Here's question for ya my fellow Hodlers

just over a year ago i bought 4 BTC at a cost of approx £330, I still have all 4 but it was my intention to sell £330 pounds worth at some point...
so would you do ?  hodl on for the hell of it or cover your costs ?

The OP said that he is a bad trader, but even though he did never lost faith on btc. If you think you're good trader you should trade your btc in other to get more btc, its just the old greed/fear mechanism. Hodling strategy seens to me just the natural way to be in the safe side. Takeing it to another scale, I think hodl position is consevative as btc development is, for instance, I would like to see new inovations on btc protocol but at the same time we should avoid take unecessary risks. In cryptology one litter error can bring down the whole system and for me, that's the beauty of alt-coins .. with altcoins we can have a proper test bed for a wide range of new experiemnts while keep btc in the safe side. Thats why I hodl btc, and I am "full tilt" with altcoins.

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Still holding. In it for the long haul. It truly blows my mind how many people are plugged into the Matrix and give into the sensationalist headlines about Bitcoin.

It is not easy to think straight if you think the media and the "specialists" tell the truth and are profesional who want to inform you

When you understand they are lying, unprofessional and usually don't understand anything that it is happening, you can get a clearer idea of what is going on

It is not only the american population, everyone is in its bubble thinking they don't like economy and that it is complicated

They do know that they shouldn't trust the politicians nor the big banks but they feel powerless, they vote for the one that promise to change things and build public schools, then they are surprised when he sells his power to the big banks, buy guns and control them even more

As i posted here some times ago, i buyed btc @ 1100 and start to hodl. I'm hodling like a boss now, but i'm likely to need the little sum i'm hodling in a short time, and if i sell now i will take too much loss and don't have money anyway.

What should i do?

I was thinking about gamble but i don't think it could do any good...

If you don't need the money, don't sell. Think of this as variance.

As for myself, I'm mining away in the black here, and spending small amounts of bitcoin on stuff like Wii U's, parts, and household stuff from Overstock. I want bitcoin to be something people can actually transact in, as well as a store of value.

Besides, that drives TX fees, and lord do we need TX fees....

I'm a hodler, but unfortunately I had to resell 3 BTC (more than 50% of my Bitcoin possessions), because I needed the money. I encourage you to hodl your BTC if you can find an alternative source of money without touching your Bitcoin reserves.

Under construction.

I've hidden my cold storage so well that it would be too much of a bother not to hodl. HODL FTW!
