But, they often wait for the game situation to change and confirm the bets when it becomes clear that the bet you selected has a low chance of winning. This leaves the user completely in limbo, because you can't cancel a bet while it says "bet received - pending".
If you choose 'negotiable odds', you can. I'm well aware. I chose negotiate for my Fischer 5.6 bet (2 posts above), and look what happened. In negotiate they search for other customer and if not available then they do this with less odds and some time they reject the bet its all happen

I placed a bet on Fischer (ATP Tennis) at 5.6, sent the .15 btc, and waited. Direct Bet received the btc, and the screen showed "Pending" and also "Open for additional betting". While waiting for my bet to be confirmed, I checked the odds, which were still 5.6. My bet should have been confirmed as soon as it was received. Directbet support told me the odds were never at 5.6. Completely untrue. I ordered the bet at 5.6 http://directbet.eu/BetStatus.cshtml?BetID=1F5Rx9aEKErMokn58QnECVDo6btzXaMuE7The "Negotiate Odds" betting option allows you to obtain better odds for your bets, but if you set the minimum required odds too high, you might miss the bet. You ordered this bet and requested a minimum odds of 5.6. When your bet was received, the odds were 4.1. The odds then went up to 4.6. You had an option to lower the minimum required odds and get your bet confirmed but you elected to cancel the bet. Per your request, your bet was then canceled and refunded and therefore no payout is due.

This is completely untrue. I NEVER enter my own odds. NEVER. You owe me .69. Proof from browser history that I have never entered 5.6 (thank you browser auto-complete feature) http://imgur.com/qtAkrfR

The bet that you ordered was Martin Fischer at odds of 5.6 or better, as you can verify here : http://directbet.eu/BetStatus.cshtml?BetID=1F5Rx9aEKErMokn58QnECVDo6btzXaMuE7You selected the "Negotiate Odds" betting option and set the minimum odds to 5.6. In the future, if you'd like your bet to always confirm at the best available odds by the time it is received, use the "Flexible Odds" betting option instead of negotiating better odds.

I ordered the bet at by selecting "negotiate" at the default current odds, which were 5.6
I NEVER typed in 5.6, which is what the picture illustrates. The bet was received, and showed as pending while the odds were still 5.6 (I checked, and hit refresh 3 times). Directbet then drastically lowered the odds to 2.8. My bet should have been confirmed instantly.
Directbet is trying to say that I set the odds at 5.6. They were ALREADY THERE!

If you make a negotiate bet, a certain odd is automatically filled in. If you don't change that odd, your bet will be confirmed at that filled in odd. My guess is that the 5.6 automatically was filled in.

When you select the "Negotiate Odds" betting option, by default, the minimum odds are set to the current odds, and you have an option to change it. In this bet you didn't change it and so the minimum odds were set to 5.6 This bet was placed in-play. By the time your bet transfer was received, the odds were reduced to 4.6 due to developments in the game. You had an option to lower the minimum required odds and get your bet confirmed but you elected to cancel the bet. Per your request, your bet was then canceled and refunded and therefore no payout is due.

They are middle men. They get their odds from Cloudbet & Bet365
That's not true. They confirm bets when it is advantageous to them. They have all the power and control. When they see a bet come in, they can confirm it at whatever odds they want (if flexible odds selected).
When you use the "Flexible Odds" betting option we confirm your bet at the current available odds. As soon as we receive your bet transfer, we immediately make a single inquiry to the current odds, and these odds are set as the confirmed odds for the bet. Most of the times, if you send out the bet immediately, the odds will be the same as they were by the time you ordered the bet, but in other times the odds might be higher or lower. What you are claiming here is not true. If you like, I can show you dozens of your bets where the confirmed odds were much higher than the odds were at the time that you ordered the bet. This will demonstrate to you that we confirm bets in a fairly manner. We are very surprised by your claim. We explained to you in the past via e-mail how we confirm bets and you kept betting frequently on our website ever since then. To us, that's an indication that our automated betting system has treated your fairly.

We explained to you in the past via e-mail how we confirm bets and you kept betting frequently on our website ever since then. To us, that's an indication that our automated betting system has treated your fairly. You are blatantly lying to justify not confirming my Fischer bet at 5.6. You say it was never at 5.6, but I ordered it and it automatically populated the current odds of 5.6 Check my screenshot - I have never ordered a bet and typed in 5.6 as my desired odds. Even after you received the bet, it showed as "pending" and "open for additional betting". Message said "bet will be confirmed shortly", so I checked the odds and sure enough they were at 5.6. Yet still not confirmed. Why wasn't that automatic? You sat there and allowed Fischer to complete the break and then dropped the odds to 2.8. Then, and only then, did my bet go from "pending" to "negotiate". Secondly, to test my hypothesis that you copy lines from Cloudbet and Bet365 - I checked the Cubs/Nationals odds today in the 5th inning and sure enough, your lines were identical to Cloudbet.

You get an instant notification when your bet is rejected and it is then refunded after there is 1 confirmation in the Bitcoin network for your initial bet transfer. So while the refund is transferred a few minutes later, you know right away whether your bet was confirmed or not. I'm sorry that your bet arrived in a few minutes delay and hope that you will understand that this was not our fault. Your wallet provider delayed the broadcasting of your bet transfer as I've showed you in my previous post. We process bets as soon as they are received. We have no way to tell whether your transfer arrived in a delay or whether you intentionally wanted to send it some time after you ordered the bet on our website. In the future, if you decide to bet at DirectBet again, we recommend that for time sensitive bets and for fastest instant Bitcoin delivery, you use the official Bitcoin Core client or its lighter version Multibit. These wallets can be downloaded from https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-walletYou will not have these delays when using the official wallet. DirectBet is lying here too. I placed an order at 17:45. I received a bitcoin address and sent the money at 17:45. DirectBet acknowledged that I sent it at 17:45. Now he is saying that he didn't know. He accepted it 7 minutes later. There is no reason for us to wait 7 minutes before knowing if DirectBet is going to accept the bet.
