what's going on? No answer to 2weix loss of BTC 200 either. Is piuk on vacation?
2weix's coins were lost because of an issue with the first version of the android app. He generated a new address and it didn't properly sync with the server. Unfortunately with the phone being rooted and accessing the local wallet stored on the app the coins are permanently lost. The the bug was fixed a while ago in the new version of the app ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=piuk.blockchain.android). If it's a bug, do you at least partially take responsibility and are offering a partial refund?

If a person looses money because of your application's bug, you should atleast partially refund him/her. And regarding problem with shared send, what about other users who are missing money?

I take responsibility to fix any bugs as soon as possible. However it is impossible to tell whether the private key was actually lost or even in the wallet in the first place so we do not offer any refunds (The exception being issues shared send which is server side). If it was indeed an issue with the app then I do apologise but any coins hosted with blockchain are your own and you should always keep your own backups etc. The new version of the app allows you make backups to external storage much easier. And regarding problem with shared send, what about other users who are missing money?
They should PM me.

If it had been fixed before 2weix' loss no fault is on you and in this case I apologize for any implied accusations.

If a person looses money because of your application's bug, you should atleast partially refund him/her. I dont agree with this. 2weix' loss is extremely unfortunate and I feel with him for 2 reasons: - I've lost considerable amounts of coins due to software problems (caused by myself mostly)
- I've lost (albeit very little) bitcoins in a way very similar to what 2weix has experienced
It's impossible to deliver bug-free software. Piuk stated he holds responsible for fixing bugs as soon as possible. That's about all you can ask (except maybe for the software to be opensource). Otherwise you're stifling innovation (noone will release any kind of bitcoin wallet software if he's liable for anything bad that happens through the use of it). If you're still demanding to be protected from software faults, you are advised to test wether the software will do what you desire in the circumstances you intend to use it in before actually using it. It would be generous and forthcoming of piuk to offer partial compensation ("refund" is the wrong word because nothing was received by piuk, at least we have to assume) and I'm pretty sure he would do it if it was possible. But of course he cannot do this because there is no way for him to discern real from fraudulent loss reports and the latter would bankrupt him in no time.

As far as i'm aware there is no issue with shared send at the moment. I'm trying to resolving outstanding problems now. Please do not reuse shared send addresses they are removed after the first transaction so subsequent transactions may not be forwarded immediately. You site ate my 5btc and gave me nothing. Please message me back.

Not sure if just trolling .. or not understanding how change in Bitcoin works ?
You can use Custom send where you can specify the change address. You can use mine if not satisfied with that supplied by blockchain.info ;-).

piuk, Every time I make a transaction You create a new address to sent BTC that I did not approve! This must STOP! You are listed as a Hero Member and to be trusted! Blockchain.info should be called a scam! And I will do everything I can to stop you from this type of thievery! Yeah, I'm angry! Everybody that has used Blockchain.info should be also! Here, take a look at this! This is not the first time this has happened and it "MUST" be the last time it will ever happen! The top address is the intended recipient while the bottom address was generated during the transaction 0.3087 BTC, this must STOP! And it must stop NOW! jesse11 can you explain this further, please? Are you saying the change address (bottom address) is not part of your blockchain.info wallet?

At the demo account there are these receiving address: *Active* 1C5LqLaDJRFf2jRpMKh9ErZgpjDB2DK7Z1 Main Account - 1HB5XMLmzFVj8ALj6mfBsbifRoD4miY36v (Watch Only) Donations - 1PkHvfna7fHNi1BnbYjFe5tRDLQZqLYLyz (Watch Only) 1Nx5vcAJRF6gzrUEEocheknjm5378mhoW 1KL8BTYcP4Q79QVUkL72W5BmJ92iYNygqa *Archived* 1FsMGWFrpQa8sDWaJfS4isy5JWaVsbnfJT *Shared* - a lot *** When some want to try to deposit to 1C5LqLaDJRFf2jRpMKh9ErZgpjDB2DK7Z1 the money are automatically sweep out from 1C5LqLaDJRFf2jRpMKh9ErZgpjDB2DK7Z1 to 1J2tddvD6hiw4Tm32C6DbmsQcxNsCxEjUm . The same with other addresses. I think you should remove them from the demowallet. (or allow users to create (and save) other wallet addresses).

