Triplemining is closing today.  More info @ https://www.triplemining.com

Noooo! Say it isn't so. I was really hoping Triplemining would get popular again. The only problem you had was low hashrate, and that would have been solved if a few big hashers went your way.

It's a sad day for bitcoin mining.

Sad to see Triplemining go. Can't really see what was a drawback to their setup, worked well for me.

Hash rate was up sharply during the last days of the last blocks, so obviously it wasn't a forgotten pool. I think people were trying to time it, something of the gambler's fallacy.

I'd think they could have looked to smaller hash rate miners with their lottery and increased the hash rate through many small hash rate miners. Was there for the last two blocks (I suppose they planned to pull after the first of those but the other was a short round).

i that long time will be on f2pool after my profit will increase ?

right now my 24 profit is s3 . 0.00395090 btc

F2Pool is not based on luck.  So it's payouts are more uniform in amount.

I know I typed this out at least once, please read your other threads.

something which i also want to know about pools ... if a pool finds more blocks per 24 hours does that mean more earnings for the user ? vs a pool which finds less blocks or does it even outs ?
i am hard time understanding this

This question was last
Hash rate.  You should have a legend somewhere near the graph that tells you which algorithm that's for, too - but seems you left that out of your capture.

When a pool finds blocks quickly you have less time to submit shares so you submit fewer shares per round.  When a pool finds blocks slowly you have more time to submit shares so you submit more shares per round.  So within limits it can even out.

If a pool is really large this means your variance is lower so you get paid the same day to day.  Small pools will have lower payouts during bad luck periods but will have larger payouts on good luck runs, so it usually evens out over a longer period of time.

In addition to what os2sam said - it also depends highly on the payout system.

E.g. if it's a PPLNS-like system, you get paid out based on your proportion to the last N shares in the round.  Whether that round takes an hour or a minute, your number of shares relative to other miners should remain, on average, the same.  If a round takes a very, very short time then variance starts becoming an issue.

Contrast that with a PPS system, however, where you get paid a fixed amount per share - so if it's a very short round and you submit fewer shares - regardless of how many shares others submit - you get a lower payout vs when it's a long round.

I recommend reading the second post in this thread for a quick overview of some of the payout systems.

PPLNS is last N shares, period (regardless of the round). Paying per the round is called proportional. Proportional is a broken system that should never be used, due to its vulnerability to pool hopping.

Oop, that's right - mea culpa Smiley

You mean "how many blocks are fount on antpool per day"?
If so, check out organofcorti's site for block maker statistics:

That statistic is for a week, so 169/7 ~= 24/day
You can find older statistics at the same site, just click the links on the left.

so as when i first started (single s5 miner) i used ghash which ones took almost 25 hours to find a single blocks and payed me for that perticular block 0.002 approxx .. then i swtiched to antpool which was roughly giving me 0.01 per day on avg and now i am on f2pool which is giving again 0.01 atleast daily i do think they are all using same payment methodh pplns though but amount generate on daily basis do vary still some how

i am not familiar with too much tech details into mining and bitcoin stuff all i know is if pool and what i am getting paid which is why i want to go with pool which pays me more everyday which i think is the goal for every newbie to mining and bitcoin ..

GHash has historically had connection problems which resulted in allot of orphans when compared with other well maintained pools so I doubt that is a fair comparison especially since they are a much smaller chuck of the network hashrate than they used to be.

Also with the smaller pools you can't go by day to day which is what I tried to explain before.  You may need to average out the month for smaller pools as a pool may have not find a block in a day or two so those days may not have a payout at all.  But then they may have a streak of blocks and payout 2 or 3 times as much as the larger pool.  So you need to take the average.  Glomming onto the largest pool for the sake of low variance is rarely a good idea.

Also f2pool is PPS pool so it doesn't matter how many blocks they find you still get paid the same for that difficulty period.  PPS is actually very bad for pools and has bankrupted several.  F2Pool makes it work so far because they are very large.  But that will change.  It always does.

I have changed my pool format up.  I consider it a Group Solo Mining Pool.  Everyone still competes for the block reward in the same way but if you get the winning block hash then you (as of this post) get 99.5% of the block reward.  The fee will be lowered as more hashing comes our way.  Read more here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=104664.msg10963404#msg10963404

You can also read my post on our pool thread here on bitcointalk: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1019014.msg11202381#msg11202381

Hope to see you guys join in with us.  If pools merge into us we collectively can start out doing some of these larger pools by becoming our own.

Cheers,
Adaryian
