Hello ooc,

...
Thanks, Eckmar. What I meant though, was do you want me to quote what 'x' is, or just leave it until you change to "user defined" and use than instead?

BTW, your "Sunny regards" only ever make me cranky by reminding me that it's been more than year since I was last at Koh Samui Wink
Just quote that x for the moment, because that's like it is NOW.
I will update you after next week, when we have our own Stratum Proxy Server running and I am back from Melbourne (Australia) to Koh Samui (Thailand).

When you are next time here on Koh Samui give me a note... as a German I have always cold bear in my fridge or a hot coffee ready...  Cool

Cu soon,

At the risk of sounding like a dope ... uh, what exactly is 'x' again? In shares per minute?

When you are next time here on Koh Samui give me a note... as a German I have always cold bear in my fridge or a hot coffee ready...  Cool

Grrr ... have to rub it in, huh?  Cry

Well, next time I'm there I'll ask you for a guided tour of your ASIC racks Wink

Bitparking no longer does PPS. It's DGM only from here on out so you might want to remove the PPS entry. Thanks!

That's a matter of personal preference, for the most part.

Regarding best... is there a difference in pools regarding the earned coins? Letting aside all fees, that can be calculated or merged mining. And comparing the same pool-technique. Is there a difference? Maybe pool 3 has 2% less income at the end. I know theoretically that shouldnt happen but maybe there are black sheeps in this businness or something like this.

Please ALWAYS contact me through bitcointalk pm before sending someone coins.

I guess you mean has any pool had such suspiciously poor luck that the simplest explanation is that something is wrong? Only BitcoinPool, AFAIK.

And all other pools have comparable results when one for example would point 1TH to each of these pools for 3 days and compare the results by not taking into account know vars like mergedmining, transaction fees and so on? Would be good to hear if so.

3 days and 1 TH is not enough to get statistically relevant data I guess... your resul might still be influenced greatly by luck

I would think it would take an entire difficulty period to get accurate results from that type of test and be objective.

If its not doable with 1TH then its probably not doable at all. I thought one could check out if the pools are playing fair.

Updated. Note that I couldn't get hashrates for Eligius, Coinotron or Ecki as their stats pages were either unavailable or down.

Currency: LiteCoin [LTC]
Pool: www.CrypDough.com
Pool Fee: 0.5%
Payout Type: PPLNS
Extras:  Fantastic interface, useful chrome extension, very open and honest owner.

Interesting question - should we add LTC pools or have a separate sticky for them? I can't really fit any more columns in, so if we include them in the OP as another section, it could get rather large and unwieldy. Plus I don't do stats for LTC pools (just yet, I aim to at some point) so I can't add them to the hashrate list.

Opinions?

Until Litecoin has some use beyond being a proxy for BTC, there's no point in listing LTC pools.

If you're searching these lines for a point, you've probably missed it.  There was never anything there in the first place.
