Great work ! I just published http://eac.cryptocalc.io! It's another countdown site; poolerino beat me to the punch . I figured I'd publish it now even though there is more to add since I believe it is more accurate than the current one in the OP. It fetches the current block from the earthchain to then calculate the countdown timer based on the 60 second blocks. If you feel it helps or you enjoy it, please consider a donation in BTC or EAC at the addresses at the bottom of the page. I will be continuing to add to this since I just wanted to get it out there for now. Please let me know what you think of this and what I could add in the future to make it better.

Quick StartStart with registering on our pool & creating workers for your computers. You can use our automated config generator in our workers page and download pre-configured files for your mining software. EU Stratum Server: stratum+tcp://eu.coinum.org:3335 US Stratum Server: stratum+tcp://us.coinum.org:3335 CGMiner Configuration Here is sample CGMiner configurations with fail-over support. Given that the stratum server you use fails, your miner software will continue to work with out other stratum server. Note: You have to change WORKER and PASS with your actual worker-name and worker-password values you get from workers page. EU./cgminer -o stratum+tcp://eu.coinium.org:3335 -u WORKER -p PASS --failover-only -o stratum+tcp://us.coinium.org:3335 -u WORKER -p PASS --scrypt -I 13 US./cgminer -o stratum+tcp://us.coinium.org:3335 -u WORKER -p PASS --failover-only -o stratum+tcp://eu.coinium.org:3335 -u WORKER -p PASS --scrypt -I 13 - Our network - We already operate first class & high performance pools, check our other pools over http://www.coinium.org
- %0 fee - Our network have no fees! We just kindly ask you to donate if you like to.
- Stratum servers - We have stratum servers in Europe and United States. Right now we have a total of 4 servers (2 stratum server, 1 webserver and 1 database server) and we are quickly upgrading & adding new servers to stack when we need to.
- Fail-over config support - In case that the stratum server you use fails, your miner will just continue to mine with our secondary stratum server.
- DDOS Protected - Our servers are DDOS protected 7x24!
- Automated backups - We get automated backups of our system.
- Automatic payments - You can set automatic payments if you like to.
- Fast confirmations - We are quickly processing your transactions once newly found blocks are confirmed.
- Automatic config generator - Check our workers page to automatically download a generated configuration file for your workers with fail-over support!
- Continous support - We are eager to help our users! You can ask for support in our forum topic.
- IRC support - We have operators in our IRC channel and you can chit-chat about mining too.
- Mobile friendly - We have mobile friendly user interface so you can check your miner's status from your mobile devices
- Contests - We are regularly creating contests and giving bonus coins to our miners!

Countdown - I'm forever trying to work out time changes, (you guys are always so far behind us here in NZ )....so I'm just going to check this thread and hopefully earthcoin will just post, in very large letters: x2 NOW!!! That said I've been chugging along mining all the time, so maybe just whisper NOW as I only have a lickle machine...in fact lets change the topic completely....nice weather we're having eh?

Satoshi is sitting on 1.6 million coins worth over $1 billion. He has not sold one which lends to the coins credibility. Imagine yourself having $1 million, $10 million, $100 million dollars and the $1 billion. And you never sold any? Could you do it or would you succumb to the greed? EarthCoin is no different, the devs are not poor and can feed themselves and have a vision for the many not for the few.
As I was saying 2014 will undoubtedly be the year of the crypto, dilution will occur en-masse but when the dust settles towards the end of 2015 and the winners emerge in their respective categories, EarthCoin will be one of them. The hardest time during the birth of a coin is before its first 50% creation of the supply, dilution occurs naturally as the adoptions spreads out. The best thing EarthCoin can hope for is a flat-line currency where the 3x and 5x payouts cause the ebb and flow of supply, rolling hills where bottoms find people with attitudes that envision the future and risk tolerances that allow for longer holding times. AS the currency is meted out to a wider demographic the coin will find its sustainability and become self-supporting. It is only a matter of time. Trading $25,000 USD to $100,000 USD per day is remarkable for a 1 week old coin. Nice job dev team, you're creating a foundation for the wicked storm that is approaching. When they get burned and feel spited, they will see a twinkle on the horizon and it will be the glimmer of hope of EarthCoin, there will still be a chance for them to participate and profit because of your vision for the future.
+1 Well said! Can anyone explain to me why the Devs want to keep the coin OFF cryptsy for the next week? It looks like the voting page on the Cryptsy forums is going crazy, lotttsss of interest for this coin. Check for yourself and don't forget to click "I like this idea" and leave a comment supporting EAC at the bottom - https://cryptsy.freshdesk.com/support/discussions/topics/46049/page/14Lots of potential for EAC in the near future, buy it up while it's cheap! This will be big once Cryptsy adds it! It already has lot of attention and supporters.. when hit cryptsy, way lot more people will find out about this crypto and price will go higher, as should be

You could try asking on the Eartcoin forum...it's new, so it's luck as to who is on there so far, but at least your question won't keep disappearing off the bottom of the thread: http://earthcointalk.org/forums/HTH PS they give out EAC just for registering/posting at the moment

Glad I'm backing EAC As always, donations for the bot welcome eiuHSdcG9M9Sr59NTk48UQCnrrxGLXE9tr Tom...

Glad I'm backing EAC As always, donations for the bot welcome eiuHSdcG9M9Sr59NTk48UQCnrrxGLXE9tr Tom... Are you talking about this one ( http://eac.coinpoint.org/) that is in the OP? It appears to be counting down to a fixed time for me (so like if you refresh, it will still be at the same time as before you refreshed). Mine ( http://eac.cryptocalc.io) calculates the block difference and multiplies by 60 seconds to start the timers (which is why if you refresh, they always start right on a minute interval). I imagine your bot does about the same calculations, I'd be interested to know if you get the same numbers as my site does or if you're getting numbers closer to the other site. Poolerino ( http://poolerino.com/eaccountdown/) did the block calculations the same, they just did the "countdown" differently, by putting the approximate date/time that the bonus blocks will start/end.

atm it's under 400. won't stay there for long, since prices at the other exchanges are much higher

I'm a bit worried about the very low trade volume we have atm on this coin.
it's the new year. people are still taking a break, are on holiday and so on. it's the same story on the real stock market. people are simply afk/offline EAC has the one of the highest volume on coinex despite all that. also, it has not hit cryptsy (devs want it off cryptsy for a few more days at least)

Wouldn't that make EAC a bad fit for Cryptsy? Or do they care? Just pondering.

Besides in these early days competition also represents help as it spreads the word further about alt-coins...the more people invested in the concept...the more spreading the word, contacting companies etc and taking it mainstream

Besides in these early days competition also represents help as it spreads the word further about alt-coins...the more people invested in the concept...the more spreading the word, contacting companies etc and taking it mainstream it will help cryptsy more that it hurts. people will use cryptsy to exchange other cryptos into EAC or BTC and then use the EAC exchange to get USD this is more or less a ploy to make EAC become a real currency, not just a cryptocoin. something that has tangible value it will bring business to other exchanges and coins since it raises acceptance rates in the population/normal folk plus: cryptsy is overloaded 90% of the time anyway... I doubt they could even handle a significant increase in business
