My opinion:  SKY is dead.  Synth is a nutter and if you have a Skyminer, as I did I suggest you should sell it for parts and get out.  Sudo and Synth killed the coin, kittycash is rubbish and does anyone really believe TPTB will allow a few hacks with an idea and some tech know how to muscle in and make AOL etc redundant.  Cmon people, sure have faith in the space that is Blockchain technology, but also see the facts clearly available with a few days research.

1:  Toxic Leadership
2:  Toxic Telegram
3:  Giggling, compulsive liar as "CEO" - home invasion, if you believe that I have some FREE Skyminer parts I am happy to send you FOC
4:  Claims of dozens of banks and govs lining up to embrace SKY - do you really believe that?  Really?  Ok
5:  There is no five, there are 100s of reasons to move on from SKY.

SELL or watch your asset go to ZERO.

Or continue to believe, have faith in the leadership and the tech.

Your choice.

Skycoin has had very poor performance in the market lately, this is disappointing and worrying for many people who hold the coin. It is important to understand that cryptocurrency is very volatile and can move up and down with no regard to the underlying fundamentals. Skycoin development has continued at a industry leading pace all year long and continues to accelerate as developers are hired.

Be wary of anyone who tells you that Skycoin is abandoned, or otherwise inactive. There are many projects in the cryptocurrency industry that are desperate right now due to their funds having been tied up in Ethereum or some Bitcoin during this rough bear market. It's a cheap tactic for them to fund scaremongering to try and make things easier for themselves by promoting negative attention elsewhere.

There is a new Coin Interview livestream with Synth on youtube right now.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iQ2mjUaRy90

Since I dumped most of my SKY after InvasionGate circa 100K sat...
It's not crazy to buy back in at 40K sat...
They are 100% prioritizing SkyWire next 2-3 months and standing up a live meshnet is a Big Deal.

You know what bothers me?

World class Assholes like Brock Pierce...
Who fly around the world doing drugs and throwing parties while pretending to be fucking Visionaries...
Ya man, billionaire "nomad philanthropists" with stories in Rolling Fucking Stone...
Brock = juvenile delinquent jabbering nonsense from The Last Dictator set to trance...
They methodically SUCK EVERY LAST DOLLAR out of crypto with scams like EOS.

FUCK OFF. The world is run by 100 Old Men that can squash Brock like the bug he is.

I'd rather bet on a guy like Brandon who's working hard 24/7 and obsessed with his project...
At least he seems like a VERY well-informed ADULT. I could be wrong... do your own research.

After listening to the first hour of this... I'll take Brandon over Brock any day...
Crypto is all about picking your scams carefully and at $24 million cap a working meshnet will 10x that.

Well its quite hard to tell in the bear market we are in right now. Especially as the Skyminer rewards are paid monthly there is just a higher sell pressure compared to the buy side. No real magic behind it. A lot projects with a higher capitalization which retraced nearly 90%. I actually think it will have a higher chance for a comeback than many others. If you are just here for the profits, it might still be a great bet

It is not difficult for me to tell whether or not this Mr. Squiggle has a legitimate opinion on the matter. Mr. Squiggle has 4 posts in his history each of 4 posts makes false claims about Skycoin and is biased entirely against it. The first thing Mr. Squiggle says on this forum is that "Synth should be put in prison." his latest sentence is "Sell the bottom." This is exactly what I'm talking about in my previous post. Be wary of anyone who tells you Skycoin is dead.

Claims of Governments being interested in Skycoin have been substantiated. Watch this presentation at the UN, and educate yourself as to who Stefan Brunnhuber is. Skyledger and Obelisk are mentioned multiple times. Many of the technologies Skycoin brings to the table are strongly business and organization facing. The powers that be are enticed by the economic prospects.

Why is the market dumping Skycoin? It's a big opportunity to make money. All this FUD around Skycoin makes it possible to supress the market to a lower level and scoop up all the coins. Coins going to zero is a meme. In order to sell a coin there needs to be someone who buys it. The only purpose to selling Skycoin now would be to buy back lower. And whether or not you can do that is not entirely within your control.

Skycoin is continuing to develop it's technology.

Watch the above video in full and you will begin to understand why SKY cannot survive.

If Synth was to leave the project it would implode instantly, if he stays it will die out slowly.  SKY cannot win.

Period.

I was a SKY supporter since May 2017, I approached MGT to become a SKY ambassador.  I got a sky miner and was getting multitudes of folks in Sydney interested and 3 were about to buy in... and then it all came undone.

The above video pretty much symbolises why SKY imploded.

Synth opened his mouth essentially.

Yeah sure, I have seen every sky interview ever made and most several times.  The original coin interviews were for me at the time the most inspiring content in this space.  The holes started to emerge in September last year and the bottom fell out the day after the so called home invasion.

Obelisk gone. Consensus gone.  "...and all the other junk" - Synth

And soon, your Sky miner will be a pretty box for you to show your friends.  I am turning mine into a coffee table base.

A highly functional base that is better than Bitcoin and Ethereum and unlike IOTA has a real world use case.  He is nuts folks, get out now.

Some say fear those that tell you to sell.  Ok then, fear me, and wake up while you are at it.

Do your homework mate, Obelisk has been canned, as it was to quote Synth "Junk".  I have spent many hundreds of hours looking at SKY - I do not come to my conclusion that it will fail on a guess.

Anyway all the best and good luck with your endeavours.

You have no credibility. The account you post on is 100% Skycoin FUD postings that go back to June 20, 2018. Whether or not it was wise for Synth to appear in public with a live interview so soon after the attack while he and his family were still shaken up is arguable. That being said, Synth is the last person who will admit to having been frightened by the experience. This makes a stark contrast to the character of those who attack the Skycoin project. Take a moment to review the post history of the cowardly MrSquiggle.

