FWIW just spent some time looking at the pool and chatting with bryany3000 - seems like good people and on the up and up.
Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

No, you have it wrong. The 30% better than other pools is true. Also, if you invest $5,000 you get a return of $50,000. There are very few of these opportunities still available - by the time you read this it may be too late. If interested, PM me and I will see what can be done.

BTC…where serious miners go to mine bitcoin

....
This pool uses clustering from its I7 core to load balance across multiple CPU cores which in turn earn you more bitcoin. Over the short term you will earn 30-40% more bitcoin then other pools.

I pruned some (apparently) dead pools from the wiki, some of them also still appear in this list.

MuPool no longer seems to support Bitcoin.
pool.itzod.ru appears to be unresponsive
Enso's site is not responsive
BlisterPool's site is down (cloudflare notice)

pool.cryptopros.com seems to throw a security error (certificate expired)

edit
solomining.com is also down (until further notice)
bitsolo.net and solo.nicehash.com are two missing solo pools
/edit

Might also be nice to get some of the info in this thread on over to the wiki Smiley

Thanks, TheRealSteve, I've removed the pools that don't work.

As Kano wrote, the pool ops of bitsolo.net and solo.nicehash.com need to post here if they want to be included.

Oh yeah, totally understood - more a nudge to them Smiley  nicehash should be along eventually, no idea if bitsolo even has an account here (dropped them a line via their site anyway).

When you changed stratifier.c in ckpool, what did you change the word ckpool to (at this line)
https://bitbucket.org/ckolivas/ckpool/src/75ffa2d4cb346d0007afb8811dba41c9f0836d76/src/stratifier.c?at=master#cl-510

or,
when you run ckpool, what do you set "btcsig" to in the conf file.

i.e. those 2 strings are always in the coinbase sig
What are they?

Edit: updated this post as per the block you found Smiley
So it'll just be the "btcsig" when you add it.

Hello everyone. just a quick question. From what i know it's really hard to mine BTC now and with mining pools with 1000+THash running, it is not worth trying to start a new one, right?
Or is it still worth it?
Or it is worth only for altcoins?

If you can make a pool that provides a service that no-one else can, then you could be successful. Just read complaints in pool threads and you might get an idea of what is required.
