There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

I dont post much but have been around since before day 0 and Noble was and still is a great money maker for me. There may not be daily updates but what do you expect, this is a solid 3+ year old coin with a good dedicated community behind it and devs that still care. Were it not true the Poloniex delist would have outright killed it when the result has been the opposite, we are seeing more average volume on a smaller exchange without being in a short term pump and dump volume bubble like we would occasionally see on Poloniex.

It seems like we have picked up a couple of people who have just joined the crypto scene and are only used to the shitcoins that popup with posts every few minutes in their forum to drive short term demand for a couple of months then, for the most part, get dumped. All I can say is the crypto scene is a lot older than months and requiring daily updates when a coin is mature is a good sign its in a broken state.

well said brother, NOBL is bigger than what exchange its listed on.

TBH, cryptopia seems to be the best exchange, it just needs polo type volume.

I've been really enjoying 'topia - since moving a few coins across after the polo delisting profit is up for me - really solid exchange and API is a lot more reliable

I'm not too knowledgable on the topic but there are a couple of ways you can go about importing your old keys to the new wallet here (on the right): https://github.com/eagleflies/noblecoin/wiki

Just remember to keep a untouched copy of your origonal wallet incase something goes wrong Wink

Hello,

PoW wallet is not going to sync since nobody still keeps PoW wallet working.

You cannot use old PoW wallet with PoS client since they are incompatible. The error you saw indicated this. Therefore you need to import all keys from old wallet into PoS one.

Which methods of importing keys from PoW wallet to PoS wallet from the wiki have you tried already?
This is the recommended and easiest method: https://github.com/eagleflies/noblecoin/wiki/Importing-private-keys-from-old-wallet.dat-using---salvagewallet-option.

Yes, I tried several times on Wikipedia. No effect. Because I saved POW wallet's wallet.dat only a few years ago. Now restore wallet.dat to POW and you can open it. However, the input "listunspent" does not return any address. I think it's because my POW isn't synchronized. Failed to restore wallet.dat to POS wallet. POS won't open. Now is really confused. I have millions of Nobel files backed up. But I may lose them forever.

Several questions/ideas:
1. What exact error message do you get when trying to run salvagewallet?
1.1. Are you sure your wallet.dat is not damaged? Maybe you have another copy of it from backup?
1.2. Please create completely new wallet.dat using PoW wallet. Then start PoS wallet with salvegawallet option and report back what happened.

2. Months after migration to PoS was finished we used to have two blockexplorers runnning. One for PoS wallet and one for old PoW wallet. The old one is disabled now but you can contact "fairglu" who runs https://chainz.cryptoid.info and ask if he still has copy of old blockchain? This way you could try downloading copy of old blockchain and verifying what was your final balance.
