Argh... No one's buying or selling... We need some volume...  Roll Eyes
Seems like everybody is market making. I'll buy some extra once I finished my current targets.

I'm just accumulating. :

Yeah - its a shame polo delisted - was doing fine on the speculation side until then - not much development going on these days. I'm still hoping things may turn around if 'topia gets a lot busier.

I think going from POS to POW was a possible mistake it really ruins the market as then miners which are more active then HODLERs don't really sell in hopes of getting more $$$$

Just remember BTC went up about 15 times so that means Noble is worth 15X it's current value.  There aren't a lot of great low entry staking coins around that have a good community, and a reasonable % rate.   You guys should try to get on Tradesatoshi or another site so more people can invest.

for me nobl hodl its value the most of all alts. sure depends wneh you came in, but if it cant go lower, it can stay or go other way. you can get shitload of it for nothing now. if Rofo would just say hi it could go boom from this price, so it make sense to risk and buy some. This was once a great legit project, no reason it cant be again with some some help or new dev maibe

I'm not sure if I can help or have input really. So many altcoins now that they are largely seen as speculative investments, rather than tools to use to send / receive money and pay for things.

What hasn't happened in my opinion is getting anyone engaged outside of a very niche community of tech users with using altcoins - and that's not terribly surprising given that for most people in most countries buying into a coin is not easy and often doesn't feel particularly safe - I lost many coins through various exchanges in the past that were 'hacked'.

How is the average person supposed to understand altcoins, and even then, pick one to use when there are so many options?

Part of me is tempted to sell all of my coins to BTC and then sell them as well and take the cash.

yeah, this is really true... right now, like here in my country, the Philippines, most of the people that's investing into cryptos are focusing on BTC... though this statement of mine is true to the general public though. A number of Alts are gaining hold but the ultimate direction is still to convert it to BTC and then fiat money to enjoy the value gained and spend it as fiat money should be. So far, I didn't see a shop (online as well) here in the Philippines (specific in the city where I lived... Cebu City) that accepts crypto coin as payments. For us to enjoy the benefits of the gained value, it must be converted into BTC then to PHP.

Alts really needs marketing and market adoption... Noblecoin is a great coin but lacks market adoption (Rofo, please correct me if i'm wrong on this statement).

I'm been a believer in Noblecoin since the time that I joined mining coin last July 2014 when it was still a PoW and even now that its a PoS, I do mine it once in a while...  Cool

Hey guys, need some help. Downloading wallet but it's crashing on startup. I think it's because I adding my 2014 Wallet.dat file. Any suggestion how to make it work with my old wallet.dat?

The error says: error reading wallet.dat. All keys read correctly, but transaction data or address book entries might be missing or incorrect.

After that, it's closing with windows error note.

Hi. Smiley

Hi sir Grin Long time no see..

You know, I meant more like a word on the project status and your vison with it. Is it abandoned, is it on hold, do you maibe want or need help from the comunity? If you work on something in the background, dont tell us hehe. If you have some idea that you didnt realise but you would like to, we can try. I was with noble from the begining, mostly went out on polo thing and I am still kinda sad. I keep coming back to see if you would come back one day.

what is the purpose? you can use the latest wallet (PoS) then "copy and paste" your old saved wallet into the Noblecoin directory...

The purpose is to have a look at my wallet address. And since my wallet.dat file is ancient (early 2014) and also encrypted - "copy-paste" is no go here. Wallet starts loading and shutdowns with the error, within 1 minute or less.

Trying to salvage my old PoW wallet, but it seems like none of the suggestions work.

So far I've tried:
1. Copying over old wallet file to PoS and running -salvagewallet on startup (shows no transactions and 0 balance)
2. https://github.com/eagleflies/noblecoin/wiki/Importing-private-keys-using-a-script shows 0 transactions
3. https://github.com/eagleflies/noblecoin/wiki/Manual-way-of-importing-private-keys shows 0 unspent

However, when I load my wallet into old PoW client, it shows a non-zero transaction count (but still a 0 balance), but when I go to the transactions tab, it's empty. I also thought maybe my wallet was encrypted, but when I go to debug console and use the 'walletpassphrase' option, it says I'm working with an unencrypted wallet.

So the best I've been able to do is see that my old wallet has a non-zero transaction count (using PoW client), but can't list the transactions or detect any balances.

Does anyone have any other ideas?
