PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

Drop Mt. Gox,

I tell everyone to use your wallet
Than I sell them Bitcoins, they end up with more money, but when they sell back to me they are upset they are loosing 10-20% off what your wallet tells them.

PLEASE!!

Arguing with an idiot is like playing chess with a pigeon. Even if you win, they strut around, knock the pieces over and shit all over the place.

I dont know if blockchain.info actually pays attention to this thread, but if you guys do...
The recent updates that limit most recent found blocks on homepage to 4.... SUCKS!
Please restore the 7 block count....or at least 6 blocks!

Why doesn't  Blockchain.info identify the 'Discus Fish' pool in the pool pie chart?
http://blockchain.info/pools

It's the 3rd largest public pool,   http://www.f2pool.com/    ... why hide it under 'unknown'?

This site knows about it....
http://blockorigin.pfoe.be/top.php

Quote
Bitcoin Block Origin - Ranking Pools
As explained on the overview page, this data is from the last 2016 blocks

N., Pool. Found blocks
1  GHash.IO  675 (33.48%)
2  BTC Guild  466 (23.12%)
3  Discus Fish  258 (12.80%)
4  Eligius  222 (11.01%)
5  slush - mining.bitcoin.cz  89 (4.41%)
6  Bitminter  50 (2.48%)
7  Eclipse Mining pool  37 (1.84%)
8  p2pool  21 (1.04%)
9  ASICMiner  6 (0.30%)
10  Bitparking Merged Mining Pool  4 (0.20%)
11  Give-Me-Coins  2 (0.10%)
12  Polmine  1 (0.05%)
We have no data about 185 (9.18%) blocks.

And this site knows all about Discus Fish, too:
http://organofcorti.blogspot.com/

Shouldn't it at least be grouped into the 'Other Known' category if only Chinese residents can join?

Here is some info on Discus Fish  http://bitcoinstats.com/irc/bitcoin-dev/logs/2013/12/29
Quote
20:05  wizkid057 1 Ph solo miner?
20:05  wangchun only 10% solo, others being a pool
...
20:07  wangchun if you read organofcorti's weekly report, we are "Discus Fish" (pool) and "For Pierce and Paul" (solo)
...
20:51  wangchun Luke-Jr: Our miners all located in china, we have to locate our servers in china too

Thanks, Blockchain.info for breaking-out 'Discus Fish' on the pool pie chart... It's good to see who the big players are.

I wonder if they changed it to avoid being sued by Rubiks? Tongue
That was the first logo; the second seemed fine.

I recommend asking me for a signature from my GPG key before doing a trade. I will NEVER deny such a request.

Why are the transaction amounts shown defaulting back to my local currency (EUR) instead of BTC? Since a week or so this is happening most of the time and it's getting really annoying that the site doesn't remember my preference for BTC and I have to click on the amount to change it back to BTC. By the way, why is it defaulting to local currency? imho the standard should be BTC.

This issue should be fixed now. Sorry for any problems!

Black news section on whole-white web page? Really? #dislike

I think we all disliked it, and this has since been changed. Hope the new look is easier on the eyes.

I still check this forum out, but sorry for the non-replies lately. You can always submit a ticket at blockchain.zendesk.com, and I will respond within a few hours. We have a lot of exciting changes coming up in the near future!

Hey Blockchain, you have an app for Android an iOS, but can you PLEASE make an app for Windows Phone 8 as well? WP8 is outselling iOS in 24 countries and it has a market share of around 10% nowadays, but there's no way for us to pay for anything with our phones, import paper wallets, etc. Basically we Windows Phone users can't do anything with bitcoin. Can you please help us out by releasing a blockchain.info app? I would be really grateful.

P.s., I'm a full-time Windows Phone developer myself, I made the Kraken app (http://www.windowsphone.com/s?appid=a3857353-599a-434f-8293-398745723de6). If you need help with this, I'm available.

+1 million. WP8 has an increasingly dominant international position compared to iOS internationally, which is crucial for global bitcoin adoption. And of course, Microsoft looks to be around for awhile (unlike, for instance, Blackberry). Don't miss out on this market.

Would it be possible to restrict the merchant API to a IP address and have the web wallet accessed though Google Authenticator?
Or let us restrict to IP addresses like this: 2.81.%.%
Or restrict login to only IPs from a certain country.

Are there any plans to improve the reporting on blocks solved by pools?  It seems that there are a lot of blocks misallocated to the wrong pools.

For example, look at Block 284562 which is correctly reported as solved by BitMinter.  The CoinBase has BitMinter in it.

Now, take a look at Blocks 284615 and 284640.  Both of them have "P2SH" in the CoinBase, not BitMinter.  It's reporting the wrong pool as being the pool that solved those blocks.

Huh

Where does blockchain report the pool that solved the block?  Are you talking about this:

Note that it does not say "Solved by", it says "Relayed by".  Blockchain.info is accurately reporting where they first heard about the block (which peer was first to relay the block to them).

The quality of posts has dropped to such a low level that all users who are participating in a paid signature campaign are added to my ignore list. You're using the wrong tool for the job. If you want to get real time attribution (rather than the relayer), try http://blockorigin.pfoe.be/blocklist.php

What was up with the logo change?

Typically this indicates that a startup just hired a new marketing person.  Typically the first thing they do is to irritate everyone at the shop by coming up with a new logo as a means of demonstrating that they do things.