There is one fundamental specification that Skycoin's consensus algorithm must satisfy in order to permit both Skycoin and other Sky Fiber blockchain implementations to function as intended. It is not possible to use current industry standard consensus algorithms POW, POS, and DPOS to satisfy this requirement. Skycoin's Obelisk must have zero block reward and zero transaction fees, providing zero reward for running a consensus node. The barriers and costs associated with participating in the consensus algo must be low enough that the act of contribution to the network is sufficient reward in and of itself. No matter how great of a design overhaul that is undertaken, Skycoin's consensus algo will satisfy that fundamental spec. Though you attempt to cherry pick statements out of Synth's voluminous content and then present them out of context in order to push your malicious narrative, everyone who has studied the Skycoin project in full agrees with me on this point. Your claims regarding Obelisk are simply a matter of branding, mere marketing strategy with no bearings on the underlying fundamentals of the project. Skycoin's consensus algorithem Obelisk, currently under development, will remain named "Obelisk" unless there is an official rebranding announcement.

A reminder that the Skycoin mobile wallet has been released for Android 6.0 and up. Download it at the google store.

Cryptography and blockchain consensus algorithms are hardcore science...
It's the kind of thing meticulously designed by very serious guys with advanced degrees...
(Unless you just fork a variation of Bitshares/Steem/EOS DPOS so all your friends can get rich).

While SKY is interesting, all I see is promoters and hand-waving and astroturf...
An echo chamber of SKY insiders with zero outside commentary or interest by crypto experts or twitter shills...
But at least you guys are not gonna "replace Amazon" like the clowns at Sia Smiley

Not saying it's a bad investment, I'm trading it...
Because big profits are made from sketchy projects that pump on a Good Story.

Look I love the confidence of Skycoin and in the end its about the tech not PR BUT...

SUDO the Admin on telegram really needs to be removed. He is giving a terrible image problem to Skycoin, he shuts down any conversation and is aggressive and obnoxious. I really hope Synth and other leaders recognise the guy really is toxic. Crypto is freedom and its also freedom to fire an asshole. Why ruin the image of a project cause of a prick like him? He can be replaced by anyone, get rid of him Skycoin if the community is listened to please just get rid of him.

true this ...

A month later SKY is UP 25% at $30 million cap... while most ALT indices have crashed another 20%.

You can check test nodes at the link above...
Up from 7500 to 8100, but much of that is probably virtual test nodes...
Though it would not surprise me if there are ballpark 500 "daily users" running actual hardware and getting paid SKY monthly...
That 500 daily users would be > that ANY project on Ethereum including IDEX... so not bad for the #138 coin.

Skywire is the future!!

Sudo and Synth are calm, cool and collected tech gods!!

Ethereum and Bitcoin have nothing on SKY!

Right?

DYOR maybe - spend a week in their telegram and if you ask sensible questions and don't get banned I commend you.

Maybe watch Synth's interview here:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dL5wVMUJJ7w

Maybe watch the full interview.

SKY is dead and will not recover from homeinvasiongate.  There very likely was no home invasion, there are no culprits in prison.   Perhaps we endured an elaborate internally orchestrated hoax that went wrong?

It does not matter really.  All one has to do is listen to Synth in the above linked interview (the whole interview) and it becomes very clear.  SKY has no future.

8000 - 80000 - 800000 dedicated SKY node operators cannot save a coin that was killed by its "CEO".

There is no undoing what what said and the manner it was said.

Ask yourself, could Apple or Google survive if their fearless leader/s spoke half the vitriolic rubbish that the man that calls himself Synth has dribbled and giggled over the last six months?  Or if SUDO "joked" as he banned members of his own community?

And people think SKY will survive?

IF it gets off the ground, every word that man ever said will go under the microscope and it will be the end for SKY.

If anyone looks at this rationally they come to the conclusion that SKY is already dead.

Hodl if you have faith, and good luck to you.

And if SKY does succeed I will gladly eat my words.

Will I eat my words?

Time will tell.

Should have been obvious that Skycoin was shady as soon as they endorsed the shady af Qtum ICO and their chief thief Patrick Dai.

I totally agree.  Patrick and Brandon/Brendon whatever that scammers name is, belong in PRISON.

The Skywire testnet is online and growing, with a node count of 7500 so far.
http://discovery.skycoin.net:8001/#/

Since I dumped most of my SKY after InvasionGate circa 100K sat...
It's not crazy to buy back in at 40K sat...
They are 100% prioritizing SkyWire next 2-3 months and standing up a live meshnet is a Big Deal.

Crypto is all about picking your scams carefully and at $24 million cap a working meshnet will 10x that.

Well, SKY is still at 60K sat up 50% from it's lows.. it's been a fabulous coin to trade.

The Dev team spends all of it's time astroturfing Reddit, flying to expensive conferences, etc...
These people and their "friends" are shady as fuck, but so are 90% of the people involved in crypto...
Especially the ones who pretend to occupy the Moral High Ground.

Like that Solar Bankers project they are gonna float on SKY...
About 3% of the world's energy is solar and that comes out of nuclear, not hydrocarbons...
So anyone from California/Singapore "helping stone age people" somewhere with ultra-expensive solar...
Is totally selling you a Cool Story, man.

It's counter intuitive, but you will make more $$$ picking your scams wisely than "investing" in "quality projects".

Wanna bet a Big Pump is incoming?

First of all, the idea of the project is very nice and your concepts and implementations are very impressive. In your whitepaper have whole acknowledgment of the project that can help the users to join the project easily. I hope it will be a successful in the future. So keep your work hard guys and all the best for your bright future. Cheesy
