Was working fine this morning, and now this.

Hi Piuk, any word on these two bits on the Android app from a while ago? The first bit me again the other day.

Annoying niggle in the Android app - clicking the transaction has in the transaction popup sends you to an address with https:/ instead of https:// - which for me defaults to a Google search instead.

(snip)

Lastly, I used to be able to add a label to an address by choosing the transaction - is this still possible? I get the impression the "add note" button adds a public note instead?

Cheers.

i'm not able to look up address balances.

Any error message?

I don't seem to be getting notifications when newly minted coins are transferred to one of my addresses, works fine for normal transactions.

I'll look into this. Coinbase transactions are handled differently than regular transactions so there could be an issue.

Was working fine this morning, and now this.

Should have been fixed last night.

Annoying niggle in the Android app - clicking the transaction has in the transaction popup sends you to an address with https:/ instead of https:// - which for me defaults to a Google search instead.

I'm not able to replicate this, what version of the app are you using?

Lastly, I used to be able to add a label to an address by choosing the transaction - is this still possible? I get the impression the "add note" button adds a public note instead?

It adds a private note to the transaction (stored client side). The only way to add an address label at the moment is to copy the address to clipboard, open the address book, swipe to "sending addresses" and choose "paste sending address". The other way was much easier, I'll look at adding it back in.

New Chrome Extension

A new version of the chrome browser extension is available here. Due to a change in the way it is packaged it must be submitted as a new extension so existing users will not get automatically upgraded. It now launches in a dedicated window and has improved multi language support. The new packaging also allows access to the chrome usb interface which can be used to support hardware wallets like trezor.

On one of my computers, a MacBook Air 10.8.5 with Chromium Version 22.0.1215.0 (147829) I get this error:

My blockchain.info transaction history only goes back to late September Sad

There only seem to be 10 pages of transactions   - but I have *many* more transactions which I now can't view.  I didn't realize before that old transactions were dropping out of view.
Is there some way to access them, or do I have to pull a list of all my addresses and somehow generate it from the blockchain itself?

edit: oh.. I found them when I used the 'export' to csv facility.  It's not so convenient (especially as you can't search on addresses - only tx IDs) - but at least they're there.

Maybe this is an opportunity for further monetization of the site. I do a few transactions every day, and only have about 1100 over the past 18 months - but I expect a busy trader/merchant would have many more. I expect some may be willing to pay a small yearly donation/fee for a better transaction interface - especially if there were some way to store private notes in the system.
The android app seems to allow private notes - but it's not very useful because there the transaction history is even shorter, and they soon just disappear into the ether.

Are you able to update chromium? In not sure what the minimum required version is but the latest is 30.0.1599.69.

I've improved the pagination controls in the web interface now, you should be able to navigate to the last page easier. The android app still only displays one page at the moment.

Please enable HSTS to avoid sslstrip or a MITM replacing the http page.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_Strict_Transport_Security

With PHP check if the page is been served in HTTP, if so redirect to HTTPS.
In HTTPS set the HSTS header:
Code:
header("strict-transport-security: max-age=31536000");
(Example implementation in PHP).

That tells the browser to only use the HTTPS versión of blockchain.info for a year (31536000 seconds).
So, my browser will go directly to https even if I have no internet conection.

Thanks.

Are you getting alerts through other methods (i.e. email alerts)?

----

New method call to create wallets programatically - https://blockchain.info/api/create_wallet

By passing in a pre generated private key you can deposit and withdraw funds directly to the wallet using the wallet api or an external client. Request an API code here: https://blockchain.info/api/api_create_code

Getting SMS again.

I thought maybe there was a minimum BTC received threshold I set to trigger notifications, so I tried to login on the desktop site by copying and pasting my password (and retyping it) out of Keychain Access, and got "Error Decrypting Wallet. Please check your password is correct." then when I put in my mnemonic phrase, I get "Password Hints Have Not Been Set For This Wallet" in a pink box and "URIError: malformed URI sequence" in a gray box under it.

I was able to logout and login with the password on the IOS app (ETA: and Safari 5.1.10) for the same identifier... so what's wrong with the desktop site now?

"URIError: malformed URI sequence" in a gray box under it.

Could you check if there are any errors in the javascript console. Otherwise open a ticket https://blockchain.info/support-desk and I'll take a look further.

Yep, no need to worry.

TheButterZone, there is some problem decoding the mnemonic but i'm not sure the exact cause. If your not able to login into the wallet another way the please open a support ticket and i'll take a look as soon as possible. If you are able to login note down a new mnemonic and test into on the recover-wallet page.

Feature suggestion: When creating a payment request (by clicking the "Request Payment" button on an address page) it would be great if one could enter a EUR or USD amount. Right now you can only enter BTC amounts, but I do know several merchants who price their products in Euro and would like to be able to create payment requestsbased on Euro amounts.
