Placed two bets on the Pirates/Cubs game during the 3rd inning or so. The game was suspended due to rain but I have not received my funds back?

At every other book, you get your money back. With DirectBet, you have to wait 3 days to see if it gets completed. DirectBet holds your money up to 3 days. If a match starts but is later abandoned or postponed and an official result is not declared within three days of the scheduled start date, all bets will be void, except for those which have been unconditionally determined.

Game is being completed tomorrow at 3. That's great but my other books cancelled my bets relating to that game. I didn't read the rule about holding my funds if the game is suspended. Don't really like my bitcoin being tied up like that.

That's another false and misleading statement by the hustler and scammer Peeps Place. The book that pays Peeps Place to rate them on top of his fake, paid, scam "ratings guide" has a similar rule, except that they wait for 2 days for the game to resume while we wait for 3 days. But it's easier to pick on DirectBet, because DirectBet refused to bribe Peeps Place for ratings. We believe that it is most fair to all players to keep bets alive if the game is paused and resumed the following day. How would you feel if you bet on a team, they take a nice lead, the game is then paused and resumed the next day, yet your bet is canceled ? We believe canceling bets in such a situation is unfair to the players.

We believe canceling bets in such a situation is unfair to the players. I don't think it's fair to players for you to hold their money. They may not be able to get down what they want on college football today since you are holding their money. There are many that bet their whole bankroll on Saturday NCAA football since there are so many games. If the baseball game were rained out today, you would be holding their money for the NFL. I wish you would stay on topic of baseball bets but have diverted to pay for ratings again. Books with banners are rated "A", "B+", "B-" and "C". They would all be "A" if your accusations were true. With baseball rules, it doesn't matter if one other book is wrong. No book should hold your money.

There is no right or wrong here. If a Baseball game is paused and resumed the following day, and you cancel all bets as you suggest, then those who bet on the leading team will be upset because now they will have to replace the same bets at lower odds. If on the other hand you keep the bets until the completion of the event, then some will be upset because their funds will be locked for another day. As you can see, no matter how you deal with postponed games, some will always be negatively affected and there is no right or wrong way to deal with it. Therefore, there are 3 most important things that we at DirectBet are doing : 1) We clearly state the rules. 2) We follow the rules consistently no matter if it favors the relevant bet or not. 3) We have a dedicated and helpful support team that can work out with you in case there is a problem.

One thing that bothers me is that rain could have forced the game to continue to Sunday. If it rained again on Sunday, DirectBet would be holding the player's money for 3 days. All books in Vegas grade wagers the same day. The same goes for all books in CR. They consider a suspended game the same as a rain game and grade it that day. The only exception occurs during playoff baseball.

I'm pulling for them if they get some competitive lines. I pull for all books to make it since it's good for the industry as a whole. Did you see the live lines today in college at DirectBet? There were times that they didn't have a line on both sides in any game on the board. Most were negotiate on both sides, at least one side but never on both unless it was something like -1200/+300. They could really take advantage of the lack of live lines in college at other books but they don't have lines up or they are unplayable. I hope they have some decent lines for the NFL but history says they won't have competitive lines. The other books say they will have live lines for the NFL but that's another wait and see. Right now the only reason to play at fiat books is that they have live lines that give the player a chance.

DirectBet rule in regards to postponed baseball games is similar to the ones employed by top on-line books. We have not made up this rule. The only difference is that some books utilize this rule during postseason only while others at all times. We at DirectBet believe in simplicity and therefore the same rule is used for all games. Why change the rule during the season and confuse players ?

Why change the rule during the season and confuse players ? Show me some books for the regular season. Every book in Vegas refunds your money. Pinnaclesports refunds your money...............The second rule that you made up is ties. All books refund your money on ties in basketball. You take a portion of the player's money..........When you change a universal rule, it confuses players. Pinny The result of a game is official after 5 innings of play unless the home team is leading after 4.5 innings. If a game is called or suspended, the winner is determined by the score after the last full inning unless the home team scores to tie, or takes the lead in the bottom half of the inning, in which case the winner is determined by the score at the time the game is called. Monies will be refunded if the home team ties the game and it is then suspended. Events will not carry over to the following day unless otherwise specified. Vegas rules For betting purposes, the winner of an event will be determined on the date of the event's conclusion. Sportsbooks do not recognize suspended games, protests, scoring amendments, result reversals or overturned decisions.