I'm not sure, which link is that? You site ate my 5btc and gave me nothing. Please message me back.
From the addresses in your PM it seems like the coins arrived at the destination address a while ago. If they are not showing please make sure your client is up to date or if there is an issue with the receiving website. piuk, Every time I make a transaction You create a new address to sent BTC that I did not approve!
So this is your bitcoin address http://blockchain.info/address/1Ns9v93ngjYJavLc6VMQj7HKPCv5BCPSRE? and you are currently mining coins? No transactions from that address appear to have originated from blockchain.info. http://blockchain.info/tx/cddf4fa049c7b57a3065c8dc31ddf2c52c03fd4ea98e18895d72bfdbb9c56dd5 is your transaction but you do not recognise one of the output addresses? If you have imported the wallet from Bitcoind then it is likely a change address. When some want to try to deposit to 1C5LqLaDJRFf2jRpMKh9ErZgpjDB2DK7Z1 the money are automatically sweep out from 1C5LqLaDJRFf2jRpMKh9ErZgpjDB2DK7Z1 to 1J2tddvD6hiw4Tm32C6DbmsQcxNsCxEjUm . Yes someone has setup a bot to automatically sweep coins sent to the demo wallet. It doesn't really matter if I change the addresses nobody should send funds to any addresses in the demo wallet as anyone can spend them. I will add a warning popup if someone tries to copy and paste an address from the demo wallet.

I recommend you to delete this addresses from the demo-wallet and to leave only watch only addresses. Isn't it better?

Yeah that makes sense. I've just left the donation addresses for wikileaks and erowid so if someone does accidentally an address at least the coins go to a good cause.

OK, I guess I do not understand, http://blockchain.info/tx/cddf4fa049c7b57a3065c8dc31ddf2c52c03fd4ea98e18895d72bfdbb9c56dd5 is your transaction but you do not recognise one of the output addresses? If you have imported the wallet from Bitcoind then it is likely a change address. I download the wallet and updated from here (the forums) What is "a change address" as you can see 0.3087 BTC was sent to it yet my wallet does not show it as an address or a deduction. Now I'm really confused. Yes one of the output addresses was not typed in by me, it made it at the time of the transaction. This happens every time I "Send" How can this be fixed or how can I get the BTC back?

Yes! What is the bottom address? I did not type that in at the time of the transaction, I only used the top address yet every time I have made a payment a new address is made at the same time and BTC that I DID NOT approve is sent to an address on the bottom! EVERYTIME! This must stop!
This is hilarious. Here, read this. https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Change

WoW, Thank You Krak! What that is saying: "When you "spend" bitcoins (create a transaction) you must use the entire value of an unspent output (of a prior transaction) and make it the input for a new transaction. Your wallet hides this somewhat by continually looking for unspent outputs and adding up their total value. So when your wallet says you have 130 BTC it simply means the sum of all your unspent outputs total 130 BTC. Just like a fiat wallet the value comes from one or more discrete bills/outputs" Everyone should take a class called Bitcoins 101 Damn, Now I feel like a fool My sincere apologizes piuk, Will you post your address so I may make a Donation, again My sincere apologizes

I feel like a fool too!
My btc did make it through send shared within 2 minutes however it didn't show up in my wallet. I had closed and reopened my walled app (multibit) and even "reset the blockchain and transactions" twice without the btc showing up in my wallet.
Today when I closed and reopened it the transaction was magically there.

The site is still using MtGox for its exchange rates; pretty much nobody else is doing that at this point as MtGox rates are consistently above everyone else due to withdrawal issues. I'd recommend using https://bitpay.com/bitcoin-exchange-rates instead, as BitPay does an average of several major exchanges. +1 Or, even better, allow us to select which exchange to rely on.
