display the profit in terms of BTC. So sphere can contact the pool operator to check the possibility.
For GLB to be listed on coinswz, or coinmarketcap, we need to get GLB on an exchange first. then these websites can query the latest trading price to calculate the market cap of GLB.
By the way, do you have any idea to attract more buyers?

As long as you use a trusted VPS provider, I think this is a great idea! You can never trust hardware 100%, a lot of things can go wrong. On another note, I am still looking to buy GLB if anyone is selling. PM any reasonable price.
