Why would people use a cryptocurrency at an online gambling site rather than an actual currency?

More to the point, how would you propose a dev who can't even post a full and comprehensive account of where all the premine has gone, overcome the massive (and I mean colossal) hurdles of integrating a crypto currency into an industry heavily regulated by a multitude of national governments?

Jesus titty Christ, I thought Narnia and Hogwarts were fantasy lands.
If you're talking to me, quote me.
Don't spread brainfarts without doing any research.

Stop watching movies for kids, then mentioning them. Most of us haven't even watched them, why would we take you seriously?

Each currency which exist today, could be used for something. LottoCoin could be used for gambling. BottleCaps could be used for sodas, SexCoin could be used for porn. I can bring you a ton of stuff, but it seems that you've been trapped in your own monologue and can't even quote when you get butthurt Wink Pointless to continue anything, duh

Anyway, I must keep my professionalism at its level.

thanks for your time.

Hey, it's @ThisWeeksCoin

Look at this..

Heavy promotions are running currently. What does that mean? Advertisement = Profit. Right?

If right, then, isn't better for a coin to have a LOWER price? So people can buy CHEAPER?

A little scenario for the ones who don't understand how the markets run.

- There is mr X and mr Y

Mr X has a LOT of LOT, but he's a newbie when it comes to trades.
Mr Y has experience in trading and BitCoins ( amount doesn't matter, the more, the better for him )

So, when mr Y sees that a coin, LOT in our case, is going to succeed, what does he do? He scares mr X, so he ''dumps'' cheaper. Then, mr Y BUYS CHEAP.
Does it work? Of course. Everyone can do it, all You have to do is to have some BTC so you can manipulate the market.

End of the sex story.
__________________________________

Conclusion? Don't dump. When You see dips, BUY. Markets bounce all the time, look at BTC. It was 1200+, then it went to 400, where is it now? Oh, right, near 900 USD at mtgox.

Words of wisdom

And after the reserve said it could be treated like a currency, you think the next step isn't to regulate and tax against it.

Wow.  All these uses for cryptocurrency that could exist, but don't.

Brainfarts without research?   My comments about where the price was headed were based on rational thought and figures.  The comments about LOT making people great returns after 6 months are based on nothing more than hope and speculation.

God help us if this is the "professionalism" we can now expect LOT to be marketed with.

Since I see that you believe in 'God'.. World wasn't made in 1 day. Of course, you read the bible everyday, so you know.

I've already bought stuff with cryptocurrencies. What was BTC 5 years ago? Just a idea. Who thought it will come to such price? Who would say that overstock.com will be accepting BTC? I guess you already knew that. Before anyone mentions anything.

Of course, I'm a professional. I do my research before I shoot anything on the internet. I always keep my stance, even when talking to people who have a big idea about themselves.

...

Well, not sure - but regulation and tax may be somewhat positive in this scenario. Somewhat, I said.
Sure, it's a big topic, so saying anything without going wide in subject might lead to a big and (perhaps) redundant discussion more suited for other topics.
But, overall...it's kinda in the middle right now, there's nothing blocking that on the one end, and nothing saying it'll go through 100% on the other.
Time will tell, I just thought to point out that it doesn't need to be called Narnia.

Looking forward to seeing what somebody who does "hardcore marketing" is going to do.  Given one of their first actions was to try and belittle the posts of a member who has given nothing but honest views, truthful criticism and correct advice.

So far there is nothing making this coin any different to any other alt coin, which is why it is being traded and priced like any other alt coin.

I dread to think how many coins have been handed over to finance this "marketing" given how big this announcement was reported to be.

Quick Start

Start with registering on our pool & creating workers for your computers. You can use our automated config generator in our workers page and download pre-configured files for your mining software.

EU Stratum Server: stratum+tcp://eu.coinum.org:3337
US Stratum Server: stratum+tcp://us.coinum.org:3337

CGMiner Configuration

Here is sample CGMiner configurations with fail-over support. Given that the stratum server you use fails, your miner software will continue to work with out other stratum server.
Note: You have to change WORKER and PASS with your actual worker-name and worker-password values you get from workers page.

