I like the idea of bringing in the "average" guy however I think we should start getting the nerds / IT people in as that is more simple. They have a better understanding and trust in online payment and I see many of them not being involved in mining (or crypto at all).

So a while ago I had this idea to write a " simple"  instruction for mining Noblecoin using Windows Azure (cloud mining with 20CPU's with no cost). This would be a win-win situation as we would get more mining power and users could get into minining without any cost. Howeverrrr the manual was written by me and really needs some adjustment (I'm not native English as you might have noticed)!!!
http://easycoinmining.blogspot.nl/2014/01/noblecoin-mining-using-windows-azure.html

So I think we as a community should step up and write more manuals / guides on how to mine Noblecoin. I think we should target specific groups, for example gamers so they can use their GPU when not gaming and buy gamecodes (http://www.cryptogamekeys.com/) with the mined coins (or donate of course).

You want to recruit? Go here and Start a NobleCoin thread.

Good idea I made a post on Overclock! Anyone care to bump it if you have an account? Thanks Cheesy

Fair enough.  Or I should say, how noble of you.  I'll keep an eye on them and give them the space to improve.  At least deposits and withdrawals went easily Smiley

I notice that difficulty updates with each block.  Does Noble utilize KGW?  If so, you may want to put front and center as I know some miners/investors are looking for coins that utilize it.

We don't use Kimoto (at the moment anyway), but as far as I'm aware the 1-block difficulty retarget essentially does the same thing (correct me if I'm wrong?). We've been well protected from the sudden fluctuations when multi-pools or whales hop on us and then immediately leave. We should make a stronger point of that.
KGW is a bit different. If I understand it correctly, it doesn't just take into account the new hashrate, but how fast it got to the new hashrate, and how large the gap was. Though I could be totally making that up. Here's a discussion on Kimoto's gravity well.

edit: but yes, I think we should be fine with a one block difficulty switch since it's pretty much the same thing.

Did anyone miss the vote for OpenEx? 35 votes on this but we had like 150 on crytpokopen

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=449473.0

Starge Shocked We are still in the top players, so doesnt really matter, the others are low as well Smiley

Cryptokopen might draw more others as well, as they allow you to buy with EUR/USD, which can be interesting for some!

Yeah but I think Norrisk has a point though, we can do better guys!

Given the great success of the cryptokopen poll for us, we can be n°1 there.
We have to keep it going.

Let's vote! Smiley

Hi to all,

I added a module for automatic payment crypto-currency www.glivet.com my online store. Just click on the icon CoinPayements.
You can pay in bitcoin but obviously NobleCoin.
10% discount (automatic calculation after payment) for payments in bitcoin or noblecoin.

I can add alt, ask me.

You can also pay Digibyte but manually (by contacting me after filling a basket) because CoinPayement accepts the alt yet.

I added two products:

NobleCoin teeshirts. Standard range, not luxurious as teeshirt Gli
NobleCoin Stickers.  10 stickers -> 4€

Free shipping.

It's been down for a little over a day now. Due to a large DDOS attack I was moving it over to a different server away from my other pools that are being targeted to get it out of the crossfire, but then got called into work; got home late last night, will finish moving it over today after I get out of class.=)
I apologize for the down time; once its moved over it should be way more stable; Larger bandwidth, better hardware, more DDOS Protection, better all around =D

No coins have been lost, so nothing to worry about =)

Lol.. no worries there.. as the community stands right now.. i can say its hard to worry when your dealing with Noble...

price dropped from 200's to 70's and we got a community that dint panic..no "coin is dead" no "Fail-Coin" etc...
I think even if  prices were at 1 satoshi... we would still have a core community behind the coin...

So cheers to the dev/dev's team/pool operators and community for instilling trust in the NOBLE system

Exactly. The reason why I stand behind Rofo and the rest of the devs of Noble is that I see a very bright future for this special coin. Unlike most others who aiming for maximizing profit short term, Rofo and team have been diligently working on getting the proper tools, resources, merchant connections, solid community, and even making continued donations to various charities EVEN when the price of Noble isn't what it was before. Truly something I can stand behind.

Rofo, can't wait for the Noble Marketplace to arrive!
