in order to get on some (d)exchanges the code has to be up to date.

Relatively speaking, for a 0.8 branch clone, 0.8.6.1 is kind of up to date.
What is needed is what I stated earlier, checkpoints, seednodes, new releases for Windows / Linux / macOS plus a UPnP fix for the current version of miniupnpc.

can you do it? seems like you know what is missing...

Explorer sync finished.
All looks good.
I have to setup the cron job for the continued sync, but that's for tomorrow.

Speed has not improved much, have to check the firewall make sure there is no issue there, also a tomorrow job :-)

Swapped out the firewall for a new one.
Still getting very sluggish performance for the CPU / RAM power behind this.
Going to have to dig a bit more when I have time. There might be outages.

Explorer is humming along.

Do you think we need a pool? Diff is so low that solo mining seems to be good for now.

And I really have no idea how to setup a pool  Grin

Okay, we need bounties.

100,000 NDL Bounty:

Bounty for whomever provides DaveF with the code for the explorer that requires virtually no work for DaveF except putting it on his server (if that's possible).

1,000,000 NDL Bounty:

Anyone who updates the code on the github and creates windows exe therefrom and gives detailed instructions how to compile it themselves for anyone who wants to (including n00bs).
Update must include new hard-coded "most recent" or "checkpointdata", and the necessary components above for applying the coin to BarterDEX.

What is DaveF and what does it have to do with this coin ?

I'm DaveF Smiley
I am just someone who is trying to get some momentum behind the coin again.
No real reason, I just think is cool.

The block explorer is working, more or less. It's running another resync as I learn more about block explorers. But, this should be the last one.

Might have someone in the works for new codebase, will not know for a few weeks.

Good to see the explorer working!  Even if it gets slow, meh, it works.  And wtf is this?  There's someone on there with 1 billion NDL.....and here I was offering NDL for stuff.  That guy should be the one paying, not me.

I guess with all that in place, the next step is to get on an exchange.  ...Now...which exchange?  I've been reading about some of them charging a shit-ton of money to get listed.

as mentioned before, a DEcentralized Dexchange would be more cool and noodlier
the spaghetti monster would feel more free over there than on any centralized kitchen.
just my amateur chef opinion...

let me know what you think

btw what is your favorite instant noodle soup?

this one is tasty:

The decentralized exchange is one place to start.  But that is on hold until we get someone to update the code.  There are lots of other exchanges out there besides that one.

The website still doesn't have a link to the new explorer.  It seems the only link to the explorer is on this forum.

Bounty Update:

Okay, so the first bounty is no longer relevant.

2nd Bounty, is now 2,000,000 NDL but not to rewrite the code, but to provide a step by step set of instructions on how to compile the windows exe in Linux.  So simple that someone with no programming or linux experience can follow it to compile said file from the existing repo https://github.com/His-Holy-Noodliness/noodlyappendagecoin.  If any modifications need to be made to the repo in those steps, then they should be explained in the steps.  Again, in a manner simple enough that someone who has installed linux and can get into terminal, but knows virtually nothing else. Also, assume that none of the dependencies are installed prior to your instructions.

DaveF, here's a few websites you might be able to check out for us to get listed on some exchanges.  I say this, because you're the person dedicating money (website) and such to this so I think its only fair, to your advantage, to treat you like the lead on the "project" at this time.

Kucoin: http://kucoinform.mikecrm.com/tAssDWK

Gate.io: https://gate.io/listing

1. trying to compile a windows exe under linux makes not much sense.
but you can try the same in a VM or on a windows OS.

tons of tutorials are out there.

2. are you aware of the fact that exchanges charge tons of crypto just for listing the coin of your choice?

why not a decentralized exchange instead? just to follow the free spirit of the FSM who would probably enjoy more the freedom of decentralization...

(i may edit this post - just a quick brain burp after i saw this) Smiley
