Hi William,

thanks for formatting your request, makes it so much easier to enter. If added you to the list, but I'm not sure about the variable difficulty - it is user defined or automatic?

Hi organofcorti

Difficulty is currently automatic but we are soon implementing custom difficultys on an alternate port.

How many shares per minute (SPM) do you target?

We target 20 shares per minute, and with the custom diff it will be user defined.

The purpose of the top post in this thread is to provide the information for you to make an informed choice.

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?
A: Top-posting.
Q: What is the most annoying thing on usenet and in e-mail?

Thanks for letting me know. People want their pools up immediately but never let me know when they close, so the list crufts up after a little while.

OoC,

with BFL and it's assets in receivership, I'd warn miners about mining at EMC.

Maybe. I have fond memories of mining at EMC, and it was around a long time before BFL - I'm not sure it would be considered property of BFL, would it?

It has come out that Josh sold EMC to BFL when he joined BFL.  Think he sold it for $200K?  Not sure about the amount though. As such, EMC would come under purvey/control of the receiver.  Not sure how they would handle the funds of the pool if push came to shove.

Hi,

It might be interesting for you to add our NiceHash.com and WestHash.com SHA256 pools to your list. It is not an ordinary pool (hashing power sell/buy service actually), but miners can use it just as simple as a regular pool (https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=gstarted).

Advantages:
- better payouts then regular SHA256 Bitcoin pools because hashing power buyers are willing to pay more for mining altcoins (https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=stats, https://www.westhash.com/index.jsp?p=stats)
- no dependence on luck or whatever since earning are assigned in real time while hashing power is being bought

Disadvantages (not really, but it should be mentioned anyway):
- might take some effort for you to properly configure miners to get 100% efficiency on some exotic miners (we are using some advanced stratum features which are unsupported in older miners with some particular versions of cgminer) ... usually it helps if you upgrade to latest firmware, play with some settings (--queue 0 --scan-time 1 --expiry 1), use BFGMiner 4.7.0 if you can (https://www.nicehash.com/software/#asic) or try with proxy (https://www.nicehash.com/docs/connect-via-proxy)

*edit: formatted pool information:

Pool:                        NiceHash
Website:                   https://www.nicehash.com
Proxy:                      Yes
Generation address:  n/a
Payout method:        PPS
Fee:                         2%
Pay Tx Reward:        n/a (payments visible on site)
Vardiff:                    128 - 32768
Local Work:              Stratum
Pay Orphans:           there are no orphans
Min Withdrawal:       0.0001
Merge Mining:          No

Just give it a try or take a look at our past stats: https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=stats Wink

So i went ahead and purchased a Ant miner ANTMINER S4 -B2 which says it pumps out 2th... I am not new to trading coins but i am new to mining so if anyone can suggest the best pool for me to join that would be great. I am also looking to purchase another miner.. I don't have to pay for electricity for now so i can setup a good amount of miners but just want to join the best pool for my miner if that matters and I do plan on adding more miners.

thanks in advance

Done. Check the listing, make sure it's ok. Also, let me know what should go under the "   Variable difficulty?" column ("User defined" or otherwise).