EU
Code:
./cgminer -o stratum+tcp://eu.coinium.org:3337 -u WORKER -p PASS --failover-only -o stratum+tcp://us.coinium.org:3337 -u WORKER -p PASS --scrypt -I 13

US
Code:
./cgminer -o stratum+tcp://us.coinium.org:3337 -u WORKER -p PASS --failover-only -o stratum+tcp://eu.coinium.org:3337 -u WORKER -p PASS --scrypt -I 13

  • Our network - We already operate first class & high performance pools, check our other pools over http://www.coinium.org
  • %0 fee - Our network have no fees! We just kindly ask you to donate if you like to.
  • Stratum servers - We have stratum servers in Europe and  United States. Right now we have a total of 4 servers (2 stratum server, 1 webserver and 1 database server) and we are quickly upgrading & adding new servers to stack when we need to.
  • Fail-over config support - In case that the stratum server you use fails, your miner will just continue to mine with our secondary stratum server.
  • VARDIFF enabled - Our stratum servers will shift your work difficulty based on your hash-rate automatically.
  • DDOS Protected - Our servers are DDOS protected 7x24!
  • Automated backups - We get automated backups of our system.
  • Automatic payments - You can set automatic payments if you like to.
  • Fast confirmations - We are quickly processing your transactions once newly found blocks are confirmed.
  • Automatic config generator - Check our workers page to automatically download a generated configuration file for your workers with fail-over support!
  • Continous support - We are eager to help our users! You can ask for support in our forum topic.
  • IRC support - We have operators in our IRC channel and you can chit-chat about mining too.
  • Mobile friendly - We have mobile friendly user interface so you can check your miner's status from your mobile devices
  • Contests - We are regularly creating contests and giving bonus coins to our miners!

But, if ''advice'' means to spread fear to a community, so they dump cheap, so you can buy, yeah. I'll step on ya foot.

Here is the link to my trust settings here on forum. This trust system is very unfair. I make good on every deal Ive ever made. I had many, many deals as you can see and I never scammed anyone. All it takes is a random account to give you negative trust and youre screwed. Tomatocage has never even talked to me ever but when the random acct hit me with negative trust, Tomatocage came right behind him and marked neg trust again so obviously he was the one who did it. You can look at Tomatocage trust and see how many of his compeditors at the currency exchange thread he labeled scammers. I never scammed anyone. My trust was green over 20 before this. I hope it never happens to you because the mods cant help you.

What fear and "fud"?

Go back and check my opinion on where the price was heading.  Based on the sales and buy orders stats, frequency and volume of auto trades.  I called where I saw the price going and it went there.

If you think that's fud, then so be it.  It was honest advice that if followed would have either saved people money, or made them more coins.

So anyone is free to check out my posts, they are all factual and have very valid points.  You just wish to call them "fud" (whatever fud is) because you have been paid to ramp the coin.

So, do tell what was "fud" about my post regarding where the price was heading?  Would "stepping on my foot" regarding that post have served anyone any good?

Carry on, though if you think I'm not going to pick you up on any baseless ramping, you are very much mistaken.  Encouraging people to buy and raise the price based on pure speculation is dishonest and creates a price bubble that serves nobody any good.

Where exactly do you see me saying to people to buy coins?
If you pay a little attention, you'll see that my role isn't to pump any coin. My role here is to advertise LOT. Advertising means pumping?
If so, I'm da pimp pumper.

Feel free to answer my question.  You have accused me of posting "fud".

Please advise what was fud about my opinion and forecast on where the price was heading today and providing the stats to back it up?

My mistake, I assumed the purpose of advertising was to encourage people to buy into a product.  I can assume therefore your advertising will not contain any untruths and blatant/baseless ramps of the coin.  I.e. "price going up from here" type posts etc.?

Check my twitter. Look at the posts. You wont find me ANYWHERE mentioning to buy or sell any coin.
I'm not involved with that, because anyone who doesn't like me and holds 2-3 btc can manipulate the price. Who's fault would be if I suggested to someone to buy? Of course, my fault.

I'm not getting deeper in this. I have much work to do, 99 problems, but you're not one of them.

It is you who pushes CONSTANTLY and tries manipulate the market, I've pointed it out and provided quotes from you mere hours ago. Yes, you said the markets were going down, that didn't take a genius to see about 3 hours ago. You are putting a scare into people for your own gain, which is fine its a free market, do what you want. But we see what you are doing and I hope everyone else does to.

I getting a kick out of it because I just bought low with you, but its not funny to some people who care about the future of the coin and aren't just trying to make a quick buck on the side too.

I mean you got the goods, I got to tell you, never a dull moment. Movie references, "were looking at uncharted territory", and on and on and on and on.

LOL
