Why even have a wallet or save a wallet if you just need to save the seed of words as the key? Will Wallet 2 be an online wallet where you can just enter with your seed? Have the seed saved in cache and add a pin number, easy for login on the same computer. Like Nxt can enter with an account or active with the seed. Or https://heatwallet.com/#/loginJust enter seed, then further login is with pin.. You may be surprised to know but a web wallet in which you do not run a node requires a central server in operation and of course becomes unavailable when the server shuts down. It is also vulnerable to DNS hijacking, MITM and a handful of other attacks. The server itself could become compromised. Anyway, we have one planned since people prefer the convenience despite the risks. https://github.com/skycoin/skycoin-cipher-webThis is the code for in-browser address generation and transaction signing for Skycoin. Just hasn't been turned into a app. Our efforts are focused on improving the desktop wallet first. Yes and that is solved by the rewards for running nodes so no one needs a central webwallet server as we have our nodes 24/7.

They are not Skycoin blockchain nodes. Although skywire will be used for transmitting skycoin blockchain data eventually, as any data will be able to be sent over skywire.

So how many nodes are running the sky blockchain external to the dev team? How are you encouraging skycoin to be decentralized in the short term without rewards?

Everytime you create a wallet it generates a seed. Make sure you save this seed. This creates the entropy and allows you to access to coins.

Could someone copy the list of nodes to connect to and boards to subscribe to from the Telegram channel and post them here? I don't use Telegram and I'd rather not have to buy a burner phone just to get the list. Thanks. xyzzyx

How does Skycoin solve scalability problems? The project is very interesting, but I must say there's another one with very strong tech, which was also being developed for 4 years, the one which had DAG first actually, but then abandoned it due to its scalability problems. I'm talking about Radix (formerly eMunie), which is coming out this year. They already have made their first private deployment live in one of the 2017 YCombinator startups. Not a pilot, trial, but a real product. If you haven't heard about it, you should have to, because it will really be a game changer, not Byteball or IOTA. I'm always looking for interesting tech and my top 2 are Radix and Skycoin

Depends if you're using Windows. I think I had the same problem after upgrading, where it would keep on synching indefinitely and just show a balance of 0. Turns out that before I could install the new wallet, I had to delete the folders Skycoin creates in these spots: C:\Users\[Username]\.skycoin and C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Roaming\Skycoin.
It seems like the older stuff doesn't get deleted from inside, so when you try opening the v0.19 wallet, it tries to use stuff from the v0.18 version. So yeah, try deleting everything including any hidden folders, then do a fresh install. It's probably the same for iOS. Hope this helps.
Thanks man! Works for me and everything s fine now. wow says I have 0 skycoin. Why is this wallet broken, please be a temporary glitch
Try the post above! Should work for you. If not, write again.

This forum is dead and the price is dead...
There maybe a correlation.
Becasue you moved to telegram there is no productive conversations here.
BTC talk is the first place new crypto people go to study a new platform and they see nothing happening here.
