Error 25 means it's in your mempool already.

Thanks. But still, I made the script verify with getrawtransaction before trying to send yet I get this code sometimes, so it must mean also other kind of errors  Huh

$result=SendJson('getrawtransaction',array($txid));
if(ctype_xdigit($result['result'])===false) {
 [sendrawtransaction code here with additonal checks etc]
} else {
 echo "   NOTICE -> Already in the network . . .\n";
}

Anyway restarting the client and will reconnect to pools... (and yes I keep txindex). Smiley

EDIT: nvm I see the messages in debug.log, the results are double-spends (inputs already spent), insane fees and such...

EDIT2: Made myself diskcache the tx'es raw data on disk and rechecking blockchain when new block arrives (old to new height check loop), as of now 957 files on disk left (not in mempool) from over 8k unconfirmed on blockchain. Now let's wait for bc.i turn (:

Renewing warning against storing private keys in Blockchain Wallet. Rob at Gli.ph claims their API generated a new address/private key when I first linked it to Blockchain (with whitelisted IP), but that address (https://blockchain.info/address/1EKqFXn3UmaZaJP5swqCUm3mbpdp63VhwR) never showed up, so I couldn't have deleted it, by accident (an 8 step process) or otherwise. The first time I saw that address was when he PMed it to me after I complained about his 0.001 not being received at any address in my Blockchain Wallet. He swears up and down that it's working correctly, but clearly it isn't, if private keys are ever getting erased without the possibility of user input.

Ticketed: https://blockchain.zendesk.com/requests/36977

This is not the first time I have heard this. I know someone who had lost 100 bitcoins after he created a new address on bc.i and received the bitcoins there. After a while he logged on again and ..... No bitcoins !!!  and that address also didn't exist in the wallet.

He wrote to bc.i and they were able to recover the wallet. What had happened (I'm guessing) is that they rolled back some backup, or it got rolled back due to some failure. He had not backed up his wallet.

Lesson learned. After creating an address on bc.i, ALWAYS backup wallet to gmail/dropbox/etc before using it.

IMO, the lesson learned should be to trust the software that creates the keys for you. And only you hold those keys. No webwallet or dropbox etc.

Don't expect a 1 satoshi transaction to ever confirm.  It is below the lower limit for a non-standard transaction.  After a few days, the transaction will either have confirmed or expired, and you should again be able to use the original coins for transaction (right now significantly more than one satoshi is probably locked up by the "bad" transaction, as the change part of the transaction is also unconfirmed).

If true then this clearly shows a lack of marketing experience. Having a free thread in the biggest business releated community where you can see problems fast, being able to respond to user worries and so on... and then simply let this die is not smart.

On top you can clear user problems for more than one person here. Now they have to send support tickets to each person individually for problems that could be solved for more persons at a single time in such a thread.

Not to mention the free advertising effect.

Though such things are only failures on the lower end of failures done by bitcoin companies. But still. Not smart at all.

Having trouble with the blockchain.info wallet app for Android.

Was trying to get a friend into Bitcoin. He is on Iphone so I had him download the Blockchain app. He was having trouble so I downloaded the app for Android so I could try and guide him from seeing what was going on at my end.

After downloading the app, it asked me to put in a PIN. No problem, I used a pin I frequently use for insecure things. I had to re-enter the PIN a few times so I know it had been entered correctly.

This afternoon, I wanted to use the Bitcoin merchant locator so I fired the app up. Every time I enter the pin, I get "Failed to decrypt waller". If I click on "Forgot PIN", it asks me to enter a password (which I have never set up).

I have no funds in the wallet so this is not a big deal for me. Just thought I would report this and see if anyone else had run into the same thing.

Edit: Just cleared the data for the app (This kills the wallet, of course). I'll see if it re-occurs.

Additional: Could someone provide me instructions on how to make a wallet back-up for the IOS version of the app? It seems simple enough from Android but my friend says he does not see the same menu options on his iphone.

Can i disable all addresses in a transaction that i dont care about? for example only my address receiving even when other received too in the same transaction?

Can i filter by date?

And are the fiat-values calculated to the bitcoinprice on that day or hour?

The iPhone version of blockchain.info is buggy, I would not use it if I were you.  It regularly sends transactions that require a fee without a fee, so it takes days to confirm.  There have also been reports of both the iPhone and Android app generating new addresses for you, but failing to save them on the server.  Then money sent to that address is irreversibly lost.

I suggest using a proper wallet, not an interface to a web service long past its prime.  Mycelium has a good reputation on android.  I use breadwallet on iOS, and can only recommend it.

EDIT: The real reason I abandoned the blockchain.info wallet on my iPhone was that it often just did not connect to the servers, so when I needed to use bitcoin I could not!

I don't suppose blockchain would ever sort out the problem that they falsely identify orphaned transactions as double spends

This is pretty libellous to infer such false claims on their web site:
