PoS hybrids are more prone to attack than solely PoS. My preference would be to phase into full PoS.

please explain the increased vulnerability u see in hybrid coins compared to pure pos coins?
if MM grant hashrate like pure POW coins even to hybrid coins i dont see the vulnerability

It is possible to choke the PoS side of the chain using PoW. It was done to MINT and also I believe to blackcoin.  That is why mint phased out PoW entirely.  If you have a strong enough hashrate on the PoW side then you are safe, but many of the hybrids don't.

POW/POS is superior. Otherwise someone can grab 5% of the coin supply and it'll only ever go up with staking. Lazy.

Atleast with POW/POS everybody's stake is continuously diminishing, far fairer to new comers and means if you buy up 5% and want to keep that then you have to be mining or buying.

My comment was addressing security rather than economics.

Guys I can still mine this coin right?
I just bought 625k for 0.1BTC and decided i could do some mining, given the considerably low difficulty...

This seems it could end up much more profitable than monero  Wink

Hello  Smiley

You can mine Noble for a couple of weeks, and then it is making the move to PoS.

There is def the chance for massive gains, the price is criminally low at the moment.

Of course!

No changes have been made to NOBL.  We are taking the development process very seriously. Bringing in some of the big gun devs that are highly respected to give input and do major consulting.

Well put presstab. We are doing this right and making sure that the transition period is as smooth as it can possibly be.

Noble is like a box of chocolates.

Instead of chocolates you get a box full of condoms for the next party.

Reading that makes me sound a lot more anti-PoS at the time doesn't it. Our primary issue was revolving around the misinformation on this forum and the lack of education for those seriously interested (hard to tell who is interested in more than an immediate buck also) in the pros/cons/risks/rewards and technicalities of all specifications. I think before anyone here can even consider mainstream adoption a lot more education needs to take place. I think this thread is a good place for that, but it can appear more negative than it is at times.

Sorry but im short in time and i can`t read all the last pages, so anyone can tell me what`s going to happened with the pos and when it will be ready for implement?

We are working hard to make sure the basic framework works smoothly for PoS.  This takes lots of trial and error. Unfortunately this type of process takes a bit of time which is why we can't tell everyone a targeted date.  The real answer is that it will be done as soon as we are fully confident and our testnet worked well. I can also tell you that we are in the process of bringing in one of the best devs in the PoS industry to help out with this.  So rest assured that you won't be disappointed, but also if you are looking to make a quick buck in a few days from now you probably want to find a different coin. We are aiming for long term value rather than short term quickly adding the flavor of the month.

Hope this helps answer some questions.

With answers like this, I'm very glad you decided to help out noble in the PoS transition!

I have XMR and NOBL Smiley
I saw live what the said great PoS dev can do to a coin and I was truly impressed (I'm not talking about promises - I am talking about what actually happened)
Among other news, I erected a buy wall - it seems to work, minutes after I erected it, buy orders started to appear

Nothing definitive, but you can check Noble stake, a informational and collaborative document.

I'm not sure everything is fine. Network hashrate skyrocketed to over 3Ghash. Difficulty shot up to 42. That's not normal. The massive influx of mining power could have a negative affect on the blockchain.

EDIT: Transactions are confirming as normal and right now the blockchain is all good. Crazy things happening with Noble price and mining though.

Last chance mining before PoS, lots of interest from the big guys. I'm on Poorerino now and the hashrate there is around 102 MH/s and 1462 MH/s for the network. I suddenly feel like a little guy with only 12 MH/s  Smiley

Hi,

My buy wall at 13 sat worked well but I must remove it. Could anyone place such a wall to replace mine?

Thank you.
