ICOs are meant to be hyped otherwise, marketers aren't doing their jobs properly. It's us who should be vigilant and do proper research. I'm still waiting for ICOs from certain legit projects like Paybear.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Every day more and more ICO collect money, and then disappear. Do you think we need sanctions for ICO?
I think governing bodies like SEC are already on the watch for scamming icos btt is also doing it best to wipe them off.  I believe projects die now not majorly because  they are scam,  but they just do because people stopped believing in them

Definitely Yes. Every day more and more ICO but the picture of the cryptocurrency market looks only worse. ICO scams fills the market and this leads to distrust of cryptocurrencies in General and you need to do something about it.

I think the hype for ICO is dying slowly because a lot of ICO don't reach their hard cap these days and almost 90% of ICO that hit exchange between last month and this month is below their ICO prices, all these factors will soon kill the hypes about ICO and I think it is better this happens so that only good project will emerge

I do not know when to end the ico hype because I see there are still many people who invest in ico projects. in my opinion, there should be an ico arrangement to avoid fraud in cryptocurrency. my advice, if you want to invest in ico you should check first about the development team and white paper.

I dont trust ICOs anymore. ICOs are good only during bullmarket, but during the bear, like now, they usually come to exchange with much lower price than ICO price. I bought some in February and March, but now, Im done with them.

Promotion are finishing practically soon as ICO's couldn't simply moved up built up with a huge number of assets, as you see the marketcap had as of now shrinked down and there aren't that much 10, 30 million hardcap extends any longer, existing fallen ventures may ease with esteem expostulated, and albeit new incomers are taking off, they aren't that anxious to look for fast benefits like how old ICOs used to be, financial specialists are particularly watchful the same number of them endured loses which their ICO token NEVER recover their valuable position which the hard fall of BTC from that point onward.

There are lots of projects or ICO's out there in the market which only to take our money and run away. Not all ICO are legit so it's better to do an investigation before investing in any kinds of projects. If you found out that their product is too good to be true or not realistic I think it's better to stay away from that project in order to avoid being a scam in the end.

Unfortunately there is a lot of scam in ICO. I think this type of business should be controlled by special regulators. Unfortunately there is a lot of scam in ICO. I think this type of business should be controlled by special regulators. It is also necessary to create a unified database in which ICO projects will be registered.

I trust that sometime there will be an administrative organization that will lead an autonomous assessment of the ICO and, as indicated by the outcomes, give an admission to the beginning of the battle, or dismiss.

It will never end because this is a great opportunity for scammers to raise money and stay free as this market is now almost no one is regulated and you can do whatever you want

Nothing is bad to invest in an ICO's if its legit and has realistic project that will benefit from the future. Unfortunately, there are projects that their goal is to scam or take other's hard-earned money which really saddens me a lot seeing other invester/traders are getting scam. We cannot stop people from investing on it but we can help them to prevent investing on the fake projects.

Yes, ICOs need to be regulated by a separate body so that they have to adhere to a strict time frame of their roadmap to liquidate for the investors. Even some of the ICOs are looking scam whether they are already distributed the coin and it has already gone over a year still not know in which exchanges they are.

True. I have seen a lot of FUD being spread in different telegram groups.
It seems like the trust have really go down to this ICO's ever since the scams happened. A lot of loss for a lot of people which makes the good companies looks so bad also.
They are being dragged by all this ruckus about scams. Now they cannot get the right amount for their projects.

There were scam projects last year too but we have seen this year is unprecedented. There are so many projects that either lack the ability or intention to actually execute on their whitepapers. Many are not even able to get their tokens listed at an exchange, let alone to achieve the other milestones in their roadmap.

Forget about regulation, they can only tackle the criminals, at best. But the majority is just incapable to deliver. We need a fundamental change to the structure of ICOs. I believe DAOs might have a better chance.

Truly , we need such a framework. In the event that we could make a decentralized database which has the data about all tricks and fizzled ICO(failed yet not discount the financial specialists stores), it is a decent source to distribute about those ICOs. it will be useful for speculators. I trust we require more standards and direction for ICOs for the better crypto future.

I think that there is already no hype in ICOs. ICOs started in 2017 have to show the results according to their roadmaps and many of them cannot do it because of unsuccessful development and initial goals far of the life. Also in 2017 the most interesting ideas were already used. That's why now there will be less ICO, but they should be more reliable.

As soon as regulation appears in the main countries of the USA, the EU, South Korea, China, Japan and so on. Regulation will be either state, or in the person of any voluntary association for certification and verification of projects coming out on ICO.

In the event that ICO is fraudolent it is as of now authorized seeing extortion is a wrongdoing regardless of whether conferred through 'unregulated' ICOs. At any rate I think publicity has officially finished or possibly has seen an unprecedent downside after BTC crest in December. Before the BTC drop ICOs were effortlessly achieving delicate and hard top, now it isn't so natural and we are seeing numerous token consumes. Over the long haul great undertakings will be great, cash gathering one will gradually kick the bucket. Continuously do you profound possess research and you will be great.

I think that there is no need for any action on the part of the state. The market itself will regulate this process and squeeze out unsuccessful or unscrupulous projects.

I do not think it is necessary, ICO helps attract capital into the market and we can not stop it. However, because calling ICO easily makes many projects are not good or scam still open daily. We just need strict regulation to eliminate bad projects, protect investors.

This year most of the ico has no hype already, they are generally under ico price so peoples dont participate to icos much, most of them just collecting money and doing nothing.
